"Please! Don't lock me up in here!"

I've always been very scared to show these kinds of concept sketches I make of my characters, but, now I just wanna share everything I'm able to come up with! Hope you like it!

After being transferred into this new facility, Kaal is not able to control his ability just yet. Therefore, he needs to be locked up and studied frequently due to his enormous size and inhumane strength. In this sketch, you can see Kaalich asking his mentor and doctor, Lara (she is all of my part-mutant character's mentor), to not let him stay in that studying room where everyone can see him.

Lara is a very empathetic person, and even though she's there to take care of the studied part-mutants, she's also seen as a motherly figure for everyone in the facility.

Some context regarding my OC's and original story!

You may already know my character Kaalich, he is part Tryclops (three eyed cyclops). In the beginning of my story when Kaalich first mutates, he needs to be transferred into a facility made specially for humans with mutant abilities (in my story, there are two types of mutants, the "100% mutants" (humanoid mutants with no ability to comprehend emotions whatsoever, with the only will is to attack and kill) and "part mutants" (these are humans who did not transition completely into mutants, therefore they still have their emotions and memories intact, in my story, a mutant is never born, a mutant is made.)

Note: Kaalich is my character's his nickname given after mutating, meaning "eye on throat" in Mayan. His real name is Alexandro, but people refer to him as 'Kaalich' or 'Kaal' more often. 'Alexandro' is mostly used in very serious/private situations.

Random idea I can't get off my mind-

A humans who's life has been hard and when they were ten wrote a letter without Stamps are an address or anything saying something along the lines of "if theirs anyone who's big and strong please help me" or something more poetic than that, and Years later when their like twenty and are kinda out of that situation, a giant just comes in and rips the roof off their apartment or house and is all like "I got your letter! I'm here to get out of here!" And without giving the human a chance to explain or even process what's happening, kidnaps them and takes them to their cabin in the forest. In the giants mind their helping the human get out of a dangerous situation, but in reality they just found a ten year old letter in the dirt on their way home and felt the need to be a hero.

I've been lurking around and decided to make a prompt again

i think i know what im doing now

so like-

smalls that submit to the big-

like- NOT like as a slave or pet, just out of fear.

they've seen what happens when the big gets mad, like at a video game, or a character on a show they like or smth, and they worry that they'll upset the big and something bad will happen to them-

kinda like-

big wants to pick you up? you're kinda scared of hights and/or dont feel like you can trust them yet. "sure!"

big wants to carry you around in pocket? being that close to the big makes you uncomfortable for one reason or another. "why not?"

and then the tiny acts like they're fine so the big doesn't realize whats happening

and the big thinks they're getting somewhere and that the tiny is more comfortable with them now

and then when (and if) they find out and they're so heartbroken- ( ; ; )

I’m feral at the idea of capable Tinies who need to slow down, and they have a Giant in their life who is going to help them learn how to rest. 

A brilliant student who has been pulling several all-nighters cramming for a final they’re definitely way overthinking, so their Giant plucks them up and says “nope you’re done, you need to rest” and tucks them in their pocket and takes them out for lunch or coffee. And the student just passes clean out in their pocket the moment they feel even just a bit of comfy fabric on their face. 

A Borrower who has known nothing but pain and desperation their whole life–one who has had to kill for every substantial meal that has sustained them. But now they’re learning what COMFORT is with a Human? And it’s scary and uncomfortable and weird? And they sort of have to be coaxed into not sleeping with their weapons every night, and allowing themselves to trust that the Human will keep them safe?

It’s not a matter of the Tinies NOT being able to handle themselves–they can and they have for a good long while, but it’s the fact that they FINALLY are allowed a moment to actually REST and feel SAFE.

ive been thinking about the trope where the big is (usually significantly) older than the tiny, and i just wanna put a twist on things, to make it more interesting (not that i find it boring its actually one of my favorite tropes)

soo here are my ideas:

Big may be much older than small but still sorta young and inexperienced with kids. Maybe like 16 - 18 year old trying to take care of some child they found one night, maybe in their 20's with no experience with kids as either the youngest or only child, yk something like that

Big doesnt realize the small is a kid/tween, likely because they look older than they actually are. This is really good angst material when big figures out the truth, either by the tiny telling them or some other way. either way, i NEED it.

anyway just some silly little ways to spice up your parental g/t =3

A new species!

(you're free to use it without credit, just don't claim it as your own)

the species are currently called deerians because i created them 2 years ago in the middle of the night and never renamed them

anyway, they're little people- naturally around 1' 6" when full grown- with deer ears, antlers, tails, and stuff.

basically plantigrade deer furry thing

they're a magical species and usually have magic relating to 1-2 of the 4 elements (air, water, earth/plant, fire). Most learn how to disguise similar to humans for safety, keeping only the antlers, ears and tail of a deer (so basically kemonomimi)

How does that keep them safe? i dunno maybe kemonomimi are common in my little world i've come up with (they are lol)

they're a size-shifting species, only able to get bigger than their natural size. they can grow up to be the corresponding height, and no bigger. (example: they're naturally 1' 6", the average size for a deerian. so they can grow up to be 5' 6", the average height for a human.)

a not that important Warning! i'll be rambling and world building below. if you don't wanna read that, you can go now ^^

they don't really have their own language, and instead use languages humans use like english, spanish, french, ect.

they used seeds as currency. sunflower seed are worth the most and tulip seeds the least

they lived in a little kingdom inside an abandoned mansion before some undecided unknown species came and took over the kingdom, driving everyone out.

this next part is about how life is before & after the fall of the kingdom

Life before the fall Life was pretty good. the current ruler was fair and just and cared for all citizens equally. he and his family constantly went out to town to see how people were doing and find ways to make life better for them. the king before had been cruel and the current one wanted to make sure he was nothing like him. Some deerians who were skilled enough in their craft would work at jobs in the nearby human town to make money they used to buy food and clothing materials for the kingdom. They didn't need high-paying jobs since the kingdom was a buncha tiny people, and small amounts of food/cloth made such a large difference to little guys. other people worked to make other items for people like clothes, and bedding. some cook. lots of little jobs in the little society. School teaches the kids basic normal stuff that you'd learn in school until 4th grade, when they start teaching about magic as well, since that's when their magic starts to kick in. they have an AIG(academically or intellectually gifted)-type thing for kids who's magic comes in early called the "Early Sprouters Program" or ESP.

Life after the fall People have scattered. Small groups of people set up camp and started making village-like areas, safe havens for loners to come and stay. Loners are very small groups of people (ex: a friend group, a family, a small group of random people who barely know each other) who travel together and scavenge for food while looking for others to add to their group. Some loners are actually alone, fending for themselves, and there are very few loners who left their group to find somewhere else to live, besides with other deerians. Most deerians are unsure what happened to the royal family besides a few families who happened upon them while wandering. Most assumed they're dead. (they aren't btw)

anyway, world building aside here's a few extra details about deerians before you go (ive been typing for an hour omg)

there's other types of deerian

Deerfox Deerian Like a deerian but with fox ears & tail. they also can turn into a deerfox, although they can't size shift when in that form, and always go to natural deerfox size (aka natural fox size), no matter what size they were when they shifted

Jackalope (kemono)mimi Although the species branched off of deerians, it's been around for much longer than the deerfox-deerian and has evolved to be what's basically a human with bunny features and antlers. And magic.

tinies who can draw

they use a piece of led (the mechanical pencil kind probably) and learn from the shows their bean watches

the bean is a sucker for diy so they make a few of the tiny notebooks for fun

its one of those "oh i'll just do it once for fun" things that becomes an obsession because they're SO DARN CUTE.

they notice one day that one is missing but don't pay much mind because "oh they're small it was bound to get lost eventually" and don't put much thought into it.

little do they know a tiny actually stole borrowed one to use to draw in instead of paper scraps thrown away by the aforementioned crafty bean

okay so i wasn’t planning on watching Black Adam but @so-very-small posted about it and i was like omg there’s g/t in it. this scene is SOSO cute it’s absolutely adorable how he gently helps her up with his finger. this scene made me so happy wkdiwndgwgf

Guys guys this anime is so cute. It’s called “How to Keep a Mummy” and the episodes are on youtube. There’s so many adorable g/t interactions with the humans and that little mummy along with other little creatures❤️❤️

one of my favorite g/t related things has got to be when a tiny falls off of somewhere high and the giant catches them and examines them to make sure they’re okay like— idk it’s just so cute how worried the giant is 😩❤️❤️. and then the giant will be super cautious in the future whenever the tiny is up high somewhere, keeping their hands near them and being extra prepared to catch them if it happens again ><

i was just looking back at this movie(Oz the Great and Powerful)! moments like this were so damn cute. i love how gentle they are with her cause she’s small and can break easily. absolute cuteness
