OKAY HI I SAID ID RUN BUT IM HACK RQ

Phantom introducing Count chocula to mountain after when mountain had a breakdown (WHICH IUCH THE FIC HURT, BUT WAS SO GOOD), as his way of trying to apologize and stuff would just be ahahahha

Like little phantom walking over with Count, a little nervous but asking mountain if he wants to play?? And he tries to be understanding if he says no??

Ok the idea of Mountain having a cow and Phantom also having one and being really excited about it just hasn't left my mind.

I wrote this while the snow was starting here so am I projecting onto Mount? Yes...yes I am.

Cw: migraine, vomit (not in graphic detail), crying, Cg Dew, Cg Rain, sweet Phantom doing their best to learn and remember some stuff sometimes

OKAY HI I SAID ID RUN BUT IM HACK RQ

The blizzard had moved in quickly and with a vengeance and Mountain had been struck down by it. Its cold fingers dipping into his skull and wrapping his brain in a vice grip.

Dew had found him curled in the hallway, sick on his shirt and hands pressed over his eyes. He'd clearly been trying to make it to Dew's room before it got too bad but he hadn't made it.

Dew had managed to get him into a quick shower and into something warm and soft before tucking him into his bed with his curtains drawn. He cried from the pain until he fell asleep, waking only to cry and be sick again.

He hated that nothing really worked for the pain. He alternated between his warm hands and a cool cloth.

They stay in bed for hours until some of the pressure in his head eases back. He cries when his Bunny's ear dips into the sick bucket.

"We will get him washed fast, pebble. Do you think you can handle the den right now? You need to get something in your tummy and I can get Jürgen in the wash."

He doesn't really want to move but he nods anyway. "Acker..."

"We can grab him on the way."

When Dew grabs his cow from the shelf, Mountain immediately presses his face into its squishy neck. He doesn't snuggle with him as much, too special and he just never wants him to get dirty but he needs him today.

Dew grabs another blanket and drapes it over Mountain's shoulders before taking his hand and leading him down to the den.

It's quiet which is a relief and he imagines most of the pack is out helping clear snow with the siblings. Rain is on the couch, curled under a blanket with a coffee and a book while the fire blazes in the fire place.

He smiles a little when he sees Mountain and Dew. "Hi petite fleur." (little flower)

"Can you sit with Rain for a few minutes so I can get Jürgen in the wash and get your soup ready?"

He sniffles but nods, slowly shuffling toward the couch. Rain positions himself so Mountain can lay between his legs with his head fully against his chest. He pulls the blankets over them both, pressing a kiss to the top of his head once he's settled.

"Comfy?" He keeps his voice quiet and soft, just barely above a whisper.

He only gets a little 'mm' in response but he takes it as a yes. He tightens his arms when Dew leaves, soothing the anxiety he knows shoots through the little earth ghoul.

Rain runs his fingers through his hair whenever he whimpers or flinches from the pain, or when his tummy turns and he tries to curl in on himself. Rain shushes him softly until he's able to settle back down.

He squeezes his cow and Dew's voice cuts through the silence and Rain jumps, not expecting it. Mountain giggles just the tiniest bit against Rain's chest.

"I didn't know he talked." He kisses the top of his head. "Does he have a name, fleur?"

"Acker."

"Oh that's very nice. You pick the best names."

"Thank you."

Rain feels him sliding his thumb up to his mouth and his breathing slowing as he rests against the water ghouls cool chest.

They both jump when the door slams and Phantom races into the den, giggling and shouting over their shoulder about hot cocoa.

Rain covers Mountain's ears as best as he can when he whimpers.

"Laut..." (Loud)

"I know bèbè, hang on." He presses against his ear a little harder once Phantom is closer. "Bug, can you lower your voice please? Mountain isn't feeling well and really needs it quiet."

"M'sorry..."

"No need to be sorry, you didn't know." Rain squeezes their hand.

He watches Phantom's eyes land on Mountain's cow and light up.

"I h-have a cow t-too!" They whisper, still a bit too loud. "What's h-his name?" Their fingers reach forward and Mountain flinches.

"Nein bitte, Rain..." (No please)

"Maybe not right now, bug. I'm sure he will show you when he feels a little better."

They pout a little. "But-"

"Remember that we are all allowed to say no to something and we respect that even if we don't understand why. No is a full sentence, right?"

They nod. "Yeah...s-sometimes I forget...I just l-like cows. I got one t-too."

"I know love. It's ok." He squeezes their hand again and Phantom runs off.

"Are you alright, petite fleur?"

He shrugs with his eyes squeezed shut. Dew comes back a little after that with Mountain's soup. Rain helps him sit up, the little ghoul keeping his back against Rain's chest. He glances between the bowl and his cow and chews his lip.

"Tuck him under the blanket, pebble, it'll keep him covered in case any spills."

He does, pressing Acker under the blanket and against the side of Rain's leg. Dew feeds him spoonfuls of soup, taking his time, letting Mountain decide how much he wants.

He stops occasionally to press his forehead against Dew's shoulder and Rain runs his fingers through his hair. He gets about halfway through the soup before he decides he's had enough.

They move him around so he's laying back against Dewdrop but he catches Rain's hand and holds onto him too, his cow cradled in his free arm.

They slip into comfortable, warm silence, the warmth of Dew's chest and the coolness of Rain's hands relaxing him just a little further down.

Phantom creeps back into the den quietly with their cow. They sit on the floor, their back pressed against the couch.

"This i-is count c-chocula. He's my chocolate m-milk cow." They keep their voice quiet and Rain smiles. "H-hes also a vampire."

They lift the cow and point at the fangs Swiss sewed onto it. Mountain nuzzles closer to Dew's chest, fingers tightening around Rains fingers.

"Acker."

Phantom blinks at him. "What's t-that mean?"

Mountain lifts his cow slightly. "Acker."

"That's his name, bug." Dew tells him softly with a smile, pressing a kiss to the top of Mountain's head.

"That's a c-cool name!" They wince a little at their volume. "S-sorry. I like h-his horns."

Mountain nods, the horns had been one of the biggest reasons he had chosen that particular one.

Swiss wanders in with a few mugs of hot chocolate, he sets three on the coffee table and hands Phantom their sippy cup.

"How about a story upstairs, Bichito."

Phantom nods and pushes themselves to stand, glancing between Swiss and Mountain.

They lay their cow next to Mountain's. "Y-you can have him till you f-feel better. He will h-help Acorn fix you up."

Mountain giggles. "Acker!"

"S'what I s-said!"

Swiss kisses Mountain's forehead before taking Phantom's hand and leading them upstairs.

"That was nice of them, hm?" Dew adjusts the stuffies better under Mountain's arm.

He nods, squeezing them close to his face and shutting his eyes. "Schläfrig." (Sleepy)

"You can sleep, pebble."

He peeks at Rain from behind the cows. "Bleiben?" (Stay)

Rain glances at Dew for translation. "He wants to know if you'll stay."

Rain smiles and lifts his hand to kiss it. "Of course, Mon doux amour." (My sweet love)

He smiles and pulls both stuffies back up against his face, slowly drifting off in their softness.
