Modern Hisuian Forms Part 1: Decidueye
It's actually completely possible to get certain Hisuian forms in the modern day. However, due to the Inheritance wars (an interfamily conflict between Cyrus and multiple cousins over the position of head of the Akagi clan) most of Pro. Laventon's research has been lost to time and oral retellings from rare Plantinum Clan deserters. Today I'll be talking about the Hisuian Deciueye line and how to get your own owl that's 4X weak to flying! (Please make sure your local nurse joy is aware of what you are doing, that your doing it in a safe humane manner, and that your Pokemon agrees to it!) Every evolutionary stage has its own steps so we'll do it by Mon!
Rowlet: First off, slowly but surely introduce red meat to your buddy's diet. The Rowlet of Hisui was noted to consume half their body weight in Pachirisu meat. This is actually the easiest part, the Deciueye line is naturally omnivorous with heavy herbivores leanings so introducing protein-rich meats shouldn't be too hard.
The second point is DON'T LET ROWLET SLEEP. Rowlet sleeps to achieve two things, to conserve energy and to build up a connection to the metaphysical plane of spirits. This is the start of Alolan Decidueye's Ghost-typing. Keep Your little owl buddy up with fun games and activities to keep its attention. The recommended amount of sleep it should get is about seven per night.
Dartrix: there's a lot less to cover here as your care set the groundwork, now all we have to do is build on it. First off, make sure Dartrix gets plenty of exercise during the day. Hisuian Dartrix were diurnal, meaning they got much more sunlight that they burned off much faster than their nocturnal cousins.
*Second, make sure Dartrix is hunting its own food. at this point, Hisuian Dartrix was expected to have left the (Most likely temporary) nest.
* Third, introduce it to colder temperatures. This one is important. It will help stimulate feather growth.
Fourth, teach Dartix Low Sweep and Low Kick. Self-explanatory really.
*Finally, make sure Dartrix meditates. This will allow it to connect to the physical-spiritual plane, otherwise known as the Aura field. Most powerful fighting types such as Lucario use this field to enhance their already great physical might. Hisuian Decidueye is no exception.
Modern Hisuian Decidueye: Congrats! if you made it this far, your buddy's evolved into a Grass/Fighting type! Make sure you keep up the exercise regimen and it's red meat diet (fruit is okay as a snack, however)
Also, make sure you are aware that Hisuian Decidueye is much more aggressive than its Alolan counterpart.
It's also a wanderer, so it might disappear every now and then. This is completely normal.
Final warning, Hisuian Decidueye, thanks to the much harsher environment where it was raised, is a pure combat species. This means it NEEDS to battle regularly to stay healthy. Do not keep it as a non-combative companion, if you don't plan on having serious battles, DO NOT EVOLVE YOUR ROWLET INTO THIS FORM!
