'it just keeps happening' references both of their events - rab continues to kill people and tony continues to get wrapped up and obsessed in the mystery 'i was allured by the straight and the narrow' 🏳🌈🤨 'falling never to fly again' references how things went downhill after the events of ggy, with sb and ruin happening 'the shade of the trees in the dark' to me that feels like a kind of flashback gregory would have? of tony or something 'damned to the end from the start' doomed by the narrative, but also by the fact that tony wouldve found about ggy one way or another. ggy made it obvious, didnt hide his tracks, so tony was able to find out, so it would've happened no matter what
