The Buffet Buffet was an expensive place to eat at which was why you tried not to go if you could help it despite always missing the taste of their curry. But when your best friend offered to take you and pay on Valentine’s Day since neither of you had anything better to do, you agreed because why would you turn down free curry?
So you were now pouring the last of the curry from the pot, into your bowl, unshamefully finishing it because it was a buffet and there wasn’t even a lot left so someone had finish it and you were going to be that person. The bottom of the curry pot was the best bowl. Just as you took the last of it, you heard your best friend calling your name to ask for help in reaching a plate. Setting the bowl of curry on the side, you went to help your best friend.
When you came back, the sight in front of you was one you did not want to see. Someone was reaching for your bowl of curry.
“That’s my bowl of curry,” you said, rushing to reclaim it. The person looked at you with a slight raise of his brow,
“Your bowl of curry? It doesn’t have your name on it.”
“Why would you take a random bowl of curry? Get some from the pot!” Looking at the guy in front of you, you recognized him.
Yang Jungwon of enhypen and oh my- the pictures didn’t live up to seeing him in person. But, Yang Jungwon or not he wasn’t going to have your bowl of curry. Maybe you’d ask him to sign it but that was a different story.
“It’s empty and I’m guessing it’s because of you?”
“There was already nothing in it!”
“Excuse me,” a worker carrying a pot said since the two of you were blocking what the worker was refilling.
“Sorry,” you and Jungwon said simultaneously as you both stepped out of the way. The action of someone refilling the curry pot not registering in either of your heads due to the heat of the moment.
“You should’ve left some for the next person,” Jungwon said, slightly glaring at you. But as his eyes settled on you, he couldn’t deny that you were kinda cute and it was funny to be arguing over a curry with someone. He still wanted the bowl of curry, just maybe with your number on the side.
“Isn’t it better to open the pot with nothing in it than to think there’s something in it only for that something to be not enough to satisfy your curry fix?” you rambled.
“Sharing is caring.”
“Why would I share with you when I went through the labor of scooping the curry and putting it in my bowl?”
“Why would you rob someone of the joy of eating curry?”
“Excuse me,” someone else’s voice said.
“Why were you too slow and now I have to share my curry with you?” you countered.
“Oh, so you do admit that you now have to share your curry with me?” the hint of a smirk tugging on the corner of his lips.
“So you admit that it’s my curry?”
“Ahem!” a voice said causing both you and Jungwon to look at whoever it was only to reveal Ni-ki.
“Are the two of you children arguing over a bowl of curry when someone just refilled the pot?”
“Yes, we are arguing over a bowl of curry even though someone just refilled the pot,” Jungwon answered. “Wait, someone just what?” Ni-ki simply left and the two of you were standing there, dumbfounded at how stupid you were to be arguing over a bowl of curry.
“I’m Yang Jungwon,” Jungwon said.
“I’m aware, but, now my curry’s cold,” you replied with a small smile. His posture changed slightly, now feeling nervous at what he was about to do.
“Maybe I can make it up to you later by taking you out for dinner later tonight?”
“Curry?”
“Of course.” And just like that, it was now just your best friend who didn’t have plans for dinner.
