Launchpad Headcanon
Mine: When LP finds the right person (I also headcanon him as pan and with Drake/Darkwing), he’ll want to marry them and adopt a lot of kids.
Launchpad is such a sweet guy that I think he would adopt kids of any age instead of having bio ones so kids in systems can have a good home. He would probably adopt 4-6 kids(don’t worry, Gosalyn is included).
‘17 Drake Mallard Headcanons
-Drake realized he was trans when first watching Darkwing Duck.
-Does everything to cover is chest due to his insecurity with the scars from top surgery.
-Is insecure about his voice, specifically on how much higher it is than cis men.
-Is socially awkward when it comes to talking to new people.
-Has a bad relationship with his parents.
-Dated Steelbeak back in high school.
-Wore huge braces and glasses throughout middle and high school.
-Was the main designer for the new Darkwing suit.
-Started his acting career working in commercials and being a stunt double.
-Went back to the therapy after the Starling situation.
‘91 Drake Headcanons
Drake makes up different backstories for himself because he doesn’t want to confront his rough past.
Abandoned his old life with his parents when he turned 18.
His parenting style was influenced by his parents- he wants to be the exact opposite of them.
Was a closeted bi for over 30 years until he started dating Launchpad.
Has an eating disorder- anorexia-which is a big reason why he doesn’t eat Morgana’s food.
Since finding out that Megavolt went to high school with him, Drake often wonders if Megavolt and him would’ve been good friends.
After Dead Duck, Drake wrote a will saying he wants Launchpad to take care of Gosalyn.
The reason why he was often mean to LP was to deny his attraction towards the pilot.
Had considered adopting another child, out of his wish to not be an empty nester.
His first career choice was to be an actor so he can play other characters and gain attention.
‘91 Negaduck Headcanons
Had the same rough home life as Drake, but caved into his inner demons.
Had many(up to around 50) lovers but Nega-Morgana and Nega-Launchpad are the only ones he truly had an emotional connection.
Hates dogs because he was repeatedly attacked by them.
Takes his anger out on cute things because his father would violently beat him as a kid for liking “unmanly” things.
Killing or physically hurting children is the one thing Negaduck refuses to do.
Loves money to compensate for his extremely poor childhood.
Actually cared for Nega-Gosalyn but didn’t know how to show it, and was upset when the Friendly Four “took” her.
Pistachio ice cream is his favorite because it reminds of the last good time he had with his mom.
His natural voice is like Drake’s but he lowered it to be more intimidating.
Destroyed any record of him before he became Negaduck so no one will know his weaknesses.
Louie Duck Headcannon: One of his early adult/late teens business ventures is the charity "Louie's Kids" TM (Name pending). Its a charity for children in poverty (like Louie was pre-cannon) being raised by a single guardian (exactly like HDL were). Made in partnership with Zan Owlson.
Also he donates an amount equal to the money he "took" from Donald pre-cannon.
Not bad for the "evil triplet".
Maybe underrated opinion: Ms. Beakley is THE greatest hugger in the entire world. She probably doesn’t actually hug people much, but when she does it’s like a full-body wrap style hug that shocks you so much that you just kinda sit there in shock for 5 seconds to regain your composure.
Taking after her Granny, Webby’s definitely up in the ranks too. She probably has the arm strength of a snake (don’t know what other metaphor to use) and can squeeze you so hard you hear a crack.

Which DuckTales characters are the best huggers?
There were a lot of hugs that we got on screen, and plenty more offscreen, but what are your guys’ thoughts?
Anyway, I’ll get the ball rolling with a few I had in mind.
Webby is a good place to start. She’s very open and strongly affectionate with people she’s close to, so she’s definitely a good hugger.
Donald is a very protective, paternal man who won’t hesitate to protect the ones he loves (especially if they’re younger); plus, he raised Huey, Dewey, and Louie on his own for 10 years, so he’s definitely had a lot of practice.
Launchpad! I mean, just look at the guy. He’s big, friendly, loyal-who wouldn’t want a hug from him? He is the definition of “golden retriever guy”.
I know I missed plenty of other characters, but that’s the point, I guess. I don’t want to knock out every character in this one post; I want to make room for discussion. I now give the floor to the rest of you.
