The bells chimed indicating another customer had come in. Most of your customers looked familiar at least, but not him. You'd never seen him before. He was muscular and broad-shouldered. And his smile… was ADORABLE. You immediately blushed. He came up, looking in the display case of all the different treats and pastries you had.
“Can I get you anything?” You ask him with your well practiced customer service smile.
“A cherry turnover wouldn't be bad,” he smiled again. His smile was contagious and broke your trained smile into a real one.

“Your number?” he asked with forced confidence. You were a bit surprised, but not at all in a bad way.
“Alright, will that be all for you?” You play along, thank goodness because this guy was panicking on the inside. He looked relieved underneath the cocky smirk he was still wearing. He tries to hide his obvious excitement when you grab a sticky note from behind the register and start writing on it.

This started a long conversation between the two of you. Yet somehow, work never came up. That's why it was so surprising when the next morning you heard your name called by a familiar voice. You were sitting in the lobby of the hospital for your annual check up. You hated getting blood work done, but it was necessary.
“Y/n” Gunil said in a professional tone. The smile on his face when he saw you betrayed his professional act.
“I wasn't expecting to see you again so soon,” He said. He wasn't nearly as shy as he was yesterday. You were in his arena now. This was his profession and he knew the ins and outs of it.
“Have a seat” He gestures for you to sit in the small chair so he could take your vitals. Now was not the time for your mind to be acting up. Everyone's got a thing for men in their uniforms, right? I mean, the way his short sleeves hugged his muscular biceps, the way the stethoscope looked hanging from his neck. You would let this man do s- you brushed the thought away. Now was the worst time for that.
He put on the stethoscope. It was time to take your blood pressure. He held your arm and placed the instrument on the inside of your elbow. “Sorry I have to ask you this but, when was your last period?”He gulps, feeling a bit uncomfortable asking you. You didn't feel awkward answering him though.
