My Reactions to 1X09
My brain: Yep, this is going pretty much how I was expecting it to go. We’re shaking things up, resetting the board, and giving characters new opportunities for growth… Always good.
My heart: Oh, god! Why? Please just leave my beautiful ship alone! No, no, no, no, no, no, no! Ugh, just kill me now… My heart’s in a million little broken pieces now anyway.
On a side note: Slow claps and a standing O for Toby Regbo. I did not think it was possible for me to love Francis any more. But he made me. Amazeballs!
My Reactions to 1x10
Yay: (1) Bash’s sass, which apparently runs in the family! (2) Love, love, love watching Mary go tete-a-tete queen-style with Catherine! (3) Catherine and Mary’s ladies were just amazing this episode! They were by far my favorite scenes of the night!
Meh: The Mash scenes didn’t hurt my heart as much as I thought they would. But I think that’s because it’s pretty obvious that Mary doesn’t love Bash. Don’t get me wrong she cares for him and doesn’t want a loveless marriage so she’s going to try, but I just don’t see any evidence that she fully reciprocates Bash’s feelings for her.
Nay: Missed the hell out of Francis (he’s my favorite so it was kind of inevitable).
So to sum up: A good, strong episode… but I miss Francis and Frary, and I really want Bash to be happy too. I’m thinking if you put his sass together with Lola’s badass-ery, you’d have one hell of a fiery couple to contend with.

For the majority of this episode I was following some whacked out shampoo instructions:
"OMG!" "Holy shit!" Repeat.
After it was over though, the one thing that kept running through my head was:
I can't be the only one who's noticed that every time Mary kisses Bash she looks pretty miserable. Not once has she kissed him and looked happy like she did when she was with Francis. If that doesn't tell you something, then I honestly don't know what will.
I've been having this same thought for the last two episodes.
I actually find it quite funny that in order for Mary and bash to have a semblance of a relationship the writers had to completely remove Francis from the equation. Like they actually had to have him leave the castle just so mash could play house convincingly for awhile.
If that doesn’t show you who Mary loves and wants, I don’t know what will.
My Reactions to 1x12 and 1x13
To 1x12 (better know as the ep. with all the Mash and Frola):
I mean I get why everyone's acting the way they are and all. I truly do. But do we really have to?
To 1x13 (better known as the ep. that made my heart explode):
First, there was a lot of this.
And this.
Then, it turned into a bucket full of this.
Finally, I pulled a Nick Miller and stopped functioning altogether.
I can't believe Netflix UK has taken Reign off 😭 I was still in my Frary and Kennash feels before they ruined stuff in season 2
It is 3 AM for me and I can't stop thinking about how Henry II was fertile af in Reign (he even mentions a little village full of unfavoured bastards and their mothers) yet none of his goddamn sons could get their wives pregnant (even Charles and Henri III in rl)? Like Mary and her cousin did it ONE TIME and had James (I know in rl that Francis and Mary never had kids but still) and General Renaude also got Kenna pregnant after ONE TIME. Like Francis and Bash, you had ONE job. Given that these loved up (meant to be endgame) couples were going at it like rabbits 24/7 and Francis practically lived in Mary and Kennash broke multiple beds and made sure everybody knew about their sex life, how on Earth didn't they get pregnant with gorgeous blue and green eyed Valois/de Poitiers babies???
Note that I am aware of the child that is Jean Philippe but I refuse to believe that Francis couldn't get Mary pregnant but could get some awful "bestie" of hers pregnant after ONE TIME and Mary could ONLY have her cousin's baby???
