I'm Doreen from Gaza. Am sorry for sending you this request without your permission. My house was destroyed in the war, and my family lost everything. We've been displaced multiple times, but there's no safe place here. I'm battling Type 1 Diabetes and can't afford insulin, and my mother needs treatment for kidney failure outside Gaza. Any donation, no matter how small, can help us survive and get my mother the care she needs. A friend outside Gaza is helping with the donation program. Please reach out if you need more details.

Hello, I'm Kariman Dohan. I am writing this letter to you feeling a state of sadness and grief, after the war on Gaza completely destroyed our lives. My husband works as a fisherman, but the fishing boat, which was our only source of income, was badly damaged and no longer usableššš. My young son, Hamoud, suffers from malnutrition due to the lack of food and the polluted water we drink. My husband, Ayman Olwan, and I are trying with all our might to survive, but the situation has become too much for us. We are desperate to escape to a safe place where we can start over, but we don't have enough money to do so.ššš„ŗ Therefore, I ask you for your generosity and kindness to help us so that we can overcome this crisis. Please consider our situation and help as much as you can by donating and sharing the link.ššš„¹šššš

This is Alia and her son Yasser. Yasser, his mother, his 3 siblings, and his grandparents were displaced from north Gaza after their home was destroyed by the occupation several months ago. They are currently in Rafah, which is now under heavy bombardment by the occupation, and ground forces are closing in.

Alia, Yasser, and their family have been struggling with hunger and sickness for months. Now, the occupation has illegally launched an aerial and ground offensive on Rafah.
As part of this attack, they bombed the place where Alia, Yasser, and their family were sheltering. A chunk of shrapnel pierced the thin wall of the tent in which all 7 family members are living and struck Yasser in the torso, seriously injuring him. He had to have major emergency surgery to remove the shrapnel from his small body.
Photo 1 shows where the shrapnel entered the tent, photo 2 shows where Yasser was struck, and photo 3 shows the piece of shrapnel after field surgeons recovered it from his torso.

Due to the destruction of Gazaās infrastructure and the worsened food crisis, Yasserās recovery is heavily stymied. Medical infrastructure in Gaza has been almost completely destroyed, and the last functioning medical centers in Rafah are operating at minimal capacity. Yasser cannot get the treatment he needs, and he is in poor condition.

Alia, Yasser, Aliaās other children, and her parents are trying to evacuate Gaza so that they can reach safety and Yasser can get the treatment he needs.
Rafah Crossing is still closed, but once it reopens, we want Alia, Yasser, and their family to evacuate. However, they are still very far behind their goal.
Please help this family find safety. If you cannot support them directly, please reblog this post, and repost this link (https://gofund.me/328c6d35) across your social media accounts.

NEW MOTHER AND INFANT TRAPPED IN GAZA

Suad Ahmad @suad-ahmad is an engineer from Gaza. She graduated from university at the top of her class and was rapidly excelling in her career as an instructor, consultant, and team leader. Suad, her husband, and their family were overjoyed to find out she was pregnant. Sadly, this was only a week before occupation began its illegal scorched earth campaign against the people of Gaza. Suad's home and workplace were destroyed, and she and her husband's family were displaced from the north.
On the day she went into labor, Suad had to walk a great distance to the hospital. Upon arrival, she found that the hospital was operating at bare minimal capacity. There was not even a bed for her to use. Suad's baby was born with minimal medical support, and the ordeal was extremely difficult. The occupation then began bombing the vicinity of the hospital. Suad and her baby were in immense danger, with nowhere to turn.
Unfortunately, the situation has only gotten worse. Suad and her infant are now living in a tent in extreme heat. lOF attacks continue, putting their lives in immediate danger. The occupation's blockade on Rafah Crossing and the destruction of roads and infrastructure has led to increased, extreme food scarcity. Suad cannot find enough food to feed herself or her baby. She has not been able to recover from the difficult birth, and her baby is missing out on crucial nutrition needed for neonatal development. Once Rafah crossing reopens, Suad and her baby need to be able to evacuate to Egypt for their health and safety.
You can help make this possible by directly supporting them at the link below. Please, help give Suad and her baby a better chance at life. If you cannot give, please reblog this post and repost the link (https://gofund.me/ebaee2af) across all of your social media accounts.
Thank you

šØEMERGENCY ASSISTANCE NEEDED! EXTREMELY URGENT!!
Suad @suad-ahmad, her infant son Khaled, her husband, and his family are trapped in Al-Bureij, central Gaza. They are completely out of funds, due to being forced to evacuate several times, as well as seek medical care for her sonās chest infection.
Now the occupation has issued an evacuation order for their location, as reported by multiple sources. A bombing attack and ground invasion are imminent. They have been displaced from their shelter, but have no money to pay for evacuation. They are stranded in the streets of Al-Bureij, and the invasion could begin at any moment! Suadās infant Khaled is very sick with a chest infection, and antibiotics have done little for him. Being forced to dwell in the streets, amidst attack by occupation soldiers, puts his life and the lives of his family in immediate danger!
PLEASE, anyone who is able, send funds to Suad so she can try to get to safety before the IOF attacks! The sooner Suadās goal is met, the sooner she can use the money to begin evacuation proceedings! Many people believe the border crossing will open soon, and we want Suad and Khaled to be able to evacuate ASAP!
I WILL TRY TO MAKE A SEPARATE POST SOON ABOUT HOW TO HELP SUAD FIND TRANSPORTATION OUT OF AL-BUREIJ!! PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THAT POST!!!

ā[ASOIAF] is often referred to as deconstructive, a saw-toothed machine that eats tropes and poops sadness. I get why that is, but I think itās more REconstructive than deconstructive, not tearing the genre apart so much as reminding readers of why it was worth falling in love with in the first place. Itās not that being the hero is stupid, itās that being the hero is HARD, and you might fail at it. But that doesnāt mean the attempt is worthless. The genre had backed itself into a corner where it promised social rewards for doing the right thing. In book after book, if you were goodāand in these books, it was easy as (hot) pie to be goodāyou would be king, and the land would prosper because of the kingās goodness. ASOIAF argues that it is NOT easy to be good, and that the rewards for being so are NOT automatic, but that this only makes it all the more powerful if you choose to do the right thing anyway. (āNo chance, and no choice.ā) Itās a very existential brand of romanticism. The truest of all knights is Brienne of Tarth, and sheās not even a knight. The truest of all lords is Davos Seaworth, born a nobody in Flea Bottom.ā

PLEASE HELP! Moatazās campaign only has 3 days remaining!

@moatazart and his family are trying to raise funds to rebuild their home after it was destroyed by IOF bombardment.
Moataz, his wife Maryam, and their baby girl Maria were attempting to evacuate to Egypt following the destruction of their home and the siege of Al-Shifa Medical Complex that trapped them for weeks. They hoped to get to safety in Egypt, and find work so they could raise the funds needed to return to Gaza and rebuild their home. However, the day before they were set to travel, the occupation illegally seized control of Rafah crossing. The crossing is now closed and it is not known when it will reopen.
Moataz and his family will not be able to raise the required funds on their own if they cannot reach Egypt. Please support their campaign to rebuild their home.
Thank you
