All of his time had been spent at The Reverieㅤ—ㅤand he spent most of his off days cooped up in his home back at Dreamflux Reef fixing clocks and watches.

They stood on the bridge of the Astral Express' shiny new airship, Aventurine having been testing out the new arcade games that Caelus had installed, but having spotted Mischa out the corner of his eye, and for some reason, he just had to speak up - especially once he noticed Sparkle being one of the people to walk away from the child. He thought that only the Trailblazers that recently came to visit Penacony knew what the Watchmaker's Legacy really was. Usually, he tried to keep he and Grandpa's secret under wraps for a variety of reasons. For one thing, it would have been REALLY difficult to explain that in a way, he WAS ( sort of ) his Grandpa; or at least the last remaining fragment of his existence. Sometimes, even HE had trouble grappling with the memories he grew up with and the memories of Grandpa's adventures. Not to mention, it would have caused more problems for Penacony and the Trailblazers.

˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤButㅤ—ㅤit seems as if the Head of the Oak Family had came to realize Penacony's greatest secret. Surely, nothing BAD could come of this, right ?

He cannot help but to study the young man before him. No matter how many times his sister has tried to explain to him just who this child happened to be, it was rather difficult to accept that this was the prized Watchmaker's Legacy. After all the stories and legends surrounding such a thing...how could it simply turn out to be just a child? One that seemed rather clueless on how best to help Penacoly at that. "...my sister has said a lot about you...It's a pleasure to finally get to meet face to face like this...Mikhail I believe your name is?"

‧₊˚ ⋅ ꒰১ ᯓ ☆ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤ𝑨𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆, 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏𝒆; the one that had been there to protect him from all of the BAD and SCARY things that this world had to throw at them. In his mind, his brother was invincible; that together, the two of them could do ANYTHING. Even that day when things when wrong in that rainy amusement park; he had the FULL CONFIDENCE that his brother would overcome those stupid vampires and that he would survive the danger that was thrown at him.

˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤYet here were the two of them now; one of them relatively unharmed but the other's life in grave danger. Those terrified blue eyes could see nothing but RED all over. He HATED the color red. Red brought nothing but pain and suffering. There was SO MUCH red.

A panicked glance falls behind them; settling upon the two vampires fighting it out with the current threat. In any other circumstance, he would have gladly went along with KILLING anything that hurt his brother. Now thoughㅤ—ㅤnow wasn't the time for the gratuitous violence.

He could barely move. No matter how much he tried to force his tired and broken body to just simply move, nothing was listening to him. In the distance, he could somewhat make out the sound of Jeanne and Noe fighting something, something that he should be helping them with, and yet all he could do was lay there in the snow, watching as more of the white was dyed steadily red, a shuddering breath let out as the cold started to settle in. At least he'd managed to protect Misha...that was all that really mattered right...though he did wish that his brother would stop looking at him with such fear in his eyes. This was hardly the worst state Vanitas had found himself in...he'd survive...he had to. But even now, it was getting harder and harder to keep his eyes open, his usual bright eyes already seeming to have dulled into a misty sort of grey.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ꒰১ ᯓ ☆ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤ𝑶𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 amicableㅤ—ㅤand it still WAS. The Bellboy was ALWAYS polite and kind to everyone he had met; no matter who or what they were. Butㅤ—ㅤmaybe it was those Watchmaker instincts; but he had a BAD feeling about this man. Could such a seemingly benevolent person really be the one trying to bring about THE ORDER unto Penacony ?

˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤIf that were the case too, it meant that SOMEHOW Gallagher and Sleepie hadn't been able to stop him. And THAT meant he would have to warn the Nameless he had invited to the Charmony festival. He had to worm his way out of THIS first though. Hopefully he was as cool and charming as his Grandpa had been.

˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤ❛ㅤWell, that's OKAY ! If Miss Robin prefers to think of me as an ordinary bellboy, I'm fine with that ! Whether I'm just a bellboy or the Watchmaker, I'll do my best to make Miss Robin and the other Dreamchasers of Penacony HAPPY ! ㅤ❜

He knew his sister had only told him, as she was unaware of the alter motives he had in finding the Watchmaker's Legacy, but now with the cat out of the bag like this, he had to wonder if the search had truly been worth it. Why had this child installed such fear in the other members? Surely, if this was all, then they had nothing to fear. They could go ahead with the festival and bring about the blessed future they'd been working this hard for. Yet, there was still that slight touch of doubt that refused to entirely fade. His sister's influence, perhaps.

"If I'm honest, I do not believe she quite understands your significance. It was quite a surprise to find out the truth...but also I am quite delighted to finally get to meet you in person like this. Truly, a blessing from Xipe".

Maybe it wasn't very nice to say that about Mademoiselle Jeanne ( but it was still perfectly fine to say that about Monsieur Noé )ㅤ—ㅤbut clearly, it had been the ONLY way to get the two to listen to him in such a dire moment.

˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤHe would beckon his trusty dog over to his aid with a swift hand; leaping atop of her steel backside to follow the woman. Seeing the OTHER vampire continue to fight the beast however, he would turn back towards him.

˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤ❛ㅤIf I see that thing back at the hotel, I'll kill YOU as slowly and painfully as I possibly can first before I kill it !ㅤ❜

˚ʚ ☾ ɞ˚ㅤ˗ˏˋㅤㅤWith that promise set in stone, he too would flee the scene with his dog; not ONCE stopping until he arrives at the hotel.

Keep his eyes open. Right. He had to keep them open, he had to keep fighting, no matter how tempting that lull of sleep might currently be, he couldn't allow himself to rest, not until he'd finally finished what he'd set out to achieve, a raspy breath heard as he tries to focus on simply keeping his lungs breathing. The blood is sticky and uncomfortable against his side, yet his mind seems to focus more on the fact he'll need yet another new cloak after this - he should learn and start wearing something a little more functional.

"Misha!?", hearing his cry, Jeanne had managed to retreat to their side, her eyes widening at the sight of the two humans, the scent of blood almost rather overpowering, but she just about managed to hold onto her sense of control, "What happened!?", quickly, she lifted Vanitas' into her arms, "Let's get him some help....Noe can hold them off for now" "Go!", Noe shouted as though to confirm her words, Jeanne glazing at Misha, "Meet me at the hotel. I need to run at full speed - keep to the back streets".

And with that, she'd quickly vanished into the growing blizzard, leaving nothing but a few droplets of blood in her wake.
