pink silk sleep mask still shields tired eyes from sunlight peaking through the curtains when she feels her bed shift, a sense of comfort felt in knowing her best friend has joined her. still, there's no movement from her even when she smells the welcomed scent of caffeine. only when one of her favourite things to do is mention does she stir. isn't long before lifting her eye mask to reveal one eye, glancing over at poppy. " are you proposing a self-care day ? because i never pass up on one of those. " never will. in a blink she's sat up, stretching out limbs delicately before turning fully towards poppy, taking in the others appearance. " what are we thinking, because i have a face mask for everything. hydration, repluming, detoxifying, brightening, you know, for a nice glow. i also have some bubble masks that are just for the funsies. "

it was not unusual for poppy to come into noa's room unexpectedly in the morning and crawl into bed with her, especially after a long night like last night. a hungover poppy makes her way into her best friend's room with two cups of coffee. setting one cup on noa's side, she crawls onto the other side, pulling the blankets over her own body. "i need a pamper day...or just a facemask if you have a spare."

lips tug into a faint smile, eyes adjusting more as sleepiness begins to decrease. their situation is no longer something he's frustrated by, at this point it's just a thing they continue to do. " my bad, " hand comes up to his chest in a mock display, " i just assumed by this point you'd be familiar with where to find the coffee machine. maybe it's time i give you the grand tour. " there's a pause, a moment taken to stretch out limbs. brow quirks and soon, he's leaning in close, but not too close. teasing glint forever present behind his gaze. " with that he swings his legs off the bed, quick to stand, and he's tossing rhodes his shirt before making his way to the kitchen, open invitation for the other to follow if he pleases. / @delightfms

rhodes rolled onto his stomach, pulling the covers over his head as a soft groan slipped past his lips. "fuck you." he mumbled, keeping his eyes shut. "just like you to drag me out of a nice dream too." huffing, rhodes pulled the blanket back down, but only to his chin, poking one eye open at the other. this was becoming way too regularly. deep down, rhodes wasn't complaining about it though. "gonna keep staring at me or you gonna make me a coffee and send me on my way ??" rhodes finally pushed himself to sit up, glancing over at the other.

" in the blink of an eye she's on her feet, doesn't take her long at all to locate all the things she needs, from a headband to a brush to the face mask itself. so perfectly organized she knows where everything is kept. an enthusiastic gasp escapes her as she turns back, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "i am most definitely begging you for a self-care day, bestie." poppy hummed, slumping down in noa's bed. she hummed, taking in the room. she always loved how aesthetically pleasing her roommate was. everything was organized and lovely just like her. she could've sworn the sun even shown brighter and warmer in there. you took a look in the other's room and while organized, it was not as pretty as this one. noa's room always brought a type of comfort to poppy just like her best friend did. "hmm i will let you take a look at my very tired face and tell me what i need." she laughed, shrugging her shoulders. "i also think we need new matching pjs." she stated. "so i will be ordering some later. can't tell me no, its a must."

two cups are placed onto the island, steaming hot as he looks up, subtle smirk taking shape when he notices rhodes has finally made it to the kitchen. " look at you, making it all the way in here without a map, " can't help but to poke, tease. waking up together is something that seems to be becoming a frequent affair, but this ? this is new. typically there is no conversation, no lingering around. it feels like foreign territory. kingsley slides one of the coffee cups towards the other before taking a leisurely sip of his own. " so, you think you can handle my company long enough for some breakfast ? i’d hate for you to spread rumours that I’m a bad host just because i let you leave here hungry. "

rhodes was almost embarrassed with how quickly he started to lean in as the other did. "mm nope, i figured you could make it for me considering i put in a ton of effort." he teased, shrugging his shoulders. the male watched as the other exit the room. he sighed, grabbing the shirt and slipping it on. slowly but surely, rhodes pushed himself out of bed and made his way to the kitchen. it would probably push him over the edge to admit that he kinda liked whatever the two had going on. king's smugness drove rhodes absolutely nuts, but no matter how hard he tried, and it wasn't super hard, they always ended up in the same bed.

poppy laughed softly, picking up her mug. "please. teleportation.. there's no fuckin way i'd want to know what people's thoughts were.. don't wanna fly.. literally don't even get me started on what it would be like to be invisible." the redhead made a face before taking a sip of her drink. poppy grins brightly at noa. their friendship is something she would never be able to duplicate or replace. they really took the term platonic soulmates and ran with it. "noa, i feel like he's closer than you think, but i will happily spend my lifetime with you." the redhead, closes her eyes, letting the other work her skincare magic. "i think i want oyster.. i love a good pink. which reminds me that i need to get a new set of pink scrubs. i had a kiddo the other day compliment my only pair and decided i need to exclusively wear the pink ones." she hummed, biting down on her lip. "i pinky promise not to let anything come between us and our friendship.. no boys, no job, no nothin.. we wont break this, yeah?" she hummed, opening her eyes to look at the other and stick out her pinky. kai smirks, leaning back in his chair as he lazily swirls the piping coffee in his cup. " yeah, well, maybe i like boring. you ever think of that ? " his tone drips with sarcasm, but his eyes had that glint his eye that suggests otherwise. " a four day hangover for one night of fun ? says it all, really. " he takes another sip, taste somehow much worse now, but he swallows it down. hopes it'll make him feel a little more alive but it's doubtful.

"oh my bad, how was i supposed to know you were going to be hungover on this lovely wednesday morning." daphne teased, shaking her head. "i think you're forgetting the whole town was literally hungover for days after the beach party." pouring herself a cup of coffee and loading it with cream and sugar packets, the girl glanced at the other. "plus, i guess you wouldn't have that mug in front of you if i was fun. instead, you'd be all by your lonesome. how boring is that."

ace chuckles, shaking his head as he leans back, running a hand through his hair. " self-duplication ? now that one is dangerous, " he responds, squinting playfully at her. " what if you end up losing track of which one of you is the real one ? next thing you know, you've got a room full of super villains all fighting to be the main super villain ? totally gives the hero of the story an advantage. self-duplication ? may as well call it self-sabotage if you ask me. fun though.
