A little Ray of sunshine [Chapter 1]
Just a quick author's note-
This story was written for fun, don't take anything seriously because this is all for fun.

◇Chapter 1◇
A Little Doll
Making a doll takes time... obviously, and this doll wasn't so different, sorta. I had extra material so I decided to pass the time by making another doll.
I was alone, and left to my thoughts. Loneliness has that sort of bitter sweet thing to it, being alone gives you time to think and be productive but it reminds one that no one is around to see you grow as a person.
Oh well, at least it's peaceful here.
"Error!"
I stand corrected-
"Error!!"
I look behind me and spot the walking lamppost running towards me. He stops and then sits down next to me. I pay no attention to him and go back to the doll.
"Who are you making?"
"No one."
"No one? What do you mean 'no one'?"
I stayed silent, this doll is just an extra made from material I had lying around. So it doesn't matter to me who this is, besides... this doll looks awful! I should've gone with knitting instead of this. I'll get rid of it later, this was a waste of material.
"Well, I think she's very pretty"
"She?"
"Mhmm!"
Weirdo...
It's just a doll, not like it's a person and has feelings. It's just a bundle of cloth, strings, and buttons.
"What are you going to name her?"
"I'm not going to name it anything."
"Why not? She needs a name too, Error!"
"I don't care, I'm going to get rid of anyways."
"Why? You put your heart and soul into making her, you should at least give her a name!"
"Ugh... Why do you care so much about this doll? It's just a waste of material! If you care about it so much, why don't YOU keep it?"
I toss the doll at him and he catches it. He looks it for a few moments and smiles.
"You're, letting me keep her?"
"If it'll get you shut up, then yes, you can."
"Aww! Thank you Error!"

◇Chapter 2◇
Given a Name
A name...
She needs a name. Picking names never really crossed my mind until now. What should I call her?
I study her carefully, she's very pretty and kinda small. Well... smaller than most of the dolls Error makes. She has a kind smile on her face, a smile you'd see on the face of very welcoming and kind-hearted person.
She's seems bright and sweet, like a ray of sunshine breaking through a blanket of clouds. Maybe that's what I should call her.
Ray
I like it, and it does fit her. She is a little Ray of sunshine.
"Are you just going to stare at the doll all day?"
"I was thinking about a name."
"Really..? What did you come up with, oh so brilliant orb of light?"
I laugh a bit, Error's nicknames are silly, but I know he doesn't mean to offend me.
"I decided to call her Ray."
"Ray? Why? Is it because I used an arRAY of cloth to make her?"
His puns are getting pretty bad, but I laugh anyways. They mean no harm, so I guess they aren't all that bad.
"So you named the doll, what now? Are you going to take it with you EVERYWHERE?"
"Maaaaaybe"
We talk for a bit before I left. I felt someone having negative emotions in another au. I should go cheer them up before my brother decides to cause some trouble.

◇Chapter 3◇
Broken and Hurt
I arrive in the au and look around for the upset soul. They can't be too far away, I could feel their negativity from where I'm standing.
I walk towards the source of the negative emotions, the negativity gets stronger as I get closer. I hope I'll be able to help and cheer them up somehow.
I soon reach them, a human, crying their heart out under a cherry tree.
"Hello?"
They continue to cry, perhaps they didn't hear me.
"Hey, what happened? Why are you crying?"
They look up at me with tears in their eyes. Their eyes are red, they must've been crying for awhile now.
"Who are you? Wh-where did you come from?"
"My name's Dream and I'm here to help you feel better!"
I give them a warm smile to reassure them I mean no harm. They smile back at me, a heartbroken smile, they must be seriously hurt deep down. I sit down next to them and ask again why they're crying.
"... Well, it was my birthday a few days ago, but my dog passed away on that day."
"I-i'm so sorry."
"I miss my dog so much..."
"I'm sure they were a great dog, and I'm positive that they're watching over you."
The negativity starts to fade, I'm glad they're starting to feel better. It feels good to make someone happy, because it helps us bond and help one another when we're going through tough times.
We start to talk, when I suddenly I feel a huge wave of negativity coming over me.
Oh no, Nightmare's here!
"So, you found them first, huh?"
"Hello Nightmare..."
"Don't be so down brother..."
"You ARE the embodiment of happiness after all."

Geez, I can't decide on a design to use! TwT
Two of my friends, who are very talented artists btw, gave me their own versions of Ray and I can't decide on which to use!!! Both designs are so adorable! Aaaaaaaaaaaah-! @~@

◇Chapter 4◇
Night and Day
"Nightmare, what are you doing here?"
"Isn't it obvious?"
"Brother, I just want to make them happy. Now's not the time to be causing chaos."
"Now's ALWAYS the time to be causing chaos"
I really don't want to have to fight him in front of this human. I don't want to risk them getting hurt because of us. It's bad enough that they're going through emotional pain, so I stand up to guard them.
"You're always having fun making people happy, I should have a chance to play with people's emotions."
I do my best to stay calm, but it's not easy to focus when you have to protect someone who is hurt.
"Since I'm feeling 'nice' today, I won't hurt the human. Besides, negativity from a human won't be enough for me, I need MORE."
Oh God, don't tell me he's going after the town nearby. Who knows how strong he'll get from all those townsfolk!
Focus Dream... Don't worry, you can handle this. You've done this countless times before, so there's no need to be nervous.
"Nightmare, I'm asking you to please leave, you have no business here."
"Asking me nicely won't make me go away brother."
"I don't want to fight you Nightmare, so please... go."
"You won't fight back? You just made my job a little easier dear brother."
In the blink of an eye, I find myself hanging upside down! I really don't like seeing the sky below me and the earth above me, it's very unnatur- I feel something slip from one of my pockets, Ray!
"A doll? Really Dream? You keep a doll with you?"
"Put me down!!"
"Honestly Dream, how childish..."
He picks up Ray and stares at her for a few moments before tearing her in half.
"Hey!! Why'd you do that?! Error gave me that doll!"
"Cute, but I doubt you'll need it."
Before I could say anything I was thrown backwards and everything around me faded to black...
