Throughout the seasons we have seen the Devil be a literal goofball
In season 3 he was even turned into a cat (kinda) and plays with yarn. But that scene when he "killed" her, he striped away her life, watched her literally crumble and brought her back like it was nothing. That's DD's way of showing that even though he is goofy, he is still the fucking Devil and you should be scared of him
