Rewatching Bloody Mary I noticed this adorable moment I had forgotten. Usually, when Dean says something insensitive Sam will shoot him a look that says āknock it off,ā and Dean will, somewhat reluctantly, knock it off. What I love about this moment is Sam knows Deanās done dealing with the guy theyāre talking toāknows a chiding look isnāt going to cut it because Deanās frustration is justified. So instead, Sam pats Dean on the shoulder and puts himself between the two of them so he can deal with the situation in a different way. A little blink-and-you-miss it moment that perfectly illustrates how Sam looks out for Dean.

fandom advice: don't try to interact with the wincesties. they're not ok in the head. and i mean that aside from the incest shipping. destiel is a much chiller fandom space but i don't know how close you're to season 4. either way, have fun!
oh the pain of not even being halfway through season 1 and still seeing all the Destiel content.
okay that last anon was rude as hell bc the wincest side I've personally found WAYYY more accepting, fun, and welcoming than the destiel side (and i ship both). that last ask being an example of that imo
anyways. just wanted to give some friendly tips: use the "anti" tags for posting about things you don't like (for example tagging it "anti wincest"), don't ever put hate about something in the main tag of that thing because you'll get hate back, and most importantly have fun :) fandom and fiction is supposed to be fun!! it's supposed to make you feel things!!
hope you have fun in the supernatural fandom and not let pesky haters who ship ANY ship get you down :)

the worst thing, though, is that whenever I try and go into the Supernatural tag to look around and find content, all I see is the Destiel āI love youā meme. And donāt get me wrong, I love getting world news from memes, but itās super hard to work around lol.

totally get the destiel meme thing, it can get repetitive and lowkey annoying. not sure if you know about blocking tags on tumblr? if not, you can go to settings, then account settings, then content you see, and then you can add tags to the "filtered tags" section and any posts that have that tagged won't be shown to you. so like you can block the wincest or destiel tag if you don't wanna see those.
spn gets a lot of hate as a fandom, as well as has a lot of hate INSIDE the fandom, but you just gotta find your people and your niche.

Being a Winchester? There is nothing more complicated. While billions of people are living a totally normal life, they are worried about how they will dress the next day, what they will eat, whether they will pass their exams or not and where to go on vacation; fighting every kind of creature was your daily routine.
You had always lived an atypical life, even before you were born. Your father, a monster hunter, met your mother and got her pregnant. He would come to see you from time to time, at least until you were four. When your mother died, he had your custody and let you grow up at a friend's house: Bobby. Bobby was more of a father figure than your old man. That's how you met Sam and Dean, your half-brothers with whom you had a large age difference, since you were 14 years old and they 35 and 39 years old. Even if, at first, they didnāt pay attention to you, especially Dean, John's death brought you closer.
But when it was Bobby's turn, they had only two options: to leave you to an orphanage or to fight for your custody. With such a difficult life, how could they raise a 7 year old girl? On the roads? Like their father did? No. No. No. So, they asked Jody Mills, their favorite sheriff. Although very hesitant, she had raised you as her own daughter, as she did after with Alex and Claire she had adopted.
However, Winchester's blood ran in your veins and you only wanted one thing: helping your two half-brothers, whom you considered as your brothers, despite not having the same mother. You were still young to live so much shitty situations; so far you supported it, without ever showing how much it affected you. Yet that day was too much. You had to kill a child, a vampire, but still a child. Having a knot in your stomach and a lump in your throat, in the Impala you kept your eyes closed; head against the window, fearing of letting your emotions overwhelm you a little too much. But you couldnāt get out the images of your head, even if in the end it was you or that child. You told yourself that he didnāt give you the choice, yet guilt was gnawing at you more and more.
Without realizing it, you started to cry. The first tears rolled down your cheeks then... It became uncontrollable. You sobbed, not being able to stop, you could hardly breathe.
"Y/N?ā Sam called you, turning around.
Your sight blurred by tears, you couldnāt see his frowned eyebrows, his eyes full of incomprehension and empathy.
"Dean, pull over."
A few seconds later, the Impala found itself completely on the soft shoulder, in the middle of the road, in the night. You immediately got out of the car and leaned against the car, trying to focus on your breathing, taking a breath of fresh air.
āInhale. Exhale.ā You thought.
Nothing changed. For the first time, all the emotions that you held in you released, whether you liked it or not. Your two older brothers followed you. Sam was the first to take you in his arms.
"What's going on, apple pie?ā Dean asked before caressing your hair tenderly.
Dean could be a cunt with Sam by insulting each other as a kind of affection or being a womanizer that could be an asshole towards some girls; he was a gentle and exceptional brother.
"Everything that happens to us... It's..." you started before stopping, your throat tight.
"Unfair and hard. Life has never been easy with us.ā Dean continued for me.
"No matter what happens, what we do isnāt for us, but to protect others. Never forget it. ā Sam added before kissing your forehead.
You nodded and you slowly detached yourself from him as tears were still flowing. Sam returned to the car, knowing that you and Dean would both need time together. Even if you loved Sam, you were closer to the oldest thanks to your similar tastes, but also for inexplicable reasons. You were in a state they werenāt used to seeing you in and he knew that Dean would do something, to soothe you. Finally, he didnāt hesitate to take you in his arms too, and you tightened your grip, clinging to his shirt.
"You know that if it's too hard for you, you could go back to Jody's? She will be happy and then your life will be more stable."
"Dean, I donāt want a normal life if it means turn a blind eye to what's going on around us..." you managed to say between tears.
"Weāre not super heroes and at any moment, everything can go wrong. Weāll never be able to save everyone, even if we wish it. You have the right to take a break, it will never make you weak or bad, you're just human. Okay, kiddo?"
You sniffed and wiped your eyes, slowly calming yourself. It was still difficult, you might crack again, probably before falling asleep, but you knew you could rely on them. You can always rely on your brothers.

ā³ When you tried to stitch your wound, you chickened out. Your hands were shaking, your vision was blurry and you were swaying.
ā³ Pitching, you joined your brothers in the kitchen, except that they werenāt alone. Practically everyone was there: Castiel, Gabriel, Lucifer, Jack and even Chuck was present.
ā³ They couldnāt miss your wound, your shirt was no longer gray, but crimson and you kept your hand on your wound.
ā³ āWhat the hell happened?!ā shouted Dean, leaping from his chair. He threw himself at your side, letting you lean on him while you attempted to sit on the nearest chair. āThe witchā¦ Sheā¦ She was more powerful than we thought and-andā¦ā you tried to explain before you collapsed in your brotherās arms.
ā³ A few hours later when you woke up, you were in your bed, dressed in your denim pants and your bra. When you looked at your injury, there was nothing. You felt good, like if nothing happened.
ā³ When you jumped out of your bed and went to join the guys, you didnāt have time to say anything that Dean reprimanded you like a child. You hated that. āAre you nut?! You could have died and no, you choose to say nothing!ā It was clear that you wouldnāt go hunting again without him or Sam.

15x04 Episode Review - What a Meta Rollercoaster THAT was!

Davy Perez said on Twitter that he had a lot of help with this episode from Bobo, Dabb, Meredith, Even from Jensen and Rob. Which seems pretty clear from me as I was blown away by what I consider a meta masterpiece.
There is a lot to unpack here so let me just jump straight in with my favourite part:
THE REDEEMED FANGIRL AND THE BRONLY GOD
In an episode directed by Jensen Ackles it both astonishes me and pleases me immensely that the strongest and most interesting plot didnāt involve the brothers. Every single scene with Becky and Chuck was a galaxy brain of meta and my head is still buzzing about it.
