K - the moment he hears your voice calling from the bathroom, he doesn't think it's for a towel. thinks it's for him to join you but instead you ask him for a towel. his eyes catch yours in the mirror, noticing the way the water droplets fall down your bare shoulders. he does get the towel for you, but only after he's taken off his clothes and joined you in the shower!! teases you that you planned this and loves how soaked you are :( safe to say, your water bill that month was higher than usual...

Fuma - wonders why and how you even forgot a towel, to begin with, but bring your towel regardless. tries not to think about how he could join you in the shower and then he wouldn't have to shower later in the day. sighs in defeat after he sees you come out of the shower and admire yourself in the mirror (he’s just in love fr)!! pulls you to the bed and makes sure you know just how much he loves you :( be ready for multiple rounds of him rewarding you for being so good to him!

Nicholas - a tease!! gives you the towel and after you've turned off the water, he's all over you! thinks it's so hot how the towel is loosely draped over your dripping figure, and knows you'll be dripping more before the night is over :( tells you first how he'll help you dry off, and he does! he even blow-dried your hair after telling you numerous times how stunning you are, but let's just say you're in for a long night...

Ej - he would be instantly blushing. he's literally mesmerized with you. thinks about how good you smell due to your body wash and would offer to dry your hair off for you. holds the towel for you as you come out of the shower, but by no means is he able to take his eyes off of your figure. how can he?? decides to stay between your legs the entire night- making you scream his name all night

Yuma - a TEASE!! he brings the towel but god, he’s so sarcastic about it. “oh, you need this?” and you just got out of the shower so it’s cold, but best believe yuma has ways to warm you up!! smirks when you get the towel to cover yourself saying, “the towel will only last a few minutes, love. plus i can make you feel hot” you’re blushing and internally dying!!

Jo - he's halfway between going insane and being incredibly shy :(( puts the towel next to you but turns away from you, giving you some privacy! as soon as you're out of the bathroom, he's kissing you all over!! giggles when you say that you have to get dressed :( decides then and there that you will be pampered all night! like ej, stays between your legs the entire night...reveling in how delicious you are!

“Babe! Can you come here for a second?” when you call out for him by his name all of sudden in the bathroom, and he’s there in an instant, ready to serve you in any way you require. He almost comes rushing to you, asking, “Yes, Love? Is anything wrong?” “Ah, I got this spray that says unscented but there's definitely a smell I swear!” As he leans in to get a whiff of the scent, your lips touch his all unannounced, and you couldn't help but let out a giggle, swiftly pulling back. He’s caught off guard initially, but melting right into the unexpected kiss. However he attempts to play it cool, trying to hide his surprise with a smirk as he leans down to capture your lips again, this time with a deeper kiss, pulling you closer by your waist, effectively silencing you. “It isn't unscented, by the way. They lied to you, sweetie,” his breath warm against your ear, and whispers softly, your heart flutters in response, a rush of warmth spreading through your body, leaving you feeling both flustered and delighted.

He immediately responds, turning to face you, and upon your approach to the kitchen counter where he stands, you start to explain, “Babe, this spray is supposed to be unscented, but I'm sure it has a scent. Can you also check if it does or not?” Curious and perplexed, he leans down to inhale the fragrance, and just then, you lean in and brush your lips against his with a cheeky smile, like a secret victory. Confused at first, he soon would melt in the unexpected gesture, realizing your playfulness. He grins from ear to ear, unable to hide his affection, and draw you closer into his embrace. Ruffling your hair, he would murmur, “You don't have to make excuses to kiss me, honey. You know that, right?” Before you can respond, he'd capture your lips in a warm and tender kiss, enveloping you in his love.

You make your way to the living room, frustration etched on your face, and call out to him with a bit of attitude, “BABE!!!” Startled, he quickly held his hand up in surrender, “Who, what, when- I didn't do anything, trust.” You wave him off, saying, “Oh, don't worry, it's not about that. Can you come here? This spray I bought said it's unscented, but I'm sure it has a scent!” As he leans down to smell the fragrance, you slyly look up at him and press your lips against his, hoping to catch him off guard. However, to your surprise, he not only catches on to your little trick but also pulls you closer, deepening the kiss. When he finally breaks the kiss, he grins at you with a smirk and kisses your cheeks, saying, “You really thought I wouldn't know what you're up to, didn't you, darling?” Feeling both embarrassed and flustered in his arms, you smack his chest, “It’s not my fault that you're chronically online! You were supposed to act surprised at the least!” Laughing, he tugs you close, “Ah… don't get mad, baby, give me another chance I'll pretend to be surprised like you want.”

"Honey, can you check if this spray has a scent or not?" you ask, holding the spray in hand. He bends down to take a sniff, anticipating the fragrance, when unexpectedly you lean in and plant a kiss on his lips. He freezes in place. Man is shocked, flustered, excited and confused. His eyes dart around the room before he clears his throat and softly mutters, "What was that...?” This unexpected attack has left him speechless, and your laughter rings through the air, “Did you like that, babe?” He takes a moment to process your question, his gaze wandering everywhere before he responds, “Can you do that again? I didn't quite catch it…” You laugh, setting the spray to diffuse the fragrance, and he leans in again, pretending to sniff the scent, but instead, he captures your lips in a gentle kiss. As he pulls away, he smiles, answering your previous question, “Yes, love, I did like it.”

The tables have turned, and you find yourself flustered this time, but he takes advantage of this moment, pulling you closer and whispering, “I hope you won’t be using that spray as an excuse everytime you want to kiss me…”

𝐇𝐄𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐔𝐍𝐆 doesn't think twice when he sees you on the bleachers at his basketball game, because he's gotten so used to seeing you there, cheering him on whenever he scores and waving enthusiastically when he looks your way... only to find himself doing a double take when he notices you talking to the members of the opposition's team. stands there for a while with a tilted head as he wonders why it is you're giggling and twirling your hair, batting your eyelashes at whatever it was the guy was saying. and he really shouldn't have been so annoyed, seeing as you're free to talk to whoever you like... but for some reason, he finds himself purposely missing a shot and causing the ball to roll over to where you and your friends are sitting, just so he has an excuse to walk over there after your pick up the ball, before kissing you on the cheek as he takes ball back. "thanks, baby," he says, before walking away again.... but of course, not without one last cocky smirk to the other guy when he sees your flustered expression, and a promise to ask you out properly after he wins this game.

𝐉𝐀𝐘, who has gotten used to seeing snacks on his desk along with little notes whenever he wakes up from his nap, feels like he's been thrown into an alternate universe when he looks up one day to find that his desk his completely empty. looks around, and asks his deskmate if you came by today, only for them to shake their head and say that they haven't seen you all day. doesn't think too much about it at first, thinking that you may be busy... only to notice that it continues a few days straight. decides to walk to your class one day, completely forgoing his usual nap, just to see if you're okay, because as much as he wouldn't admit it, anyone could tell he was worried about you. so imagine his surprise when he walks up behind you while you're talking to your friends, just to learn you've been doing it on purpose to make him miss you. crosses his arms and leans down to your ear with a smirk, causing your heart to fly out of your chest when you realise he was there all along. "okay, you win." because he really did miss you... maybe even more than you had planned.

𝐉𝐀𝐊𝐄 probably takes a while to figure out that you're avoiding him, but only because he genuinely believes you when you say you're busy when he asks why you can't make it to his soccer game. he knows that you have a life outside of school, so he can't feel upset... but everyone (his teammates, his friends, his coach, his neighbour, his dog...) notices that he is walking around the field like a depressed puppy whose owner doesn't want to play with him, and it's all because you're not in your usual seat, cheering him on while wearing his number like you usually do. and it makes him realise just how much you were becoming his lucky charm, just as you had boldly proclaimed you would be. and so that's how he finds himself waiting for you after you're finished your classes for the day, before wrapping his arms around you in a hug, not caring about the wolf whistles and the cheers coming from all the students and teachers who stood watching around you, or the way you stuttered his name in protest because of how he was acting in public... all he could think about was how he was a fool for not making you his to begin with.

𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐍 can't remember when you haven't been next to him. from the first day of school, you were the one beside him, helping him in class whenever he had to catch up on work that he missed because of his figure skating career, saving him a seat on the bus because you knew he would always end up being five minutes late out of class. so when he comes back from a week off from school, he is visibly taken aback when you walk in and take a seat at the front of the classroom, next to some other guy who he didn't even know existed until now. doesn't buy it for a second when his new seatmate explains that you had to switch because you had trouble seeing, and burns holes into the back of your head for the entire lesson, intensifying his glare when you and your new seatmate are a tad too close for comfort, heads bumping against each other as you whisper about the answers to the questions, like you used to do with sunghoon. can't seem to catch you alone for the rest of the day, so he waits for the end of the day, when you guys catch the bus together, and makes sure that he gets there before you do... so that when you try and sit next to someone else, he pulls you down in the seat he saved next to him, before leaning his head on your shoulder, his hand wrapped around your smaller one. "stay here, please..." because you’re the only one he wants beside him, and he wants to be the only one next to you.

𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐎𝐎 knows immediately that something isn't right when you don't ask for his help with your club projects. being in the photography club, you love to remind him how he is your favourite model, and you make it painfully obvious whenever you beg him to let you take his pictures. imagine his surprise and offense when you no longer seek him out first, but some other guy in a different class, who you keep positing pictures of on the school newsletter, where you used to post his pictures instead. he instantly makes a plan to win you back and become your favourite once again, even going as far as to rock up to school the next day with blonde hair that makes everyone stop and stare... except you, the person who is usually the first to jump on the train of people to praise him. he realises at that moment that this goes beyond just his pride; he genuinely just wants to be able to make you smile like before. so imagine your surprise when you open the newsletter for the next week, to find a candid photo of you looking at your camera, hair blowing in the wind and a smile on your face, with the caption "prettiest girl in our grade" followed by, "taken by kim sunoo".

𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐖𝐎𝐍 does not beat around the bush. so the first time you walk by him in the hallway without so much as uttering a "hi," he immediately knows he needs to confront you about it, because not a single day has passed in the time that you've known each other where you haven't jumped on him (figuratively, of course) whenever the chance arises so you can chat his ear off about something or other. and he doesn't like the feeling he gets seeing you give him the cold shoulder for reasons he has no idea about. so the next time you pass him by without saying anything, he's grabbing your wrist and tugging you down the hallway, ignoring the squeals from your friends as he pulls you into the janitor's closet. "why are you avoiding me?" he demands, frowning. but then the two of you are rendered blushing incoherent messes when you try to escape the room... only to trip on your own two feet and fall into his arms, your lips bumping against each other in the process. (but even though it's an accident, jungwon thinks that he really likes this feeling alot.)

𝐍𝐈-𝐊𝐈 is an absolute menace, and you are probably one of the only people in the world other than his mother that can put up with him. it really surprises people to see you follow him around, cooking him bentos and fixing his tie for him because he always fails at doing it himself, only to find out that you're not his girlfriend. ni-ki himself probably doesn't even realise how much you've been taking care of him until you stop showing your face around his classroom at lunch, and no longer nag him about his uniform or his hair being messy. instead, he's left to watch as you turn around whenever you see him, purposely changing paths so you don't bump into each other. no one is surprised when he jumps over a fence just so he can catch up to you after you try to run away after making eye contact with him for the hundredth time. you end up blurting your feelings for him before he can ask, and while you brace yourself for rejection, he's already kissing you like he hasn't seen you for months... and wondering why he never did it sooner.

★ one. jaehyun definitely is taken aback when the juice he'd placed lovingly on your study desk appears in the hands of your friend instead of yours. to make matters even worse, you're sipping through the straw of a strawberry flavoured milk his arch nemesis always carries around! if only he'd known how the milk was a gift to your friend who's allergic to strawberries. being the kind soul you are, you offer to switch drinks.

★ four. the spontaneous bus ride you'd taken to a random little village to spend the night at with your group of friends has neared its end, unlike myung jaehyun's very real and awfully large feelings for you. the selfie he'd taken of himself with your head leaning on his shoulder peeking out from the bottom corner is now his phone's background picture, not that anybody would notice it but him once he unlocks his phone. he wishes to keep you his little secret until time ceases to move forward.

★ five. what if i suddenly die? jaehyun is concerned, clearly about himself with the thought flashing in his mind like a warning signal after receiving a good night message from you. your contact sitting there on his lockscreen as light— a fitting description for the way you came into his life.

maki - he’s both laughing and concerned for you! he wanted to take you roller skating in the summer but seeing your balance issues…he immediately decided he wouldn’t :(( i mean, your safety is important!! on the ground laughing and helps you up, offers to hold your waist behind you as you try to skate again 🫶🏼 don’t worry, once you both are home, he puts on a show and makes you your favorite dessert!

fuma - he can do anything and everything atp so i think he would start teaching you how to balance yourself and how to gain momentum to start moving on the ice!! lowkey explains it in very simple terms but gets the point across 🫶🏼 puts his entire arm around your torso and you guys skate together in sync - albeit a little slow :(( kisses your cheeks when you make one circle around the rink and repeatedly says he loves you (he’s so sweet fr idc he’s a standard)

yuma - this is based on nothing but i think he’d be the type to teach you as well!! he might not know a lot about skating but he knows a lot about balance and control so he helps you stand up! takes it in steps and explains it similar to a dance choreography- kisses your forehead after every step and spins you in happiness 🤭 dips you and gives you an even better kiss :(( (stop i love him sm this is making me blush)

harua - i feel like he’s secretly good at surprising things…but he would immediately be like “okay so you place your feet like so”!! probably incredibly patient with you too :(( if you end up sad, he’ll probably be sad with you. teaches you to move around and i see him as the type to be lowkey romantic so he would spin you around! (this is too cute i’m giggling thinking abt this🤭)

**i do want to point out that all of them would probably check for any signs of you being hurt by the ice or if you’re in any immediate pain, hence why i didn’t add that into every member!!

accidentally tickling you + the need to keep doing it.

you know that clip of nico just touching the exposed skin through fuma’s ripped jeans? and fuma getting ticklish because of it and stopping nicholas’s hands, but nico’s hand keeps gravitating back to it? i feel like nico would do this with you. initially, it’s usually just him gently grazing the skin on your arm or neck or knees with his nails or fingertips. the moment you squirm away, something in nico’s brain tells him that he needs to keep touching that same spot unless you really tell him to stop (you usually don’t). he also squeezes your leg or thigh just to make you jump. and then commences the game of you trying to catch nico’s hands before they can touch you again but still playing along because of course you will. you always have.

playful attacks when you’re teasing him.

there’s a video of nico just like, fake tickle attacking gaku during one of the &audition episodes that i just saw recently and my first thought was just nicholas going for your waist whenever you tease him for something. you tease him a lot whenever you get the chance because he, of course, does the exact same to you. so it’s no surprise to you anymore when you just kind of quickly scoot away after teasing him because you know what’s coming, and sure enough, nico’s hands just shoot quickly towards your waist after you like, talk about an embarrassing moment he had.

it used to just be something he had to decide to do (he knew whatever you were saying was a joke so that was his choice to retaliate) but at some point it just became second nature for him to start wiggling his fingers towards your sides. is it because he’s just gotten used to it? or is it because his hands know his need to hear your laugh? you may never know. nico also finds joy when he just brings his hands relatively near you and your giggles just fall out of your laugh without him even touching you.

feeding you.

with nico looking as if he would be a tsundere, the way he holds out food to the members without looking is so characteristic of that. there’s a couple of clips of him feeding harua by just holding out ice cream or tanghulu to his mouth without even looking. something about that melts my heart because it’s like he wants people not to make a big deal but he’s just too caring for me to ignore.

nico does the same thing to you. just holding his drink up to your lips if he knows you like his drink better than your own. holding up food combinations he wants you to try (like when he fed harua the seaweed) and patiently waiting for your opinion. if you can’t decide which dish you want to order, he would order both and let you pick which one you would like better. and of course, cooking you sausage wherever and whenever you want.

poking your cheek + tapping your chin.

i’ve seen nico do this a lot to euijoo and taki (especially in the scent of you behind). it seems to be his way of teasing but with affection, because he had done it after reviewing their scenes in the mv. i think it’s his way of saying you did well, i’m proud of you, and i think you’re absolutely adorable, but i’m gonna do this little cat scratch thing because i’m too shy to actually tell you (so lino-coded i love this).

nico will just randomly tap underneath your chin or poke your cheek, usually when it comes to times when you’re being complimented or getting flustered. he thinks you’re adorable with the way you suddenly can’t make eye contact and can only let out a stuttering ‘thank you’ and so he just has the sudden urge to make it worse by doing the whole underside of the chin gentle tap with his fingertip or knuckle.

making random sounds to get your attention.

i’m sure we mostly all know about nico’s “ooh sexy joo” clip, and if you don’t, you’ll probably find out soon. but something tells me that the way he hypes up euijoo and the sounds he makes along with it translates to you as well. a lot of times, when he’s bored and you’re not paying attention to him he just starts making those ‘oooooo’ sounds that he was making during their photoshoot behind. it’s kind of difficult to ignore the fake ghost sounds your best friend is making but it’s come to the point that if he isn’t making these sounds when he wants your attention, then something’s wrong and he’s probably jealous of someone grabbing your attention instead of him.

it’s not rare for you to be trying to finish an assignment at your desk with nico just sprawled out on your bed, limbs hanging off the sides of your mattress. when he senses you’re almost done, nico starts to make these sounds or just starts to hum your favorite song unconsciously, reaching over to you to play with your free arm or your hair, hoping that it’ll help speed up your progress on your work. spoiler alert: it doesn’t, but you don’t have the heart to tell him otherwise.

his tired clinginess in the morning.

just blank nico in the morning. tired baby will just go up to wherever you are, cooking, getting ready, brushing your teeth, whatever. he would just go up to you and cling close as he’s waking up, not with arms around you or anything but just standing with his chest pressed to the back of one of your shoulders as he watches what you’re doing, eyes unfocused and head slightly dipped towards you - he might not be a morning person but being around you makes it better.

sometimes you get surprised despite getting used to this habit because one moment, you’re in the kitchen pouring milk into your cereal. when your turn back from the fridge after putting the carton away, nico’s just standing silently behind you, not reacting to the little laugh you let out at your surprise like he usually would (he loves your laugh). instead, you simply take a spoon and drop it into your bowl as nicholas just brings his body close to yours and lightly presses his chest against your back. he watches you eat over your shoulder, simply opening his mouth when you bring up the spoon to it, and nuzzles his head into your neck as he chews, basking in the little pats you give to the side of his head and face.

as intimidating as our lovely boy can look, nico is just a shy baby when it comes to being teased or excessively complimented. you love how he gets when this happens and so sometimes you purposely praise him over and over again just to get him flustered. at these times, nicholas just hides his face from you so that you can only see his eyes (like in the ‘our diary - acrobatic’ video when k said it was his turn to do the last challenge and he hid his face behind the mats). the giggle that leaves your mouth only causes his heart to stir even more, and he tries his best not to giggle back as much as he feels like he needs to. he has a dark image to protect lol.

if someone else makes him shy and you’re near him, he goes immediately to take your arm and hide his face behind it with the cute high pitched nico laugh we love. more often, nico just steps behind you and plants half his face on your shoulder, again only leaving his eyes to be shown. euijoo had once said that nicholas one of the most important people in his life so casually, and the next moment, nicholas had already left your side and had his face hidden behind your shoulder. so cute.

“HERE’S US IN BALI!” heeseung showed the photo to his group mate, who seemingly had no interest in you or your summer trip to Bali, or that you almost lost your swim suit or what hilarious thing that happened with some waiter.. or was it the air stewardess?

Either way, Yujin smiled tiredly and sighed. “Nice.” She let out, continuing to write while the boy continued to babble. “And it cost us every dollar we had, but it was so worth it! She even was going to buy me a watch! Of course I refused to.. but listen, she actually offered to get me one! Isn’t she such a generous girlfriend.”

Yujin, with her chin on her palm, gave a fake smile and kept her eyes big, “Yeah! Crazy!” She humoured the boy. All the poor girl wanted to do was complete her partner-project, but it seemed like her partner was more focused on his own personal partner..

Just in luck, you left him a text, saying you were around the cafe they were at. His eyes instantly lit up and Yujin scooted to view the dilemma. She almost fought a chuckle at his reaction.

The boy was giddy. Giggling and tapping his feet to the beat of imaginary music as he texted you back.

Smiling at his cute response, you type out a quick ‘I love you too’ and put your phone back in your bag, using your hand to shade yourself from the sun.

Nearing the outdoor bench, you waved and smiled at Heeseung as he gave you one back as well. At your arrival, Yujin let out a sigh of relief and started packing her stuff. “Hi, baby!” He smiled wider and held your hand as you stood next to him.

“Hey, hee!” You giggled. “Hi, Yujin!”

“Hi!” She gave an exaggerated smile. “Please take control of your person.” Yujin whispered to you with gritted teeth, grabbing her iced coffee and leaving immediately, leaving you to snicker but redden up. It wasn’t the first time someone had mentioned something similar about heeseung’s clingy affection.

He greeted you with a kiss on your cheek as you sat down, “I missed you so much, you have no idea.” You rolled your eyes and giggled, looking down at his hands wrapped around your arm.

“Me too, hee. C’mon.” You smiled and grabbed his hand, packing his stuff and leaving the bench.

HIS FRIENDS DIDN’T HAVE IT EASY EITHER, dealing with his needy complaints ever since Heeseung started dating you.

“I miss her.. you know yesterday she made me waffles for breakfast? She even made me dinner the same night! Oh god, why don’t you ever make me dinner.” Heeseung gave Beomgyu the stink-eye.

Beomgyu furrowed his eyebrows, “Hey. I make us dinner all the time!”

Heeseung rolled his eyes and threw his head back with a groan. “I don’t want to eat ‘Betty’s healthy late night easy-to-make recipes for the whole family’ every night. Her chicken is raw!”

Beomgyu gasped at his dorm mate, “You ungrateful shit, Betty is the best! You just don’t like gourmet meals or precious old ladies!” His words made heeseung roll his eyes again.

“It’s not Betty that I don’t like. And I’d love a gourmet meal, it’s your brain that gets every idea from the fake Facebook mom groups you join that I hate!” Heeseung spat out more angrily as Beomgyu gasped ever heavier, almost accidentally choking.

“You’re just bitter that you failed Highschool home economics! It’s not my fault you burnt every thing we made!” Heeseung glared at the long-haired boy. “You dipshi-”

He stopped almost choking Beomgyu when he heard the door open, seeing your confused figure outside.

He smiled immediately and practically floated to you. “Hi baby.” He grinned and wrapped his arms around your neck, pressing a kiss on your head, then ten more on your face. His gesture made you giggle as you looked away from him.

Beomgyu made a disgusted face but smiled when you waved at him. “Don’t mind him, he’s just bitter.” Heeseung smiled affectionately at you, but turned to scowl at his roommate.

The latter gasped at his words. “Yeah, and your boyfriend is an ungrateful brat!” Beomgyu yelled out as Heeseung brought you into his room, once again turning to scowl at the boy.

BUT AT TIMES, YOU COULDN’T BE THERE. “What is it?” You smile at your boyfriend, who had came over to your dorm a few minutes ago to break whatever ‘exciting, mind-blowing, life-changing’ news he had.

He jumped on the couch and held your hand with a giddy smile on his face. “Are you sure? It’s really big news!”

Rolling your eyes, you sigh with a smile. “Yes! C’mon!”

Heeseung pursed his lips before speaking again. “Ok, ok. So you know how I’ve been like.. dreaming of that super exclusive three-year internship, study programme thing right?”

You nod, remembering the nights of sleep he’d miss to upgrade his resume and get the chance to go. “Well.. I made it! I’m going!” You jumped up at his words, gasping and hugging him immediately. “Oh my god, that’s great! You’ve worked so hard, I’m so proud of you!”

“I know, I can’t believe it.” He pulled away to look at your eyes. “Thank you.. for supporting me all the time. I..” his smile turned a bit more sad, you could see it in his eyes. “I want to spend all the time I have left here with you..”

Confused rested in your expression. Your eyebrows furrowed, you tried to smile still. “What? The time you have left? What- what are you saying, hee?”

He sighed again, but quiet enough to not worry you. “I’m.. the programme is abroad. It’s in the states..” Your eyebrows raised and you took a deep breath in. “Wow.. that’s.. uh- far.” You looked down but smiled again when you saw his worried expression.

“But it’s good! You know.. the US has a ton of.. amazing opportunities.” You smiled, masking your sadness — you still were happy for him, no matter how hard it would be.

He frowned at your pitiful expression. “Baby.. I don’t want anything to happen to our relationship, ok? I know long distance is hard but we’ve been through so much together already! 3 years apart can’t do much harm, can it?” You look up at him, and his beautiful, hopeful doe eyes make you smile and nod. “Of course not.”

A wave of relief washes over him as he hugs you tight, not wanting to let go — as if you’d vanish if he did.

THE DAYS WITH HIM were everything you’d ever dreamed of and more. He took you to amusement parks, fancy dinners, bought you flowers and pretty rings — you felt like you had just won the prince you had always dreamt of as a little girl.

but it every fairytale, there is some sort of heartbreak, and this was that moment.

“I’m going to miss you so much..” you muttered into his shoulder, raising your head to avoid your tears coming out. Even though you wore waterproof mascara just for this occasion. He pulled away, putting the flowers he had received from his mom on top of his suit case and pulled you in for another tighter hug.

He left no words, as he embraced you as close as he could, lifting your feet off the airport floors for a second before putting you down. He couldn’t say anything to you, he was sure he’d choke up.

“Why are you crying?” You said, wiping a running tear off his cheek and chuckling, even though you felt your tears running down as well. He laughed too, at your words and hold your face in his hands. “I’ll miss you so much too.. you can’t even imagine.”

You smile in content, resting your foreheads against each other. “We’ll be alright. I’ll be there!” You put your hand against his chest, right on his heart, “Here. I’ll always be here.” He looked down at your hand and held it with his own.

Looking back at you, he pressed a kiss on your forehead. “I know you will.” He smiled and tilted his head to kiss your lips softly. When you pulled your lips away, his parents came rushing from the bathroom. “Did we miss anything?” They frantically said.

You both chuckle and shake your head. “No, I was just about to go.” He pulls away from you to hug and wish goodbye to his teary-eyed mother and proud dad. “I love you guys.”

“I love you. So much. Remember that alright?” He smiled teasingly, making you roll your glistening eyes. “Mhm, mhm, I love you too.” Pecking his lips one more time, he smiles and smoothes out your hair before going. “Bye!”

After waving, Mrs. Lee blows her nose quickly as heeseung’s father leads her down. You give one last wave to heeseung and motion a call sign with your hand, signalling him to call you on the plane. He giggles and waves back, sending a flying kiss and nodding. “Y/n, are you coming?”

You turn to heeseung’s father and immediately walk towards them. “Mhm. Let’s go.”

And when you reached home, you were pleased to find a text from him attached with a selfie of him and his hand on his chest while seated on the plane.

have you ever seen a smile as pretty as jeno’s? the answer is no, no you have not. there’s something about his smile that makes your head spin, and just about everybody knows it. whenever you accompany him on outings with his friends, he always worries about how quiet you are—in reality, you’re just staring at him laugh and beam at their antics. however, when he smiles at you specifically, it gets even worse than it did before. when he asks about your day, he smiles at every little exaggeration or hyperbole about whatever happened (as long as you didn’t have a bad day, of course). jeno just thinks you’re adorable, and he really can’t help how much he smiles because of you, but you seriously wish he could. most of all, every joke that spills from your mouth earns a full laugh from him, and with that comes his mind-bending smiles—that’s how jeno gives you butterflies.

you’re sure of it–haechan treats you softer than everyone else he knows. usually, you don’t go out with him and his friends (they can be a bit much), but when you do, it becomes painfully obvious that haechan is in love with you. you can’t help but feel a bit flustered every time he makes sure you’re part of the conversation, or when he picks up on how much seem to want to go home. most of all, your stomach absolutely erupts with butterflies when he takes your side on just about everything. your relationship with him is filled with tons of bickering and play-arguing when you’re alone, but, when you’re with anybody else, you can always be sure that he will back you up on just about everything, even if he’s disagreed with you before—that’s how haechan gives you butterflies.

you might be considered jaemin’s personal stuffed animal at this point. no matter where you are or what you’re doing, he has to have a hand on you at all times. when you’re out in public, it’s little displays of affection—holding hands, linked arms, and, on rare occasions, an arm around your waist. when you’re with close friends, it’s almost always an arm hung over your shoulder or his legs splayed over your lap, trapping you in your seat. and, when you’re alone, he’s practically attached to you. on the couch? he practically has you in his lap, arms locked around your waist and his head on your shoulder. during shared naps or general lounging on a bed, he’s trapped you in a koala hug, or is straight up sleeping on top of you. most of all, he never crosses your boundaries, and always knows when to back off–that’s how jaemin gives you butterflies.

i think we can all agree that jay’s little gummy smile towards the members (especially jungwon) is the most precious thing ever, so i without a doubt believe that he would do the same for you. he would be concentrated on something when you walk in, and just a simple sniffle or sigh alone could notify him of your presence. it’s the way he just knows it’s you, and the way he doesn’t hesitate to make a spot next to his seat, or the way he doesn’t hesitate to get up and walk over to you. sometimes he greets you with a hug and sometimes he doesn’t, but anything he had been talking about before you walked in is out of his head because you’re in the same room as him. it’s the way you end up in your own little world and the way you seem like you don’t even realize the presence of others when you both dive headfirst into a conversation.

the way he stops you to fix your top for you.

jay’s the type of dude to be protective and caring of the people he cares about by doing the little things for them. knowing is love for fashion, he will not hesitate to straighten your outfit or give you advice when you ask him for it. whenever you and him are planning to go to the same event, jay always visits your home to help you pick out what to wear, and helps you tuck in your shirt a certain way or help you cuff your jeans. when you get to the event, the two of you show up dressed to the nines (sometimes unknowingly color-coordinated) and everyone knows not to mess with either of you. if you part ways, you always end up back together or passing by each other, to which jay sees as an opportunity to check up on you, tuck a strand of hair behind your ear, make sure you’re warm enough, or most importantly, to straighten out the hem of your shirt or hoodie as he catches up with you.

“hey, doing okay?” jay asks as you pass by him, stopping when he sneaks his arm around your own.

you smile, lighting tapping your forehead on his shoulder. “yep, i’m doing good. everything okay with you?”

“hold on,” jay says, holding you out at arm's length to straighten out your top. his hands naturally fall to your hips when he takes a last glance over you with a smile, and then pulls you into a short hug. “okay, carry on.”

the way he holds your hair out of the way.

jay’s known you long enough to have taken care of you when you’ve had a fever or food poisoning or stomach-flu, and everyone knows that he’d drop everything to help you to the bathroom if you were ever feeling nauseous. he would gently crouch down next to you in a squat, combing away your locks from your face and gently smoothing his hand up and down your back.

but jay’s also known you long enough to know that you always forget your hair tie when you’re going out somewhere with him. so, in the cases that he didn’t bring an extra hair tie he knew you’d need, he’d hold your hair back as you slurped on your ramen, picked something out in a counter display case of an antique store, or if you were ever feeling hot. jay doesn’t care if he has to eat his own ramen, if he wanted to look at the old video game consoles on the other side of the room, or if he’s sweating like a pig himself, and will give anything up so that you weren’t dealing with anything blocking your view.

the way he opens items for you.

jay being that wannabe tsundere that he wants to be, will act annoyed if you’re struggling to open something (exhibit a: niki vs. his boba cup). he might give a sigh and gesture to you to give him the item, and act as if he thinks you should’ve been able to do it yourself. sometimes you pretend you can’t because you know how much he loves when he can help you out with small things like this. jay might act like he’s tired of it, but the fond smile on his lips as he watches you drink the boba he had just poked a straw through, or excitedly dig in to the takeout you had ordered, tells everyone that he is anything but annoyed and tired. bonus points if he ruffles your hair after too.

the way he takes care of you when you’re tired.

it had been one of those days where all you wanted to do was go home and sleep for the next six years but you had promised jay you would come over that night to have a marathon of your most recent show. however, when jay comes back from the kitchen with waters for both of you and a bowl of fruit, and sees you dozing off on top of his bed covers, he decides that the newest episode of bad batch can wait, pops the fruit bowl back into the fridge, and gently shakes you awake.

“hey, you’re tired, let’s get some sleep.”

“but what about-”

“bad batch can wait, now listen to me and lie down, bud. i’m just gonna get changed.”

when jay comes back, you’d already sleepily gotten ready for bed, your pajamas thrown on and your teeth brushed. you’re already passed out under his covers, your watch still on your wrist and your phone carelessly thrown on top of the blanket next to your torso. jay only sighs, but a small grin forms on his face as he unlatches the band of your watch, gently smoothing his thumb over the skin that had been constrained by it all day. jay is definitely going to pretend that you had stolen is charger tomorrow morning, but he unplugs his own phone to plug in yours before he slips in next to you and settles down under his covers.

the way you share a blanket when sitting next to each other.

you aren’t even cuddling, but jay’s fingers gently drum against the sensitive skin of your wrist. the two of you are simply sat with a blanket shared over your laps, shoulder to shoulder, thigh to thigh on the couch or next to each other at the kitchen table. you share a pair of wired headphones that require you to stay close. it’s simple and not flashy, and there’s barely any skinship involved whatsoever. but to the people that see you when they walk into whatever room you’re in, you and jay look like two peas in a pod and that your presence is meant for each other. it might be the way the two of you look up at the same time when someone walks in, simultaneously taking out your side of the earpiece to greet them. or the way jay wordlessly drapes the blanket back over your lap after you had gotten up to get or do something. it’s casual and friendly, and that’s what the two of you try to convince the people that ask if you’re dating even though the two of your hearts beat rapidly each time you get asked the question.

he rolls his eyes at the mention of the challenge, he thinks it’s stupid and even tells the members that he’s not participating in it. until you bring it up to him, saying that you actually want to see how long he can last and at first he refuses but then he thinks of the possibility of you becoming desperate and begging for him to fuck you into the mattress– “okay, fine. i’ll play along,” he agrees after your restless asking. he actually finds this situation quite hilarious; you’re even trying to tempt him, dressing in his favorite outfits that he loves on you that compliments your body just right, bending down to let him get a good view of his favorite colored panties, but despite all that– he doesn’t budge.

you’re practically pawing at his chest by november 29th, whispering dirty nothings but he’s like an unstoppable force. you whine that it’s “not fair!!” when he still does not give in, even trying the puppy eyes and the pout but jay pays you no mind. that is, until the morning of december 1st and he’s in between your thighs, knuckle softly nudging your clit through your panties. the next thing you know, he really does fuck you into the mattress with slow and deep strokes, making you promise to never prompt this challenge to him again for the next following years.

you climb into bed with him, hand on his shoulder as you shake him gently in case he was already asleep (he’s definitely not). “jakeeee,” you drag out in a whine, knowing that he’s ignoring you now because his breathing isn’t as deep if he were actually asleep. you pout when he continues to ignore you, so you decide the only way to grab his attention is to straddle him, ass meeting his crotch area and his hands immediately fly to your waist. yeah… he texted the groupchat with embarrassment the next morning.

he thinks its sooo funny, especially seeing jake all fired up after he challenges the members to do nnn. with harmless taunts of “you won’t even last a day” or “i bet twenty that jake can’t go past twenty four hours!” his only goal in mind was to beat jake (because he already knew jay would be able to go for the whole month if he really wanted to, and heeseung is too unreadable). “don’t even try anything with me tonight,” sunghoon warns as he walks through the front door, catching you off guard when you jump at his sudden voice. not even a hello— but at this point you’re used to his weird antics anyway.

eunseok takes care of the team quietly. you’ve noticed that he’s the one picking up items that the others might forget, or quietly placing water bottles he had refilled back near the bench. he drapes towels on the others’ necks without a word, and yet he masks his caring ways under his quick retorts and unbothered personality. not that anyone never noticed - you along with everyone on the team knows of his considerate, caring nature. sure, he loves to tease you between or even during matches as he sees how much more stressed you are than the actual players and their coach, but that doesn’t nullify all his small acts of service for everyone. eunseok is often found standing at your side between matches, usually because he finds your presence calming before a big game. sometimes, you wake up with his warm up jacket covering you on the drive to the tournament venue in the early morning. seemingly the one to always let you borrow something of his and will have a knowing smug look on his face when he overhears someone compliment you for it, only to say “yeah, i agree,” without disclosing the fact that it’s his.

sungchan is a ball of energy. he reminds you of a big puppy with the way he’s always hyping the team up, making sure to reassure them when the team happens to be stuck in a rut. he’s probably one of the loudest on the court. he refuses to let the others think badly about their plays, shutting down any possible thoughts of blaming themselves for losing a set or game. his bright energy catches everyone’s attention, and many people seem to fall for him. but sungchan sticks to your side between matches, making sure you always have everything you need and are eating enough while you make sure the team eats enough because “you need to take care of yourself too.” he always tries to gives up his seat for others, especially you, but you insist that he has to rest for their next match. insists on helping you make sure the air pressure in each ball at practice is full just because he likes to spend time with you. before each hit during warm-ups at matches, he turns and points to you, only to laugh when you shake your head after he shouts, “this is for you!” then proceeds to completely miss the quick set shotaro had sent him.

원빈 、PARK WONBIN !

position: defensive specialist, setter

he’s quiet. that’s for sure, though he always seems to get the job done and more. wonbin is a reliable silent threat, and not many people pay attention to him especially since he’s in the back row acting as one of the defensive specialists. he doesn’t mind that his role is underrated because it doesn’t matter to him. he knows how important his role is in the back row, backing up sohee (his fellow defensive player) to dig whatever spike comes at him. he’s especially good with overhead passes and can even act as a setter if shotaro happens to get the first touch. he may be silent, but when wonbin is playing, the ball never touches the ground. he’s quick on his feet and always seems to play scrappy - pulling out tricks that no one seems to even think about. he can hit back row spikes, for sure, but he prefers not to. one thing that makes people fear him are his floater serves. although his aren’t flashy jump serves, his floaters always seem to change direction in the most unrealistic way, swerving past the players on the other side of the net.

wonbin is very similar to haikyuu’s kenma, often not taking care of himself. he seems to take care of the team before himself, even if he’s about to collapse from exhaustion from back to back matches. that’s where you (and shotaro) come in, doting on him to make sure he eats. he’ll only refuse the first few times, so you shove a plate of food into his hands and sit down in front of him to make sure he eats. he’s shy as well, preferring to stick to you to hover his face over your shoulder as his teammates socialize with other teams. however wonbin has another side to him that only the team knows, one where he gets really crazy during practice and ends up busting out the most out of pocket sentences that have the whole team cracking up. it’s one of your favorite moments when wonbin seems to cut tension after losing a match, or mentioning something everyone noticed about something they saw during the day but never brought up because they were too embarrassed to. it has everyone laughing comfortably hysterically, because of course wonbin, the reserved one, is the one to bring it up unexpectedly.

승한 、HONG SEUNGHAN !

position: defensive specialist, opposite hitter, setter

the bright, positive player who seems to bring energy to a match on both sides of the court. he’s always talking despite his introverted personality, and he views it one of his strengths despite being an analytical defensive player on the court. he loves hitting back row, and kind of hates that he rarely gets to do it, but loves to fulfill any role that the team needs. seunghan has exceptional ball control, seemingly able to pass any serve that comes at him regardless of the skill level. he angles it so perfectly to shotaro, allowing the rest of the team to execute a perfectly-set up attack, and that alone has him satisfied. at first, he didn’t think he had an important role, but you had made him realize that defense is just as important if not more, than offense. seunghan can read dinks versus spikes very well, and his agility allows him to get to the ball quick, making him a valuable asset to the back row. seunghan also always encourages his teammates whether they earned a point or made a mistake, never allowing them to even think about blaming themselves.

the most excited, seunghan is the mood maker of the team. he’s the one to bring the most energy to matches, always extremely hyped up and bringing a portable speaker everywhere. seunghan loves to joke around and keeps up with a lot of the trends, being the one to convince you to create a team social media account. he practically runs it with the way he always seems to steal your phone to film the others and themselves between matches, goofing off and having fun. he’s the one to suggest filming one of those videos where the team crowds around the front camera from above, throwing balls, shoes, knee pads, whatever above their head and seeing who gets hit. he can get bummed out if he doesn’t do well, and at these times he finds you, clinging to you during lunch. you’ll be sitting on a bench with your plate out, and he’ll just be at your legs with his head in your lap or leaning against your knees. this is when his introverted personality shines through, and the team does everything to get their mood maker back to his best. after all, it’s what seunghan always does for them.

even the slight angle of a setter’s wrist allows him to know who the setter is setting to, and sohee quickly adjusts himself to where that hitter had hit last. his brain is almost a computer with how much information he remembers: where the hitters tend to send their ball, how each player serves, which player on the other team seems to have a weakness they can use to their advantage. if sohee has a suggestion in a play, the others immediately follow because it always works. because of his cute aura and the reduced spotlight on back row players, no one expects him to be the mastermind behind the intense plays of the team. and that’s what makes it work. sohee is a secret weapon, because not only is he extremely meticulous, but he is not afraid to get on the floor to dig a hit. he refuses to let a ball drop without even trying for it, and if it does, punishes himself by diving post-play because he should’ve done it to get the ball in the first place. nevertheless, it’s rare for that to happen because sohee reads hitters and setters perfectly. sohee will not hesitate to run across the court to send the ball back over the net on the last touch if he needs to, and you can’t even count the amount of times you’d had to help him ice his shins after crashing into the bleachers to save a ball.

sohee is the team’s charger. everyone clings to him because just being around him is healing. and although he might not be used to the affection and all the skinship, he wills himself to get used to it because he knows how much it helps the team. he happily helps you with your managing duties, especially when you try to find recordings of the teams they’ll be playing against, helping you and their coach analyze it and relaying the information to shotaro. sometimes follows you like a duckling, both at tournaments or at practice, and is one to initiate dodgeball games with the volleyball at the end of practice, usually by throwing a ball in the air which “accidentally” hits anton while he sips on some water. always helps you set up the net for training too, making sure you don’t drop the heavy poles or fall from the post where the referees usually stand.

앤톤 、LEE CHANYOUNG !

position: outside hitter

if anything, he and sungchan are the most feared on the team, primarily due to their large stature. despite his soft spoken nature, anton is one of the physically strongest players on the team, having the hardest hits to pass. that makes him so qualified for being an outside hitter because his spikes often push past the blocks of the other team. he’s still a little new to jousting up at the top of the net, but sungchan’s been teaching him well - how to not feel bad for pushing against the opponents’ hands and how to make sure to be ready for the ball to drop back onto their side. anton was a newcomer to the team but advanced quickly, earning such an important offensive position early into his athletic career. he’s also a quiet player and had trouble calling for the ball at first, but as soon as he experienced the satisfaction of hitting such a perfectly executed spike that even sohee couldn’t pass during practice, he stopped hesitating to call shotaro to set him up. he’s still learning but he learns fast, much to the dismay of opposing teams, especially with his strong jump serve.

as the youngest, the team looks to dote on anton a lot. despite being used to being an older brother, he allows the team to cling to him as long as he can to you. he tries his best not to get in the way and just wants to make sure everything runs smoothly, refusing to let any disputes linger between the team by gently speaking up to try to clear the air. it’s rare that he has to do that, but the team usually calms down once they realize that anton’s the one who’s confronting the issue. anton is another to cling to you when socializing with other teams, though if he gets comfortable enough with the other players he’ll leave you with wonbin at your side. he also follows you around like a duckling, always asking if there’s anything he can do to help with your managing duties and always offering to help you set up for practice.

he is a textbook gentleman, always watching out for you in the smallest ways. he would make sure to walk along the curbside of the road, walking slightly in front of you to shade you from the sun if it gets too hot; he would place his hand around the edge of the table when you dip underneath it to pick something up, making sure you wouldn’t accidentally hit your head against it; and he would always open the doors for you, letting you walk in first with a smile and a soft, “after you, love.”

when he shares an umbrella with you, he would tilt it over to your side, making sure you’re covered completely, even if his side gets drenched by the rain. “what are you doing?” heeseung asked, watching you push his hand that was holding the umbrella away from you. “you’re getting wet.” you said with a slight frown, earning a light laugh from your boyfriend. “i’d rather get wet than risk you getting sick.” your frown deepened, but before you could protest, his arm suddenly wrapped around your waist, pulling you flush against his body. “if you’re so worried, then just stick closer to me sweetheart.”

it brings him so much joy watching your face light up into a smile as you enjoy the food he made for you, giving him a kiss on the cheek in gratitude. sometimes when it’s his day off, he would prepare a packed lunch for you, slipping in a handwritten note with a sweet message that never fails to brighten up your day. it got to the point that even your friends got jealous, and jay started to get complains from their boyfriends about setting the standards too high.

you have to be mindful whenever you tell him you like something though, because he is 100% the type of boyfriend to stock up on your favourites. “jay? what’s all this?” you asked with your brows furrowed together, pointing at the large crate of mangoes on the dining table. “oh, you really liked the mangoes from last time, so i bought more.” jay smiled proudly. “but a whole crate?” you laughed in disbelief, tapping his nose lightly, “dummy, we can’t finish this all!” jay only shrugged, smiling as he hugged you close, “but you can have as many as you like this time.”

SIM JAEYUN + carries your things for you.

he never brings a bag when he goes out alone, because his pockets are enough for his necessities. but when he goes out with you, he makes sure to bring a bag with him to carry your things, just so you can carry your dainty purse that matches with your outfit. he’s also the type of boyfriend to carry your girly purse proudly in public as he waits for you outside the bathroom, or when you’re in the changing room trying on new clothes. he thinks it’s a way to let everyone else know that you’re taken, that you’re his.

and don’t even try to carry the shopping bags, he would never let you. even if he struggles with it, he would insist on carrying everything in one hand, just so he can hold your hand. “jake, i can carry one.” you said, trying to negotiate with him. jake shakes his head firmly. “i’d much rather hold your hand. please?” he pouts a little, knowing well that you can’t deny him when he looks at you like that. he smiles in satisfaction when you finally relent, lacing your fingers between his.

PARK SUNGHOON + helps you with your clothes.

he’s a big tease when you ask him for help with your clothes, always resting his hands on you for a little longer than needed. he would gently push your hair forward, hands pressing lightly against your exposed back as he zips up the back of your dress. his hands run on the colder side, sending shivers down your spine that is only amplified when his fingertips brush across the back of your neck. sometimes he would pretend to struggle with your necklace, leaning down and whispering an innocent sorry against the shell of your ear as his fingers fumble with the clasp. but you could feel his lips pull up into a smirk when he presses them against the back of your neck, his breath fanning against your skin, telling you that he’s done with on your necklace.

he would occasionally kneel down to help you tie your shoelaces, or to put on your heels, just to see the way you get flustered; heat rising up your face as you tell him it’s over the top, and that you can put on your own shoes perfectly fine by yourself. to which, he would respond with a smirk, “so what? can’t i take care of my princess?” 

KIM SUNOO + is your biggest supporter.

sunoo is your biggest hype man in everything you do. he is the most encouraging and supportive person in your life, and he doesn’t plan on ever changing that. he loves to listen to your stories, and is really invested in the gossip that you tell him. it got to the point that he prepares a blanket fort when you leave for girls night, waiting for you to come back just to hear all about the new updates. and no matter what happens, he always takes your side, cussing out the people who upset or annoy you.

“damn, i always knew she was a kinda bitch.” your eyes widened at his statement, “sunoo! you can’t say that!” “nah, she always gave me mean girl vibes, plus she made you cry!” sunoo tutted, shaking his head, “she’s definitely in my burn book.” and when he sees the said girl the following day, you best bet that he is giving her the dirtiest side eye ever known to humankind.

YANG JUNGWON + walks you home.

he always walks you home, every single time. it doesn’t matter how far apart you live, he’d do it even if it would take him double the time to get back to his home. he just needs to know that he had sent you home safely, waving bye to you from the window of your room, sending you a few hand hearts and blowing you a kiss before leaving.

it got to the point that you became worried for him instead, noticing how he seemed to be getting less and less sleep from how late he got back home after your dates. one time, you decided to invite him to stay the night at your place, hoping he would get a good night’s sleep. your plan backfired almost immediately, the two of you cuddling and talking until the night departed and the sun began to rise. but jungwon couldn’t care less. if he could spend more time with you, falling asleep with you by his side just as the sun began to peak through the blinds, loosing a couple hours of sleep meant nothing.

NISIMURA RIKI + is extremely attentive.

he may love to tease and joke around with you, but he’s actually extremely attentive and has a great memory when it comes to things about you. he has a note saved on his phone where he writes down all the things that you like and dislike, your favourite go-to order, and the dates of special occasions. he would login to your accounts just to see what you have saved in your shopping basket, and tell you not to waste your money on those items, just so he can buy them for you on your birthday a few weeks later.

he can tell how you’re feeling from just one look at you, and it’s gotten to the point where you can’t hide anything from him, because he’ll see right through you. so when you try to plan surprises for him, you have to be extra cautious to hide it from him. but even if he finds out about the surprise (which he does most of the time), he would put up an act, pretending to be caught off guard by whatever you had planned, because nothing beats the bright smile on your face.
