I had way too much fun creating this yearbook. Also I'm fully aware that a yearbook is usually created at the end of a schoolyear (at least that's how it's done in Germany) but what better way is there than to introduce the characters in a high school story than via a silly yearbook entry? c:

Just something silly I did while waiting at the doctor's office. I doubt Nasja ever forgets to do her homework. Her parents have very outdated worldviews and believe that women only require some basic level of education. Out of spite Nasja is doing her best in school to prove them both wrong. (You go, my queen! Show them that us women can be just as succesfull in life as men can!)

Character introduction: The Nobrowskis
The Nobrowskis may look like the perfect family on paper, but secrets run deep.
Alexander's father, Maksym Nobrowski, is the current CEO of Kasper Institute, an internationally known and highly respected medical research center. Both Alexander's father and grandfather expect him to take over the family business one day, but Alexander has no real interest in medicine and struggles with the idea of having his whole life planned out by others.
Nasja, Alexander's younger sister, dreams of going to university one day. But her parents are very traditional and want Nasja to start a family of her own early rather than waste her best years chasing a degree she has no use for. Nasja desperately tries to convince her family that a woman can do more than just take care of the household and raise children, but despite her good grades in High School her father doesn't waver from his outdated view.

Character introduction: meet the Lawsons Tom's father was sent to prison for attempted murder when Tom was only 5 years old. To cope with the situation, Veronika, Tom's mother, began drinking heavily - and eventually lost her job as a result.
The next few years were not easy for the little family. Tom was expected to grow up much faster than most children his age due to the dire circumstances in which he and his mother lived.
Tom became very protective of his mother, but at the same time often blamed her for their situation. Deep down he knew that his mother was not at fault for any of this, but on particularly bad days it was an easier lie to himself than to face reality.
Fortunately, things are much better these days. They're still not rich by any means, but Veronika has overcome her addiction and has a stable income, so Tom can focus on his goal of becoming a professional football player.

He spends most of his free time at the gym.
He is gay and very open about his sexuality. He is currently dating Alexander, although it's more like a situationship. Alexander wants to keep it a secret (out of fear of his parents) which Tom isn't very happy about.
Since Veronika only works part time, the family doesn't have much money. So most of the more expensive activities Tom does with his friends are paid for by them.
Copperdale High is in full preparation for career day! This time we invited speakers from Bob Pancake's Pizza Imperium, Landgraab Enterprises and FutureLab. All speakers brought additional materials for the students to get a better impression of the jobs. Let's see which stall will be the most popular.
