PRECISE THINKING AND LANGUAGE
Alfred Korzybski was a pioneer in recognizing the importance of our linguistic behavior, and pointed out that when we think imprecisely our crooked thinking works its way into our language and then our dysfunctional language leads us into engaging in more imprecise thinking. Ever since I started doing Rational-Emotive Therapy, I found that people habituate themselves to poor language habits which then interfere with their accepting that they largely are responsible for their own dysfunctional language, feelings, and actions, and that therefore they can change them.
Thus, when my clients say, "Joe lied to me and that made me furious," I interrupt, "How could that, or Joe, get into your gut and make you furious?" "Oh, I see," they often reply. "Yes, Joe lied to me, and I chose to infuriate myself about his lying." "Yes," I say. "Isn't that a much more accurate description of what happened and how you chose to create your fury?"
Again, a client says, "I'm not getting the love I want Martha to give me, and she makes me feel like a worm." I ask, "Do you only want Martha's love, or aren't you telling yourself you need it?" "Mmm. Yes, I guess I am believing that I absolutely need it." "And does Martha's lack of loving you make you feel like a worn?" "Uh, no. I guess I'm putting the two together and making myself feel like a worm." "And how could you not win Martha's love and still not label yourself as a worm?" "I guess I could tell myself that because I want Martha's love and don't have it, my relationship with her is somewhat wormy. But that doesn't give me, a total person, the label of a worm." "Right! So hereafter try to watch your language that includes your demanding instead of wanting and that keeps you giving inaccurate labels of you, rather than descriptions of what you and others do."
So Rational-Emotive Therapy often shows people how to correct their language and their thinking, and to stop sneaking in overgeneralizing, labeling, demandingness, and other unscientific verbalizations into their thinking and behaving . It employs a specific technique called semantic precision or accurate language to do this and in this respect is one of the very few therapies that puts Korzybski's theory of language use into therapeutic practice.

What I love about them: Alde & mu's baby boy <3 He is just so adorable in the classic series, and he was literally the driving force that made me check out Omega. What I hate about them: I wouldn't call it hate BUT. I don't like his Japanese VA for the classic series. Brazilian dub's VA >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Original voice. Favorite Moment/Quote: Kiki's episode where he is reminiscing about Mu and basically dissassociates at the mere mention of his late master ;;;;;;;;;; I felt that. What I would like to see more focus on: Can we get a new Omega season? Can we get some more of Aries Kiki serving under the new Pope's leadership? Is that too much to ask for? Or yknow... Straight up make all of those Noriyo Sasa's Aldemu family drawings become a reality....... I just want Alde & mu raising this kid together... ALSO KIKI FINDING RAKI... What I would like to see less focus on: I want more of Kiki doing his things without serving as even more of a stool for the protags. Be it Seiya or anyone else tbh. Favorite pairing with: Habiki <3 A gem that ppl sleep on bc they didn't watch Omega, which is a shame bc I loved the idea of these two even before watching it! Favorite friendship: Kiki with the classic bronzes & Saori when he is a kid. And down the line, Kiki with the remaining golds, when he is all grown up <3 NOTP: Anything on the lines of Mu/Kiki or Shion/Kiki or even Raki/Kiki. I feel way too uncomfortable with any idea that suggests a romantic interest, like that. I'm certain these things exist out there, so I must say I'm avoiding those things like the plague. Favorite headcanon: Kiki lacks the finnesse and grace of the last two Aries saints, but he more than makes up for it by his capability of adapting to the overall shift in the kind of cloths he had to start fixing/handling. I also like to think of him doing welding and smithing work with far more modern tools. The changes he brings to the art of repairing cloths, would likely drive other muvians mad.
All Might telling Midoriya Abt AFO
So, like, correct me if im wrong- but All Might thought that he had killed AFO in their first fight, way before he met Midoriya Izuku. So, with the threat defeated he didn't need to tell this kid about the trauma he and a bunch of other people went through? I see a bunch of All Might Bashing that doesn't take that into account, but Everyone who knew about it thought afo was dead, soooo
Yeah- sure, hes not the best teacher, but its not for lack of trying. He didn't not tell Midoriya something just so that he would break his limbs.
But yee. Rare thought, all might shouldn't be bashed for not telling Izuku about AFO initially. tell a kid that he decided to give a quirk to for *pure* intentions about this centuries old dude who was already "dead" and who shouldn't affect him. sure.

Cur, think abt what would've happened if he knew about all nine of them initially, he would've scared himself to death or smth.
Look, all I'm saying is that All Might is human, and he made the choice he thought was best. Aka not spilling the trauma abt watching his sensei die or how 7 other people died for the same cause, like unnecessary stress who. And i repeat, he thought Izuku wouldn't be in danger, because he thought All For One was dead.
