Rant...

So as an avid fanfic reader & writer, I've noticed an unfortunate commonality across the various forums.

We all know that lots of people have issues differentiating between "their", "there", & "they're". "To", "two", & "too" are another set people have issues with, along with "your" & "you're".

But lately there's been a new one...

Quite vs Quiet.

Quite: to the utmost or most absolute extent or degree; absolutely; completely to a certain or fairly significant extent or degree; fairly.

Quiet: making little or no noise, carried out discreetly, secretly, or with moderation.

I'm not sure what I find more disconcerting: the knowledge that Mr. Ratburn and I have rather similar blogs, or the fact that I'm completely ok with that.
