Question for Avatar fans: How would you react if you woke up in an Avatar body?
Honestly, I think the thing that would stick out the most to me would be having a tail. I just know my dumb ass would panic thinking a bug was touching my leg when it was really just my own tail π I'd probably keep forgetting it's there and slam it in doors when I close them behind me. Maybe that's why the Na'vi don't use doors.

Sooooo....I made and Avatar fanfic :p This is my first fic and it's for the first movie. I plan on making a second one for the second movie. It's a Tsu'Tey x reader fanfic because I love him so much and I couldn't break up the Sully family. The reader is Black/AA because I am half-black and I don't see many black reader fanfics for Avatar π They are kind of gender natural I put they/them but when it comes to body parts/features I put male and female <3 It's on my ao3 and Wattpad (Username is LazyBoiKat on all platforms) and I might post it on here if I can figure out how to use Tumblr lol.

Angsty headcannon short story?
Grace had referred to the people in the avatar program as her kids more than once. Jokingly grounding someone for a dumb mistake or settling and argument like a tired mother.
It had become an inside joke that Grace adopted anyone in the program regardless of their age.
After the shooting at the school no one called her 'mom' or 'mother'. Knowing that her murdered students had once called her that.
Two years passed without anyone calling her Mother, no one wanted to remind her of what had happened, no one wanted to cause her any pain. Then two new avatar drivers arrived.
It was obvious that she had taken a liking to Norm the moment they met. The scrawny scientist had impressed the woman by formally introducing himself in Na'vi, trying his hardest to make a good impression on his idol.
And it seemed that Jake would be a thorn in her side. But only a few days after their arrival all three left the base, moving to a remote link site deep in the floating mountains.
No one knew exactly why they left. The only person who knew was Max, and he refused to tell anyone why.
Three months passed before anyone saw them in person again. Even then it was only briefly as Grace and Jake had linked hours later to try and save the Omatikaya from the RDA's attack.
They were forced to watch as Hometree fell and Grace was pulled from her link, screaming that Selfridge was a murderer.
That was the last time they saw her.
A day later Max was telling them that she was dead. That Quaritch had killed her, that Jake and the na'vi had tried to save her, that he was planning to attack and drive the RDA off the moon.
They all agreed right then and there to join the fight. To do whatever it took to win.
To avenge their Mother.
