How did Chiron not IMMEDIATELY pull Percy from Yancy Academy after the boy accidentally vaporized his pre-algebra teacher? Chiron left camp because Grover was certain this boy was so special. There was even a rumor about a Big Three kid running around, the one of the prophecy, etc. Then, this demigod kid attracted a FURY, who was bold enough to try and finish the boy off UNDER CHIRON’S NOSE. And what did Chiron do? Gaslight, gatekeep, horseboss, go study for your Greek mythology test and stay in the dorms <3 That man loved his teaching job.
