Don't know how or why but imagine wanning-shidi curled up in Mo Ran's arms, half asleep. With his face buried in Mo Ran's chest he murmurs that he hopes they can still be friends once Chu Wanning's shizun takes him back to Wubei... you won't forget me, gege, right?
When you're having a good day but all of a sudden remember how Chu Wanning carefully took care of the haitang handkerchief Mo Ran gifted him, how precious and important that small, handmade gift was for him - and how he rigorously hid it when later on he saw Mo Ran giving Shi Mei lots of presents after the wretched curse fell upon him. We know Mo Ran's true feelings without the spell, but think about Chu Wanning - who had absolutely no idea back then. The heartbreaking realization that this person who treated you differently and made you feel special suddenly turns his back and looks towards someone else. Chu Wanning felt guilty about cherishing that handkerchief and about his own feelings, yet he couldn't throw away the one thing Mo Ran gifted him before turning into a stranger to his shizun.
