okay. story time.
A while ago I had joined the Viprin+Paste server for the emojis, but never really talked or anything since I don’t feel too confident speaking to people in big public Discord servers. But I eventually thought to myself, “hey, why not post some of my Geometry Dash art?” And so, I began to talk to get level ups in the server. Lo and behold, while I’m in the middle of doing this, Viprin himself appears to thank one of his supporters…
…and he sees the emoji I used, being my design of his cube as a humanoid character. My friend @tubulartimetopper-blog made the emoji! Anyways, Viprin noticed it.
And he wanted to see my design. So for the next few minutes I was scrambling to get to level 5 in the server, and upon doing so and posting my art, the unspeakable happened.
HE PUT IT IN HIS ART SHOWCASE CHANNEL. AND I FREAKED OUT SO MUCH- by the way, soon afterwards my buddy @boxcoglitchbox also got their awesome art posted in this channel. It was so insane like I could’ve never expected it.
And guess what? Later, I gained the confidence to start an art thread in the official Geometry Dash server. And as of today…
I WAS FEATURED AGAIN. I CANNOT STRESS HOW MUCH I AM LOSING IT RIGHT NOW. I’M STIMMING, SCREAMING, AND SOBBING ALL AT ONCE. I’M SO HAPPY PEOPLE LIKE MY STUPID GEOMETRY DASH CUBE DESIGNS WAAAAAAAAGH

GeoDash Levels...But Human(oid)

They're at the front gate, first one you see when you hop into the game, and despite the spiky nature of their clothes and shoes, they want to make sure you're nice and comfortable for your first level.

We feel like we want to make friends on here, but then we realize and remember that we're still in school ages and now we fear that if we do make friends on here, they're gonna reveal that they're, like, 23 year olds or something and then they'll just leave or something...

if anything, a relative of mine once said that "slaughterhouse is the top 1 that feels most like a top 1". like even if it sucks and it's built terribly, it still feels like it was built to be a top 1
unfortunately this is its only redeeming quality. i miss the days of the original RGB trilogy tbh

ill just give a geometry dash hot take since i can't really think of anything else.
Slaughterhouse is just one of the worst top 1s we've ever had, if not the worst. It's barely a minute long, the gameplay itself is just an extended challenge list level in quality (almost 16% of the gameplay is just straightfly) , it's a remake of an old impossible level AGAIN but it doesn't even resemble it in the slightest, (not to mention GREIF also exists and also sucks), and worst of all it is literally just another red hell themed extreme demon. The "atmosphere" everyone keeps praising the level for is 1. not even that impressive because again it's just a red level with spooky music, and 2. a level has to have more than just atmosphere to be actually good. The only thing keeping this from being the definitive worst top 1 is Sakupen Circles, but people already seem to agree that level is garbage. But for some reason, people seem to love Slaughterhouse even tho it's also just another wave-based red hell level. Only thing i will give Slaughterhouse is that that River's part is kinda cool. has really unique glow usage.
I cannot stress how big this is. The store page for steam also updated, plus info for five new gauntlets has been added to the servers. Additionally, the iOS Store info shows that GD is 192MB (2.11 is ~89MB)

most extreme demons fall under two categories: time machine and clubstep.
acu? time machine. cataclysm? clubstep. zodiac? time machine. necropolis? while it looks like it falls under time machine at first glance, it actually falls under clubstep.
sonic wave, like all other nine circles levels, are exceptions in that they all fall under blast processing.
