Okay I do love sam...i really do and that goes without saying. And as much as dean is THE comfort character for me sam has also been relatable so many freaking times so I love them both like hell and that ain't ever gonna change BUT Jared..dude wtf was he thinking? U dont just say shit like that. The whole fandom lost a character that's been with them for YEARS someone we have loved and it just feels like jared reduced dean to a character that was just there to help with sam's happiness and nothing more...like his whole life had led up to him just to die and let sam have a happy life which I know isnt fucking true...it cant be. And jared who has portrayed sam for 15 freaking years should know how he feels when he lost his only family left...that ain't just a 'meh well at least we got sam to be happy' ending. WE LOST DEAN! And we ain't ever coming back from that but I just wish jared understood that spn isnt just some casual show for most of the fandom and dean isnt just some filler character that we could just accept him dying ON A FREAKING NAIL...that's impossible to even think about.
also, is this supposed to insinuate that dean NEEDED to die for sam to be happy? his death was the cause of his brother's alleged happiness on earth??
y'know, cause a character that canonically struggled with his mental health, feeling like he's failed his loved ones willingly dying to relief them of their burden is kind of a fucked up way to wrap up a story, don't you think

My memory might be serving me incorrectly, but it hurts so bad when i think about Dean confronting Mary in her mind, and dean is listing everything that happened to Sam because of Mary's deal with Azazel, but he doesn't mention ANYTHING about what happened to him: not that he went to hell, was tortured for 40 years, suffered years of abuse from John, almost died multiple other times, became a demon, bore the mark of cain etc etc and i know those arent a direct result of Mary's deal with Azazel, but the whole reason Dean became a hunter was because Mary died and John forced him to, and if Mary hadn't have made that deal she never would have died so early.
I just find it so so interesting and self-depricating when Dean measures in "Sam-sadness" or "Sam-age" when Dean was there too and could so easily say it effected him too, but because Dean has grown up his whole life devaluing his own while protecting Sam to the point of self-destruction, he cant possibly say how old he was at the time, or what happened to him.
I dont know im pretty tired and delirious right now this may or may not make sense?
