Some off shoots of my deathscythe photo shoot. I love these in their own right but they didn’t make the cut due to either lighting or I found a better angle
I have a question.. Have the Gundam paint guides been wrong before? I used the guide to make the light purple grey for deathscythe hell and the formula it gives me is NOT the color. I tried to make the “mask, etc. color and it says 80:10:10 and I think it’s more 90:20:1 if that makes sense
I used that theory to correct that color and basically eyeballed it by added a bunch of white and neutral grey til I got the color I felt was right
I painted the parts that were supposed to be that color on the circular part of the runner to see if I was close
I think I got it but I was wondering if a paint guide has ever been off before?

Continuing the repaint project, finished the parts in the left and prepping the parts for decals on the right.
I’m sure you can guess which suit it is by now.
Got repainted all the blue for the body, just need to do the pack. Also stripped all the copper, I plan to re do the copper with another brand. Plus the parts had crazy nubs that I need to sand down for a metallic paint to look good.

Another repaint in progress. Stripping the parts I will be repainting still have to do the torso.
Really proud of myself for nailing that dark purple. It’s gloss coated for now cause I’m eating on waterslides. I also nailed that light purple grey that I painted the top crotch notch 😂
Quick snap build of the rousette wings. They put together very insterestingly. It’s a nice plastic and the parts glide smoothly. I will most likely be painting this after igel. But I should finishe proto zero 😩

Procrastinating on the ammo chain for igel decided to do up the blue on deathscythe. Just the gold left in the wings and it’s done but I think I’m going to put this on hold to finally finish up my proto zero. 👇🏻

Working on recreating this shot from the intro of Gundam wing. In the rough sketch phase.
As much as I love the way this looks, I have to move this case. The sun is beating on them all morning at our new place.
Just need drei zwerg and I’m done!
Not sure if I’m ever gonna do the thrusters on this guy but everything else is good ;)
I think I like the wings on rousette in the up position more than the standard position
I’ve been unable to paint for a while but I walk by my display case every day and I can truly say I’m very happy with the way the colors turned out on these.
Especially deathscythe. I spent a lot of time making that grey purple
Something else I wanted to mention about these wing kits. I’ve got a theme too where the chin pieces match their feet.
