I loved Emma but hated Chase. Not sure why. Emma has a certain awkward charm about her. She's cute when she's not sucking face with Chase. Honestly I wish td fans saw there was more to her than just the bitter ex/on-and-off-again girlfriend. But I understand why ppl think that. Poor Emma, Chase and Emma obviously have an incredibly toxic and abusive relationship and the writers did her so dirty. Honestly it reminded me of my own abusive relationship and it struck me as kind of odd how she so quickly became a lovesick puppy. People DO go back to abusive ex's but it's never that simple. It's a very sad and complex thing that lowkey I don't think Fresh handled well.

emma is just soso happy this is happening- post hypothetical season 2 chase breakup and retroactively becoming smitten for MK and now having a date with them soon, don't blame her. she was meticulously figuring out an outfit like the moment their date was confirmed. mk is also happy but like this is their first time going on a real REAL date with anyone and they're acting all cool and aloof about it. they like. definitely begged julia for fashion advice (hc they live close by to each other so they have an acquaintanceship of convenience) and julia's laughing her ass off. mk starts the sentence going "i need help" and julia's like "oh took you long enough to realize" (in which mk tried slapping her but like they were to short to reach her face)
i wanted to draw this too and i don't have time but they go out for like the WHOLE DAY into the city. eat italian, banter a bit. mk's definitely a bit stiffer than they regularly are but emma's very patient and nice about it and even ease them up when they got to play bowling (she won mostly, she likes being competitive) but let them won once
