Didn't see many translations in Portuguese, here's my translation as well:
Se devo morrer,
tens de viver
para contar a minha história
para vender as minhas coisas
para comprar um pedaço de tecido
e uns fios
(faz-o branco com uma cauda longa)
para que uma criança, algures em Gaza
enquanto olha o Céu no olhos
deixa-a trazer esperança
deixa-a ser um conto
People around the world are translating Refaat's "If I must die" poem so it'd have a wider reach. Against Israel's wishes, Refaat will never die, his soul will live on in the words he shared and the way he touched people's hearts. Israel did nothing but cement his legacy. Remember Refaat, let his martyrdom be a symbol of hope for a Free Palestine, just like he wanted.

Here are some of the translations, more can be found in the twitter thread

And here is my translation in French :
Si je devais mourir
Vous devez vivre pour raconter mon histoire
Pour vendre mes affaires
Pour acheter un bout de tissu
Et quelques fils
(faites qu'ils soient blanc et long)

I keep posting this because it's important people see the tricks the US Empire will pull in order to ensure the occupation of Palestine doesn't end.
When Netanyahu is removed and scapegoated for the crimes Israel has committed, his more moderate replacement will go on a media tour in order to repair Israel's image in the West and a diplomatic tour in order to restore diplomatic relations with the countries that have recalled their ambassadors or cut diplomatic ties entirely. The genocide we're witnessing will be treated like a mild mistake that will never happen again (that Palestinians have brought on themselves). More money will be allocated to Zionist groups in the West to ensure that the public doesn't turn on Israel again.
Meanwhile, Palestinians will continue to get imprisoned, tortured and killed, only now without the world paying attention (just like what happened after the 2021 war). It's our duty as people who are pro Palestine to ensure that this fails. We need to make sure they don't sweep the genocide under a rug. We need to make that Western politicians and journalists don't clean the blood off their hands in the same way we've spent 45 days countering Israeli propaganda
i'm seeing people losing hope for palestine i'm begging you seriously please don't. the death toll is high but there are still people alive, there are still journalists risking everything to make sure the world sees what is happening. please continue protesting if you have the option to, keep demanding for a ceasefire and keep talking about palestinians both alive and dead. you have to keep going until the very end or else you really did fail them.

Mortality reporting is a crucial indicator of the severity of a conflict setting, but it can also be inflated or under-reported for political purposes. Amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza, some political parties have indicated scepticism about the reporting of fatalities by the Gaza Ministry of Health (MoH). The Gaza MoH has historically reported accurate mortality data, with discrepancies between MoH reporting and independent United Nations analyses ranging from 1·5% to 3·8% in previous conflicts. A comparison between the Gaza MoH and Israeli Foreign Ministry mortality figures for the 2014 war yielded an 8·0% discrepancy. Public scepticism of the current reports by the Gaza MoH might undermine the efforts to reduce civilian harm and provide life-saving assistance.
Using publicly available information, we compared the Gaza MoH's mortality reports with a separate source of mortality reporting and found no evidence of inflated rates. We conducted a temporal analysis of cumulative-reported mortality within Gaza for deaths of Gazans as reported by the MoH and reported staff member deaths from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), from Oct 7 to Nov 10, 2023. These two data sources used independent methods of mortality verification, enabling assessment of reporting consistency.
We observed similar daily trends, indicating temporal consistency in response to bombing events until a spike of UNRWA staff deaths occurred on Oct 26, 2023, when 14 UNRWA staff members were killed, of whom 13 died in their homes due to bombings (figure). Subsequent attacks raised the UNRWA death rate while MoH hospital services diminished until MoH communications and mortality reporting collapsed on Nov 10, 2023. During this period, mortality might have been under-reported by the Gaza MoH due to decreased capacity. Cumulative reported deaths were 101 UNRWA staff members and 11 078 Gazans over 35 days (appendix p 3). By comparison, an average of 4884 registered deaths occurred per year in 2015–19 in Gaza.

If MoH mortality figures were substantially inflated, the MoH mortality rates would be expected to be higher than the UNRWA mortality rates. Instead, the MoH mortality rates are lower than the rates reported for UNRWA staff (5·3 deaths per 1000 vs 7·8 deaths per 1000, as of Nov 10, 2023). Hypothetically, if MoH mortality data were inflated from, for example, an underlying value of 2–4 deaths per 1000, it would imply that UNRWA staff mortality risk is 2·0–3·9 times higher than that of the public. This scenario is unlikely as many UNRWA staff deaths occurred at home or in areas with high civilian populations, such as in schools or shelters.
this is so bleak… despite gaza ministry of health mortality figures being historically accurate across previous conflicts (and israeli government and media also using these same numbers publicly throughout this conflict) they are still not believed, so we have to use AID WORKER DEATHS as an "independent" "verifiable" control for civilians to prove that the numbers are accurate (and in fact likely underreported)
hi, i don't know if you've seen the statistics for the arab.org clicks but in the last quarter of 2023, they generated $380 for unrwa - not a huge amount in context of palestinians who need much more than that to leave gaza, but nobody had to donate those dollars. those were generated. and generally, they raise ~$100 per quarter, with most of it coming from their own bridging the gap of donations to make it worth it. i got curious and looked at the stats yesterday and just thought i'd point it out because i feel like people don't see the results of the "daily click" and maybe this would prove that it is actually well worth it. wishing you well <3
thank you anon, that’s a really amazing point!! here’s a reminder to do your daily clicks.

I've overheard a conversation where someone said that the palestinians deserve to be ethnically cleansed, easily some of the most cruel things I have ever heard.
Nobody deserves to go through a genocide. That shouldn't have to be said.
6 VERIFIED PALESTINIAN FUNDRAISERS WITH LESS THAN 10% OF THE MONEY RAISED (part 4)
I would like to bring attention to the fundraisers that are struggling to get any donations. Unfortunately they are a lot so I'm starting with ten of them. These are all verified by el-shab-hussein and nabulsi and you can find all of them, and many others, in this list.

Hello dear❤️
I'm Rasmi from Gaza supporting my wife, Eslam, and she a mother of two girls, Hanaa, 5 years old, and Alma, 11 months old.
We are all exposed to a genocide in which we lost our home, our work, our car, and 11 members of my family.
My children suffer from malnutrition and intestinal infections from living in the squalid tent😭
I’m not a beggar 💔 I had the most beautiful life, a wonderful, big home, and a respectable job. I hope that you will donate a little, 40$ or 50$ from each person. It will make a difference with me so that we can start a new life outside of the stricken Gaza.💔
Please donate or reblog the pinned post on my profile to save the lives of my two girls before it is too late 🥺

Hello my friends
I am Nour, I live in Gaza, I am 19 years old، This damned war broke out, it stole my dream, ambition, future, and home, and not only that, it forced me to be displaced repeatedly and to abandon my warm home and take refuge in a tent in the bitter cold against my will. After a period of time, I saw my destroyed home, of which nothing remained but rubble and stones. After storming my university and destroying some of its buildings, it became a shelter for displaced people. Believe it or not, when I was 19, some gray hair appeared on my head due to my intense fear of the sounds of bombs, missiles, and bullets, while I was in a tent made of cloth ⛺️💔
I still live in a tent until now, and in the midst of the intense heat, epidemics, insects, and unclean water.
I hope you will help me save my future and travel abroad so that I can complete my education and rebuild my hom

i've shared amal's gofundme (@amalashuor) several times, but i just received messages from her that broke my heart

amal is a 26 year old mother from gaza. she is an incredibly dedicated and loving mother to her year old daughter, maryam. before the war, she was studying to receive her masters degree in french language. on her instagram (@/amal_sufian97_) she shared beautiful photos of her life and family in the years before the war.

now amal, her husband, and maryam have been displaced several times and have nowhere to turn to. amal wishes to finish her degree, and both she and her husband want nothing more than a better life for their young daughter. every time i receive a message from amal, my heart is full knowing she is still alive, but it breaks for her suffering. i implore you, please donate any amount you're able to help amal and her family escape gaza. they deserve nothing less than safety, warmth, love, laughter, security, and life. as of july 6th, €1,025 / €30,000 has been raised. her campaign is also included on el-shab-hussein and nabulsi's spreadsheet of verified fundraiser (#175). if you're unable to donate, please share. i want nothing more than to give amal hope that she can provide a better life for her daughter.

I'm speechless with how the world is still turning. This continues to remind me how these- animals are even considered human with how inhumane they are. These are not human. They are monsters. At this point, I hope these innocent people are going to have peace soon.
The news keeps saying that “aid in Gaza is running dangerously” low, but with Israel seizing the Rafah-Egypt crossing there is literally nothing. That was the lifeline of Gaza. Now that Israel is encroaching on Rafah full force there’s nowhere for aid to go & people are dying a slow painful death
