Tuesday, November 30th: Hi everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill disaster, who is in desperate need of help as I'm struggling to pay my rent, and I don't receive my welfare until just after Christmas.
As most of you are already aware from my previous posts, I have been struggling financially these past few months due to my welfare benefit (Universal Credit) being under a review, which is due to my worsening mental health and the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. And at the moment, I'm currently struggling to get by, as my application for Disability (PIP) was declined and due to Covid, I have been waiting almost a year for an appointment for a WCA (Work Capability Asessment) from the DWP to assess my mental and physical health, and due to this, my debt from overdue bills is piling up.
I know this is a huge ask, and I'm completely heartbroken to be asking for help again, but I still urgently need some as I don't receive my welfare until after Christmas (December 27th) and I desperately need to pay my utilities and get groceries for Christmas. My rent is £300 + utilities/bills - £200.
Additionally I have a CHRISTMAS WISHLIST, some items are just silly wishes, but some stuff like dog food and blankets are essential for the winter, and I would appreciate it if anyone could have a look. Otherwise, my goal to get through Christmas and New Year is now £500-£600!! (please don't recommend reddit as I'm already trying there)
If anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would literally save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much as donations. As you know, the war began on October 7 and lasted ten months. During this period, we were unable to obtain food, drink, or treatment because we did not have money.
There is no source of income for the family at the present time, so we are unable to buy food, clean water, and medicine, especially after we are afflicted with the ongoing infectious diseases spread in the north like Hepatitis C disease.
Our house has been damaged a lot since the beginning of the war. We are from the north of Gaza and we are still in the north and have not displaced to the south. We displaced 10 times from place to another seeking to safety .

URGENT: FUNDRAISING FOR BREAST CANCER TREATMENT
I have tried my absolute best not to seek financial help online, especially when our collective focus should be aimed towards the welfare of our Palestinians, Congolese, and Sudanese brothers and sisters. I truly have considered countless options before resorting to asking for monetary assistance but I no longer have the means to keep myself alive and my little family afloat. Following my father's death almost three years ago due to colorectal cancer, I was diagnosed late last year with Stage 2A breast cancer.
There's an even elaborate explanation on the fundraising page that I will be attaching in this post. Please, take some time to read it. I am our family's breadwinner, and I am only asking for monetary assistance because I no longer have a job/source of income nor is my previous company willing to shoulder my medical expenses. I am left to fend for myself and I have used all of my savings to afford numerous physical/health examinations and the prescribed medication.
I am going to attach photos of how disfigured my right arm now is, the evident lumps/tumors on my armpits and if you want proof of how the cancer affected my breasts, please directly message me. I don't think I can explicitly share the photos here. But to put enough context, my left breast shrunk into at least 1/3 of its original size.
I am sincerely sorry for being a bother, but if you have the means to donate to my fundraising post, please do. I badly needed all the help I can get so I won't be summoned to court and would be able to afford surgery on time. If you cannot donate, please kindly share this post. hate to do this, but if you could maybe throw five or ten bucks my way, I really need it right now. bills have kicked my ass lately, every price of every thing is going up, and I had to change the dog's food and get her some fancy joint supplements, and gasoline is just. whoa. waiting for the weather to change so my electric bill will go down, but it's only barely changing here in FL and ughhhh. I was informed yesterday that I will have to buy my daughter's 'incontinence products' from now through December. my friends, I do not have this kind of money. it's not specifically Medicaid's fault, but a mixup with the support coordinator and different stock at the supply company we were using. we're not going to be able to use that company any more, but my daughter is approved to get their new, inferior stock through December, and THEN we can change and get something that DOESN'T LEAK and FITS HER.
