Amidst the sprawling dessert of Nikhali, you stood just across the beautiful Palace of illusions.
Decked up in red and a sparkling gold, resplendent like the sun that grinned coyly at you. Rays shimmered and drums rolled, pumping the hearts with a vigor; for unruly was this event of a lifetime.
One by one, passing through the line of the prosperous Kings lined up for the swayamvara. You refused to indulge anyone, seduction being an art you do not condon.
"Admired by the Kings, and yet the celestial beauty refuses to much less glance their way." Your maid-in-waiting ushers you to the next suitor, causing a slow ripel to the silence.
Swayamvara, a self-selection event where royal women get to choose and the men, compete to win her heart. May it be fighting or using wisdom to woo the heart of the lady. You, the Princess of the Kingdom of light are very much into the prime of her youth.
Entering the age of nineteen did open the doors of marriage proposals from all around the corners of the world.
You smile, eyeing the man that glimmers in rubies. Moving away, you speak "Beauty causes wars, it's a curse to be one."
"It's not when history pens you in golden words," The maid steps close, as the next Prince, who, by his nervous composure fails to amuse you.
It was boring, mind calculating at milliseconds, weighing the options being hard when all men had something that entices you "It looks as if he is more scared than the bride here."
Your maid's chuckle, entertaining the thought. "Earlier, he fell into the pond. Poor Prince."
You smile, the illusionary palace was crafted in mysterious ways. In avoiding the crystal clear water, he might have trudged along the other path. The carefully selected carpet made him a fool, beneath it being the pond made in jest to see whether the suitors were prepared or not.
"Stop laughing in his misery, the poor guy is already scared." You hush the onslaught of taunts, strewn across his neck like a chain of iron.
Behind you, the arena grumbled with the war cry of the two Kings. A sight for the citizens, the constant collision of swords now being a graveyard for the ones who watched in bated breath. Across the high stairs, stood your family. Regal and composed, eyeing every minuscule change in perfect serenity.
"I have personally crafted this piece, may the Princess accept it and let it be a part of her glory." Adam holds a sparkling necklace that makes you laugh in dirge.
You eye the piece, somewhere knowing its a trap. The sooner your skin touches it, the closer he will be to winning. "We will see,"
You move ahead, as a figure towers you. Not being fazed, you look up. Gaze falling on his gold robes, a perfect V line further elaborating the well-defined chest that swoons a lady with his power. He was pure muscle, giving off an aura that subdued your coldness to the point of melting.
"Lady," His tongue rolls, like a music wrapped in velvet. "A pleasure to meet you."
You nod to the Prince who gives a respectful bow, letting his knees touch the ground which is unusual for the customs of inequality frowning upon the obvious attempt. A man's ego is too vast to be anywhere below its counterpart. "Who is he?"
You whisper, not looking anywhere but him.
"The elder Prince of the Sun Kingdom. Kim Namjoon." You nod, squinting your eyes, only to quickly get back to your defiant look.
Namjoon gives you a sweet smile, his dimples enhancing his overall persona. What an absolute treat to the eyes.
"Don't you think by going down you have disrespected the rules of the society?" Your voice is cold, with no hint of amusement flickering in your eyes. In all seriousness, the tense atmosphere has now driven close. The arena behind you was silent, as the change of attention brought you to the centre.
Namjoon gets up, not reacting to your accusing tone, instead, he smiles. "To weigh respect based on gender is not something I believe in."
"So by bowing down, you accept my superiority?"
He shakes his head, "To respect a lady is not a show of superiority but a humble attempt to let you and the people know that you are not a trophy to be won." His words made you laugh, what a wise choice.
Your heart might be moved but it was the mind that resembles a creature on the hunt.
"Sweet words but not all clouds that thunder rains," You give him a clipped smile, moving to the next man.
If the previous one was handsome, the next one was no less than a beauty incarnate. The perfect proportion of his eyes and the plump lips could have deprived you of composure, if not for the crowd watching your move like a hawk.
"Prince Jin, Firstborn and the next King of the Sun Kingdom." You purse your lips, eyeing the man that tucks his head down in a curt manner.
Accepting his greetings, you eye his purple robes of exquisite royalty. "Do you think women's job is to only be in the kitchen and give birth to a boy?"
Jin purses his lips as if taking a moment to grasp the words. "No, not only she is to be present in every offering to the Gods but she also has a right to be a part of her husband's decision and also be the one who guides him and his family to greater heights of prosperity."
You hum, pinning him in a conspicuous look of swirling mirth.
Strength, Knowledge, Beauty, wisdom, discipline, truth, sympathy and an innate aura to be impartial in decision-making and be calm in face of the most troubling thoughts were what you were looking for. The number of times your family has called you out on the delusional traits, saying you were asking for too much was exhausting.
But a woman is allowed to dream, to hope and channel her expectations on the future.
One decision changes it all.
"So do you know cooking?" To which, Jin nods. Surprising you a little, but, you hold your ground.
You pass along, as the maid hurries to match your steps. "Jin is perfect, or might I add all the Princes of the Sun are?"
Gingerly, you tuck the tendrils of your jasmine-perfumed hair spun in a braid of ornamental decorations behind your ear. The sudden move inciting your ringlets of bangles to drop across your porcelain skin in chaotic madness. While a certain sunshine rains on you. Smiling brightly at your presence, he takes your hand. Planting a chaste kiss, you shiver. "Hoseok. Third Prince of the-
"Sun Kingdom." You complete, even though they all are brothers. Their acts and their actions were different, if not melodic to the ears.
He nods, in no hurry to let your hand go. "Your hands are cold." Squeezing your hand, he acts as if transferring the warmth straight to your heart.
It was if the questions that were ready to be bombarded on him was all in all lost into his crystal clear eyes. You blush, feeling shy at his care that had your heart speed up.
You hum, smiling at him as you pass to the next suitor.
Oh My.
"Don't you think sitting in front of the Princess is rude?" Your maid chides the man who sits on his allotted throne, taking a look at you, he hums as if approving you.
You stifle your need to roll your eyes, "Even the Sun Kingdom has its version of the solar eclipse." You mutter, as your maid chuckles at your choice of words.
"No, more like the icy mountains of the Himalayas. He is cold."
You nod, eyeing the man that groans. And stands up, once he concludes that you're not going away. Not until he starts talking.
"Nice to meet you, Princess." He speaks, voice strained in what you called reluctance.
His pale skin stood in constant battle with his very cold and calculating eyes of his. Like two globs of the ocean, representing the Marianna trench. Who knows what's beneath the darkened waters? Blessed with beauty, all are but looks could be deceiving.
"Name?" You ask him, as he replies with a flat tone. "Yoongi," you call as if testing the essence.
Yoongi blinks, annoyed as you stand. Eyes raking over his form, taking your own sweet time. "Do you think a man should be loyal to only one woman?"
"It's his choice but If you want my answer, then yes I am a one-woman man." Yoongi grins, seeing right through your jumble of words.
"Royal men see marriage as a political alliance, so can that be true in the case of royal women?"
Yoongi takes a moment to reply. "It's her choice, who am I judge?
You click your tongue, moving along as your maid huffs as if not pleased by the whole ordeal. "Why the long face, Anika?"
She groans, "All options are delectable, how are you holding?"
You smile, knowing where she is getting at. Frankly, you're like any woman. Weak for the handsome men that filled your palace grounds. You even would have given your heart a thousand times over, if not for seeing what lies under. Intentions, Kingdom and alliance- all are to be taken into consideration and as a woman, you want someone who will bring this to the table and deem you as an equal.
Not to mention the sidelong glances of the Princes whose lust overpowers their logic was now getting hard to reject.
"Let's not go there," You take a deep breath, gathering the expensive fabric of your dress, adorned and embroidered extensively in golden pleats of coils, as you steal some of its zeal to reduce the qualm presided by the event.
Opposite you, a man of innocent beauty chuckles. "At your service, Princess."
His voice was laced with flirt, picking or not was a choice but who were you to deny? "Jimin. Sun Kingdom," Your maid cuts in short, too tired of dragging the same sentence over and out.
You smile, lips pursed apologetically "Do you have any mistress?"
The bold statement, had the maid gasp beside you. Deeming it too early for something like that, which you ignore. Brushing the glance with a tight-lipped smile.
Jimin drags the silence, painfully slow. Biting his lips, your eyes wander to the same before quickly taking his eyes that flicker in amorous delight. "Have. Are you sad, perhaps jealous?"
You scoff at his choice of words, "A Mistress is a whore, a Queen is equal."
Passing through him, you fail to notice his eyes that darken at the sight of your dress that hugged your body in all the right places. If sin had a human name, then that would be you. Jimin chuckles. Your answer has caught him with an innate desire to have you.
Your answer was clear, there was no comparison between a mistress and a Queen.
The evening sun drags out, as the servants head in to distribute the suitors and the on-lookers with much-needed relief- a drink, some fruits and a sweetened dish. The Kings are awaiting, the Princes are sparring- mace, sword, arrow and bow being constantly asked for.
"How many are remaining?" You heave a sigh, looking behind to catch a wink from the King who had defeated the neighbourhood Prince in a match.
His body was sleek in sweat, muscles rippling as he showcased his strength. Eyes boring into you, snapping your attention back. You groan, how much more you have to tolerate. "Just two more, Taehyung and Jungkook of the Sun Kingdom."
You hum, going towards the said name.
He was breathtaking, his face as if carved by the Gods himself. Taking your hand, he plants a kiss on it and you swear, you swooned. His gaze was trapping you like a sail stuck in an ocean. "Prince Taehyung?"
He nods, his lips ghosting your flesh as he takes a step back. "A pleasure to meet you, My lady."
You nod, attention dragging towards his robes. How will it be to undress him?
Shaking your head, you ask. "So, are you here for a political alliance?"
Taehyung chuckles, "It's nowhere as important as you,"
Oh, he has a great way with words.
Your mind hums, as your heart drums. You nod, taking your leave as the next man comes into your view.
"Jungkook. Youngest of all the seven," Your maid speaks, a little louder, as the man nods in agreement.
"Nice to meet you, Princess." He bows ninety degrees, as you nod at him.
"Do you think satisfying a man in bed is only a women's task?" His face flushes, as your maid gasps at your question. Doing a retake to check whether her ears are ringing or not. But seeing Jungkook's red cheeks, she knew you were the culprit.
Getting over his obvious shock, Jungkook stares at you. "Satisfying you won't be a task, My lady. Trust me."
Now it was your turn to look at him, seemingly taken aback by his words.
Your maid laughs out loud, as you brush her off. Going away from the seven princes who seemingly watch your swan-like gait in part lust and part want.
If your parents thought you were done with your choice, then they were in for a surprise. You made a list of your desired Prince- a long one at that and made them fight among themselves. It was a sight to behold, the war cry clashing like thunder awaiting a doom-like rainstorm.
They fought, hither and thither. Left and right, defending and attacking.
At the end, they gave up. Letting the winners step up.
Your father smiles, "The remaining seven could fight among themselves, we want one winner."
Seated on the lush throne, you listened to all the gossip your mother shared with your sisters, if not that, the servants weren't much keen on the fight. Their attention was rather on the latest rumour flying across the palace.
Jin wipes the sweat off of his forehead, "Sorry, My King. But I won't raise a sword on my brothers."
You raise an eyebrow, as your father chuckles. "And why is that?"
For this, Namjoon steps up. "As a brother, my responsibility is to protect them. Not put them in harm in any way, I may be a warrior but I do draw lines when necessary. My morals won't allow it."
When all the seven princes had the same say, your father glanced at you.
Telling you to choose, right now.
Standing, you briskly walk up to him. "I choose all of them."
You watch as all the seven princes' eyes widen at your choice. The traits that you're looking for in your husband are present in all of them, if not one. So why not have all of them? But the question is if they refuse then you have to turn up and choose Adam. Other than the Sun Kingdom, if any other King is worthy of an alliance from the Light Kingdom then it's him.
Your parents have made sure you remember his face.
"If they agree, this alliance is fixed. If they don't, then they can very well go back to their Kingdom." You further elaborate, as your gaze sharpens in like to a hilt of a sword in quest of flesh, even as you gingerly tuck your veil in act of newlyweds.
While the whole arena falls into a deadly silence.

"Outrageous." Their advisor, Khala sternly gave a firm rejection.
It wasn't long before the whole arena had a smoke of doubt filling their lungs, their mind reeling at your decision which was ridiculous, if not stupid. Women can't have more than one husband. It was an unspoken law, and giving it up was wrong. If not sin in the society's eyes.
Your father fumes, "What are you saying?"
From behind, your mother comes, her pace quick. Holding your arms, she pulls you back. "Have you gone mad," she hissed, poison dripping in it.
Even though, somewhere your heart was thudding at the reaction. You very well knew, what you want? This whole event was only kept for your future husband. And if you don't get to have a say and present your voice then what point it had. "Didn't Goddess Seira had five husbands? What's wrong if I want to add two and have seven?"
Your father, pinches the bridge of his nose. As if holding his anger that is seconds from the tip of his sword. You know, it was a stupid move but your eyes refuse to look at them. Instead it moves to the seven princes who are yet to have any say.
"Mortal and goddess have no comparison." A King who you recognise as Liam puts his thought, as you roll your eyes.
"Well, the reason for calling you all was for selecting my groom. Now that I did it, all are suddenly against me. As I said, my interest lies in all the seven men. All have enamoured me with some nor the other qualities. If I were to select one and carry on the alliance, what guarantee will it be that being in the same house as theirs will not have me thinking about the others as any less than the princes who tried to get my favour." You pause, gauging the reaction of the people. It confirmed your doubts, that atleast they were willing to hear your side before coming to a conclusion. "I have to be their sister-in-law who is considered equivalent to a mother. Now the question is, would they see me as a mother figure If I were to be their Kingdom's Queen. Won't that be difficult or did the King of the Sun thought it would be nice to have more options. Just in case, the chosen Prince gets rejected. As far as I know, we only invited one suitor. Not seven."
Tension surged the arena, as the crowd took a hearkens breath to release the meaning behind your words. You see Jin shake his head, ready to counter your words but before he could. Khala comes in, "Princess, I think the situation is more of your dilemma than theirs."
You grimace, "It isn't like the one I chose are not worthy of an alliance."
Jin is silent. Too silent, as his brothers can do nothing but watch the arena becoming a court where everyone is bombarding the Princess with their set of questions and why all this is so wrong?
To be Frank, he doesn't even know that a women can have more than one man. Though, he had heard the tale of the goddess who loved all five Gods. But never have society taken that as an ideal for a women. He could tell, by the way some women threw disgusting glances at the royal family.
Some were appalled at the thought, while some shuddered as if even thinking about it was a sin. The King was furious, and he knew this will not end well for the eldest princess and even if the event was to be pulled off once again. The rumours about her will be too far fetched to even think of retrieving her honour.
An unwed Princess was the last thing a kingdom needs, either you will be thrown out or locked away from the rest of the world. Forgotten at once.
Jin knew that a royal family had every right to detain you for this. Heck you would even be forced into a mental asylum, declared as someone who is suffering mentally. He knew how dirty royals could get, even their own family would hardly matter in front of the citizens. Uprooting their image would be foremost priority.
"We have to do something," he whispers, even as the others pick up his words.
Namjoon sighs, "She can't expect us to be okay with sharing her, it's stupid that she even thought of this." While the others chose not to speak, which only told about their decision. They weren't ready to be your husbands. Much less share you on grounds of marriage. It was unheard of, it seemed bizarre. Almost impossible yet here they all are.
Jin knows, you were one stupid fool. But now they don't have any time for that. Which brought him to the most dreaded conclusion. He knows, their Kingdom needs an alliance. The south province is not to be taken lightly, your family's ancestors have some of the most legendary fighters. One that had made its way to the history of the Sun.
Not only your great-grandfather had supported them in the war against their enemies, but they have also shaped their nation who was on brink of getting invaded. It was the reason, why their Kingdom is always on your side. But to strengthen this bond, his father has especially told him to bring an alliance.
Cause strategically and geographically your kingdom is the most sought after. Not only it is near the banks of the largest river, but it also has a long history with no invasions from the other countries. Your kingdom's influence on culture, language and art is noteworthy. Which means, he has to take a decision. One that will shape his nation's future.
Either in a good or a bad way. Only time can tell that.
"Take her away, we had enough." King's voice crashes the ongoing match to a standstill.
He had to be quick, "I accept this alliance. It would be an honor to have Princess Y/N as our wife and the future Queen of our Kingdom." His answer had Namjoon whip his head, so fast that he was afraid he would have a sprain in his neck.
Yoongi scoffs, "I don't remember saying yes to this shit."
Jin glares at him, which silences him and the others who were ready to throw hands and back away from this whole trap.
Your father looks at Jin, gone were the kind expression from earlier. The one in front of them was a force to reckon with, "You do know what your saying? As the rule suggests, backing away from this alliance would mean instant death."
Jungkook and the others gasp, their mind reeling at the thought of death. In which book was it written that if they don't wanna accept the deal, which they never did except Jin; would result in instant death. Namjoon sighs, having long seen past the facade. The King is making sure they do not back away and nor you stay in here.
As soon, as the garlanding procession is done. They are gonna be waved off.
Your standing dumbfounded, though your glad that the seven accepted the deal. It wasn't long before the priest was called for the vows and a garland of flowers were pushed upon you by the servants who hauled you down the moment their King started shouting orders.
It was chaos, in all the wrong way.
You were hurried like no other, so much that you didn't even have time to properly greet your new husbands. Your belongings were packed, the dowry having been already given alongside you who could only stare back at your father and mother. Their expressions were neutral, as you hoped. No tried to gauge anything but failing to do so, you eye your sisters who have emotions ranging from absolute confusion to grief. Even a hint of anger.
Of course, they were angry at you for pulling this stunt at such a grand event.
The entire ride, you had to sit stiffly. Your maid Anika was with you, which was a relief.
"Congrats, you have made history." She chuckles, even at the face of the death you had dodged so narrowly.
You scowl, pinching her arm as she yelps. The sudden pitch in her tone startling you, as the palanquin comes to a halt. Giving her a glare, you mouth 'all because of you' to which she gives you a huff. Refusing the accusation with a firm shake of her head.
"Is there a problem?" You heard a voice, as whoever is beyond those curtains was patient. Better than the one you had come to know, if not unveil.
Clearing your throat, as best and as quiet as you can. You speak, "No, I was a bit startled when my maid tried to help me unpin my hair." Coming up with an excuse, you apologise to whoever it is.
If you were to be true, you really don't know whether the Princes who you have chosen as your Husbands are gonna be the same as the first impression you had of them. Namjoon is a gentleman, as far as you now. Jin is patience, Hoseok is sweet, Yoongi is ice cold but has great morals. Unlike some Kings. Taehyung and Jimin are so handsome. But it was the youngest who had your mind reeling. Your last conversation was of him pulling your trick back at you. And God, was it embarrassing.
"Okay, Princess." The voice speaks, and before you know the palanquin has come to a halt.
Anika is the first one to get out, telling you to be inside. It wasn't long before she comes back, "Princess, His highness thinks they should stop for a while."
You nod, body aching to stretch already. "Is my tent ready yet?"
Anika smiles, "Yes it is, there's a river nearby. Do you wish to go there?"
You nod, eager to have some cool water. Anika slides the curtains off as you tuck your veil, making sure your face is covered entirely. It was a rule that as a bride your face shall be covered all the time. It was annoying, especially when the hot weather couldn't have any mercy on your body that is suffering from the onslaught of the dress.
Up above, the sky glitters in myriad gems poised as small diamonds. The moon in its full glory reckoning a sight deemed as bizarre nobility.
A group of maids trail behind you as you inch closer, ears picking up the sound of running water. It was soothing, and so you didn't wait to dip your hands. Splashing the water across your face, the servants helped in removing some of your jewelleries.
"Finally, I can breathe freely." You groan, as Anika massages your stiff shoulders.
She chuckles, smoothing down the crease of your veil. "You can go and change in your tent. Until then, I will see how the preparations of food is going?"
You nod, stomach grumbling at the thought of food. Followed by the maids, you move towards the tent but a guard stops you before you could take any step further. "I heard, that the Princess has chosen seven husbands?" The man's wicked grin, boils your blood as you stop your servants who were ready to give him a lesson for even thinking of talking to you in a disrespectful manner.
You can handle him.
Raising an eyebrow, you refuse to reply as he chuckles. His height and strong muscles would not intimidate you. "Why don't you show me how you will please them whor-
His words are cut short, as a sharp attack befalls on his private part. You bend your knee as the said guard falls down, clutching his dick as if it was the most precious possession. "You were saying?" You raise an eyebrow, chuckling over him. "Give him 200 strikes and yeah, rub salt on his wound."
Barking orders at the guards who arrived after hearing the commotion, you leave as the maids tie the guard up. His shrills of anger getting ignored, "Bastard."
You mutter, nose flaring at his blatant disregard of your status. What's so wrong in wishing more than one husband? Didn't the royal men did the same, heck even your father had three wives. And that Adam, that cruel bastard had ten wives and yet he wished to have you.
There were so many loopholes in this tradition of self-groom choice. It was pathetic that royals who looked no less than uncles and a dad of ten were also participating. Adam was rumoured as a cruel royalty, someone who got pleasure in ravaging his property. His wives being at the forefront of it all. But his Kingdom was far more important, and so parents were okay by ignoring him in quest of the privileges that comes with the alliance.
Of course, you were against it but it isn't like destiny can work in your favour.
But atleast, you were able to bend that and change the course in your advantage.
"Princess, are you Okay?" A concerned voice had you whip your head.
It was Taehyung. He looked good, changed into his silk white robes. You bit your lips, atleast you are not regretting your choice. What society says is not your problem. "I am, it wasn't that of a big deal. Anyways."
You shrug, as Taehyung shakes his head. "No, it is. He can't go on spewing nonsense, I will make sure he gets punishment."
You don't speak, letting him do whatever he deems fit. Taking his leave, soon after assuring you, your hauled back to a much needed bath. Anika helps you in removing your clothes as you take a seat on the wooden plank.
Body shivering as you lay bare and vulnerable. "I hope the water is hot."
Anika chuckles, untangling your hair with the comb. "Prince Hoseok made sure that the guards filled the buckets with warm water. Isn't he caring?"
You smile at her words, eyes roaming across the vast tent that shimmers under the moonlight. Lamps lit the bathing space, enough to make your fear of darkness flee from sight.
"I just hope no one barges in while I am bathing." You grumble, eyes moving back to the entrance which is heavily covered in bright red curtains, yet the seed of doubts made it hard to relax.
Anika laughs, smothering the expanse of your arms in turmeric paste. "Rest assure Princess, Our servants and guards are outside. No one will come in, you just relax and enjoy your bath."
You huff, hands pressed on your thighs as Anika works on scrubing your body. Soon after rubbing the paste off of you, your sighing. Even moaning when the warm water falls on you, gliding down your skin in a perfect rhythm. "It feels good." After your bath is done, your quick to wear a silk red robe. Tired wouldn't even begin to explain your condition, you can't even open your eyes. Much less think about eating.
So it wasn't surprising for Anika to have you hurrying back to your tent, where your fast to pull the covers and drown in slumber.
Namjoon frowns, when he doesn't see you with them. Food was already served and you were nowhere to be seen, "Brother, Where is Y/n?"
At this, Jin replies. "She is sleeping,"
Jungkook frowns, "She must be tired then?"
To which Taehyung nods, popping a raspberry into his mouth. The rest of their dinner went silent, apart from Hoseok discussing about moving at the early dawn while Yoongi is in his own world. Somewhat dreading how their parents and people would react to this marriage. He knows, everyone is particularly avoiding that topic. He doesn't even know how you can even sleep in such a tensed moment?

Morning arrived with an icy serenade, beckoning a series of natural phenomenon. One that makes you chuckle, the breeze was cool. You slide the curtains, poking your head to take a look at the passing trees.
A yawn slips past your lips, you had to leave early. And so your maid had to literally force you out of bed, considering what a heavy sleeper you are. It wasn't a shock, when Jimin had to personally come to wake you up.
How embarassing.
You purse your lips, "I can't sit more, why don't we walk instead?"
Jimin chuckles, "Already?"
You look out, as his horse moves just beside your palanquin. "Yeah, it's not that comfortable in here."
You were okay with travelling but for long hours, sitting in one place without an absence of activity had your body ache like anything. Even last night's rest could not bring any relief. It also didn't help when you felt sleepy, the combination of your low state irritating you to hell and back.
"You can come and ride with me, Princess?" Jimin offers, as you weigh down the option.
It was still time before you reach the Kingdom and so with that in mind, you give him a firm nod, entertaining the thought.
Jimin orders the guards to pull the palanquin down, getting out. You and Anika heave a sigh of relief.
She decides to walk along the other servants while you take hold of Jimin's hand and following his instructions. You towed your right feet onto the stirrup, pushing your body up; leaving the rest upto Jimin who hauled you up, hoisting you against his chest.
If not for your heavy dress, you would have preferred your legs on either side. This position was scaring you, so it wasn't your fault when you clutched to Jimin for dear life.
"Hold tight if you don't want to fall, Princess." His teasing voice, had you roll your eyes.
Taehyung and Jimin follow behind you as Jin and Namjoon are in the forefront. It wasn't long before Yoongi and Hoseok join you.
"I hope Jiminie is not disturbing you too much," Hoseok smiles, as you laugh with a shake of your head.
"None that I can't handle."
You could hear Jimin scoff, even as a playful fight ensues between the two. Soon, silence hung across the very air you breathe in. A few handful of hours and you will be inside the Sun Kingdom and the way the Princes are looking at each other with wary glances.
You know, whatever will greet you there won't be pleasant and neither it will be kind.
By now, the King must have heard about your scandalous act. If there's anything that spreads fast than a forest fire then its a rumour. A true one at that is no joke. But you remind yourself, your a royalty. If being a royal has taught you anything, then it's using and bending situation like this up to your advantage.
Your prepared, if not ready.
Bring it on.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder
The golden palace being a sight even for the God of architecture. Laden in supreme wealth, it lures the imagination to the exotic luxuries it beholds within it. The Kingdom vows bliss, variant types of jewellery and prestige to govern you. But you know, it would be humiliation that will command you.
And so it wouldn't be a surprise when there was no celebration, no drum rolls or the excited squeals of the citizens. As they await your sight with bated breath, no, instead the silence lays heavy onto the deserted road that now symbolises death.
But tolerance was something that you as a royal women was born with, and so you grabbed the chance to poke your head out and take a look at the flourishing Sun Dynasty.
Rebellious. It was in your very blood and so it wasn't a surprise for you. A women to have such reactions from the community. Not the very first time nor it was the last. People say that a women's next life starts the moment she is a married- which means your reborn but are you really?
For birth itself signifies leaving behind the ties of the previous life, cutting off everyone; it is the complete detachment of the senses and utter naivety of a child. But the thing is, no human can undo what it has learn. For going back means changing the laws itself, and you would be damned if you became just what they want you to be. A sacrificial lamb.
Like the eyes of a hawk- they watch your move but make sure to not let you have a look. Typical society.
"I don't think we are welcomed here?" Your maid mutters, concern lurking in her eyes.
You tuck your veil, enticing the ringlets of bangles to drop in chaotic madness. "A temporary happening," you shrug, not deeming it fit for any attention.
In a mere handful of seconds, your passing through the enormous gates of the Sun Palace. But dare you try to search its end- and the sun blares your vision. Not wishing to lit a fire of any rumour, you hide behind your protection of a veil. Something that hides you but also lets you have somewhat of a control on your facial expressions.
The last thing you want is to trip and make a fool out of yourself.
The palanquin comes to a screeching halt, as a line of guards surround it. Forming a small protection or was it. Being still, you hear some voices- particularly of Jin and Namjoon. They are talking in hushed whispers, and so it was impossible for you to hear.
Slipping the curtains, you step out even though Anika tugs at your heavily embroidered skirt, that shimmers under the attention of the Sun like tiny diamonds. Ignoring her valiant attempt to keep you behind, you walk smoothly towards the Princes who seem to be in a heated debate with a guard whose attire screams of a status. Not someone ordinary for the way he reprimands Jin was a sign.
"How could you bring doom to our Kingdom? Have you forgotten all your teachings." His voice, like iron strikes them and for a second. You flinch, fingers curling across your veil to get rid of the tiny fear that lurks on the surface.
"Sire, Present us to court if you really wish no harm on your dynasty." You speak, voice halting any further talk.
He glares at your insolence, "Are you threatening us?"
You shake your head, chuckling at his meagre thoughts that only seemed to amuse you. "I merely want to dispel the misunderstanding that might I say, is infuriating."
"She even speaks poison." He hisses, and if you continue speaking like that, he might as well burst like a volcano. But in face of the haunting danger, you stand poised and regal. Showing no signs fear and weakness. If anything, you held your head high. Even the disruption of the veil cannot dim the fire burning in your gaze. You know your worth and status very well.
And in front of this special guard, your status is far too superior. "When using a weapon, you must be careful. I don't think Sun Kingdom can handle the Eagle." You smile, even as his face contorts into something inhuman.
He stills at your threat, as if not believing you could even bring that. The Eagle signifies your Kingdom, and by saying that. Your indirectly threatening him to hold his tongue, otherwise take the wrath of his actions. Your neither some close relative of his, nor are you someone who he can control with whatever nonsense he spews.
"Enough, Y/n." Jin calls you, even as the others watch you with interest. Your not only a strange women but an interesting one at that.
You nod, stepping away from the crow. "As you wish, My darling husband."
Jin chokes, his cheeks heating up as Namjoon clears his throat. Clearly not understanding your moods. "What business can you have in the court?"
You grin, not giving away anything. "Let's find out, shall we?"
With that, you move along. At your departure, Anika hurries out as if caught on fire but not before profusely bowing down to everyone the Princess might have offended while tailing behind you who is far too gone to heed the words of 'wait' or 'stop'.
Taehyung sighs, "She doesn't even know where the court is."
Yoongi scoffs, "She infuriates me."
Jungkook chuckles, "And she amazes me."
Hoseok smiles, "She enchants me just like the moon enchants the chakor bird."
Jin groans, fed up with the whole drama. "Namjoon go quickly and see she doesn't go the wrong way."
Namjoon is ready to say no but one look from Jin and he is hurrying.
You pass through the inner quarters that is filled in carved paintings of the ancestors, an equitable dome size ceiling acting as a facade for those who look on outside, hell for those who fell inside. Atleast on your part.
You take in every route, eyes committing to detail. Humming softly, you ignore the looks of the maids that erupt in chaos. Stumbling out of your way, but your eyes don't see them. It's instead watching the palace, the various routes and the confusion as to how will you examine every corner was already a stressing thought on your part.
"Anika, I think my adventures might start again." You risk looking back, the sulking face of your companion seemingly working in diminishing your entire mood "Is something the matter?"
"Your acting strange, Princess." She points out, even as you exhale. The short action, causing the veil to flutter to an inch.
Others call it a mistake. You call it your greatest gift. Your a staunch worshipper of the Gods, even if the rumours often depict you as a wild princess who loves exploring everything. Someone who has a bad temper and an equally bad tongue that works no less than a sword. "Why do you think I chose suitors from here?"
Anika, your childhood companion contemplates your words, carefully weaving her explanation "In order to be freed from Prince Adam and his constant threat on you. But Princess, Seven husband is still too much."
You hum, recalling the bitter man who not only was a thorn but a constant reminder of what was to be done, in order to escape him.
"That only time will reveal." You chuckle, as hurried steps of someone nearing you halted your thoughts. Looking back, you see Namjoon who might you add is very irritated. He might as well scold you just like that guard.
"Arrogance is not for a lady, Y/n. The court is not in that direction," he seethes, cheeks poking out with the enormous depth of his respite for you.
Shrugging, you speak nonchalantly at the accusation, "I am not used to people speaking disrespectfully to me, so tolerate my self-respect in garb of arrogance."
Namjoon scowls even as you continue looking around. It wasn't long, before he tells you to 'follow him ' and follow you do. Your head is slightly aching from all the events. Body and feet screaming for some relief but you know, it isn't possible. Not until you meet the King.
Silence.
Complete silence is what your met with. The court, a magnificent sight of splendor and authority was cold, calculative and unforgiving. Up above the stairs, was a throne poised in various gems of priceless beauty. It was familiar to your own Kingdom but alas being a stranger instilled a flinching moment of loneliness.
How you were faraway from your homeland, representing your clan, your upbringing which suddenly had your shoulders weigh more than than an elephant.
"Princess of the Light Kingdom. Future Queen Of the Sun Kingdom and the-" The speaker halts, giving a double take at the letter addressed to the King. "Common wife of the Seven Princes. Lady Y/N," His voice trails off, eyes flickering back to the King who shows indifference to the word spoken.
Seeing no reactions, the servant continues. "With her comes a grand dowry of nearly five lakh elephants, two lakh noble horses, ten thousand maidservants and fifty thousand warriors of the higher status—a thousand sword, diamonds, gold jewels, a persion robe of the finest quality, — and a beautiful daughter whose beauty is compared to that of the celestial Goddess." You try hard not to laugh at the lost look of the servant who nearly skips a whole paragraph, somewhat sensing the impatience of the King.
"Seokjin, how does it feel sharing your wife with your brothers." His voice is dripping in sarcasm, as Jin stiffens at the mere thought of it turning a vivid reality.
Jin bows down, "Father. You said—
King laughs, clapping his hands in mock sympathy. "What a great son I have. Do you expect me to praise you when the people are laughing at your poor decision."
You bow down, as a sign of respect. "Your Majesty, it is not his but my decision of choosing them all. Please do not speak ill of him, the people's view is a temporary happening. It will settle as soon as the trade between the two nations bring prosperity to the land. And as far as I think, I have done a favour by marrying them."
Namjoon and Yoongi stiffen at your words, eyes scrutinizing their father who is anything but pleased.
King's trusted Advisor scoffs at your choice of words, "You could have done that by choosing one, not seven."
King hums, his eyes as cold as the Himalayas. You might as well die from the frostbite, "Explain this favour of yours."
You nod, "I have heard that the seven Princes are more likely to divide the country rather than unite them. No one wishes to rule, even Jin. The eldest wants to marry not for the nation's prosperity but to produce an heir as quickly as possible so when time comes. He could very well go back to his mistress of a servant he so endearingly calls beloved."
Jin glowers at your blatant disregard, "Who are you to say that?"
Ignoring him, you say. "And the same scenario is for Yoongi. Their mothers have already left you because of reasons I do not know. It isn't long before their minds are poisoned and this carefully crafted nation crumbles. Me choosing them is not out of love or some sympathy, it is only for our past relations. Now my King, your letter did significantly tell to give a solution for this problem and so I have merely stopped your other sons from leaving the kingdom by tying them with a bond that forces them to their duty. A little tricky solution but nonetheless effective."
Your voice halts, as your eyes flicker across the princes whose face morphs into that of a confusion and then a burning fury.
Yoongi steps in, "Oh, so that means your not gonna let us live peacefully."
"On cost of your duty, Nope."
He stomps his foot, fingers curling into iron fists but you smile at his act of defiance. Only edging him to the flames of destruction, one that you do not fear.
Jin gives you a hard look, "Already working for my father, I see."
King claps his hand, "Though your method is a little unconventional but don't you think, this will backfire. The citizens won't support this at all costs."
"But what if you show them how important my stay in here is. Maybe have a grand celebration and a dash of some story- a rumour about how our wedding is blessed by the Gods. And you have the citizens at your feet." You convey your intentions, knowing foul play was very important to get the trust and faith of the people. Their emotions ran on the King's thoughts and if he accepts then everyone will. Simple as that.
"I must say, I am impressed by your knowledge and shrewdness." King is quick to be on the boat, showering you in a string of praises and as a wedding gift you even receive the East wing palace.
"Go back and have some rest. All of you."
The court is soon dismissed, but not the Princes. They are busy arguing their father; which you don't wanna hear.
And so you depart, meeting Anika halfway through the exit.
"So, is that true. You seriously want us to trap in here, don't you?" Gone was the gentle Prince, Jin was fed up with the act. He was seething inside, so much that he wished to destroy anything and everything.
He, out of pity helped you but you didn't even deserve an ounce of it. He wants to badly take revenge, do anything to wipe that triumphant smirk off of your face. You fooled them and now dare to call his lover with such disdain. How would he now face her? What would he say? That now their forever is ruined- all because of you. A pathetic excuse of a Princess.
King gives him a pitiful look, one that only fuels his rage. "If you had taken your responsibilities seriously, you would have easily caught onto her act. Too bad, now your in too deep to escape."
All through his life, he has hated his father and wanted nothing more than to be away from here. But no, it won't happen now. The only reason he attended the self-groom choice was to have you select Namjoon or anyone except him. Heck he even made Namjoon be extra respectful towards you but no. At the end, it's him who was a fool.
"How could you be so heartless." Yoongi glares upto him, his own emotions doing no good.
"No one is superior to the crown, the throne, the people and the Kingdom. Now, it would be great if you all have a great start with your wife. Only wife." He stresses onto the end words like some warning which only fills dread into the pit of their stomach.
Warning them from the thought of having any relation out of this marriage.
It took over a month for the citizens to finally accept you. The King had threw in a grand celebration for your arrival, golds and food were distributed for free; alongside a month long festivity whose splendor was rumbling against the four walls for quite a long time.
The Palace that you had gotten as a gift was a sight to see. Your maidservants were constantly working up to keep the place sparkling clean, for you adored it very much. It gave you peace and quiet, something that you loved more than anything.
The Princes hardly visit you, except, waving happily in front of the citizens that gather for a glimpse of your extraordinary marriage.
Jin and Yoongi hate you. That much you know, and their influence is equally rubbing onto their younger brothers who are merely a puppet of the elders. Too bad, your not fazed in the slightest. What they do is none of your concern? Your happy, in peace and finally free of your parents who were literally hot on your trail for what. A marriage which is already done.
Popping another grape into your mouth, you sigh. "Anika, could you bring my shawl. It's suddenly cold in here."
You huff, trying to shield your body with the veil. Laziness has been something you often enjoy, especially now that you don't have a bickering mother and an equally taunting sisters. You love them to death but sometimes you just wish to lock them up and have some peace. Be lazy without anyone hurling insults at you.
Anika nears you, glaring at your sprawled out form. You haven't even covered your modesty, throwing the shawl on you. She sighs, "Will anyone think your a bride? Who even wears this— what are you, an old lady." Pressing onto your cotton garb, she tchs in disgust.
You pout, rolling away from her. "See, I want some—
She cuts you off rudely, "Peace, I know but this much. All day your inside the inner quarters and there, the Princes are going through so much. Do you even know, Jin got hurt today during sword fighting. You should be there, not here okay."
You roll your eyes, dropping the book you were reading. A yawn slips past your lips, even as Anika continues to scold you like your mother. "See, his lover is there to care for him. I don't see the need to waste my time when I can rest here."
Anika, snatches the book that you were gonna take. "No, get ready and out. The King will be there too so please get your act together."
"Oh, I see. You should have said that then." You sigh as a group of handsmaiden glide across the floor in anklet adorned feet, hauling you towards the inner quarters where a warm bath filled with milk and perfume oils anticipates your arrival. After bath, you were once again decked up like a bride.
A bait for the Prince who is more likely to kill you rather than heed your beauty.
Staring into the mirror, in a familiar detachment. You eye your form, even as the maids work to infuse your tresses in a smoke like perfume. Anika settles in watching your neutral expression, the maids shortly after taking your leave.
"Rainy season will arrive soon, it would be nice if some warm clothes are made for both of us." You stand up, raising an eyebrow at your companion who gives a thumbs up to your look.
Anika hauls you outside, feet padding against the silent quarters. "Please, do not say or do anything that will piss the eldest Prince."
"I won't, unless he won't."
She chews her bottom lip, looking at you with a doubtful look. It wasn't like you had to act like some good wife or some damsel in distress. You were quite content with your husbands.
Though at the start you were taken aback by how can you stop all of them from leaving. Unless, you marry them which wasn't even your idea. It was just an action you did out of pure desperation to not let your great-grandfather down. Your family had to eventually act like they were hating you. Adam would have done anything to get you, and being as stubborn as you are. If you needed protection from his advances in future, a more powerful kingdom would have to aid you.
Did your parents know about Adam? Except that he is a pure gentleman, no. Only you knew how much of a monster he was, to you he was like a creepy man awaiting to just ravish you as soon as your in his hand. Which you would have been, if you hadn't taken the letter of the 'Sun King' .
Sacrifice. It was not unheard of.
Royals had to sacrifice everything for the sake of the nation. And your family was someone who lived for the people, not for themselves. Love, relations. Everything was secondary in front of the people. Of course, it's cruel. You know that.
But as a Princess, you can't undo your responsibilities. Rather than wallowing in pain by marrying Adam, you had rather stay here. Of course, you pity the Princes who have to live like this. But it isn't like your a villian who would kill their lovers and act like some possessive wife.
Nope. Your a very nice person.
Most of the times, atleast.
Four maids trail behind you as a few guards lead you towards the eldest Prince's quarters. You didn't know what to expect, but the Prince had a different thought.
As soon as you enter, your met with the sight of the Prince heavily making out with a servant. You deem her as his lover. No sign of the King, hmm. You look back, seeing none of the maids had followed you in. Not even Anika. Great. You got fooled.
You look back at them, well here goes nothing. "Judging by your state, I think your injury is not that fatal." Your voice startles the maiden who jumps away from Jin, as if he was some kind of a traitor.
The maiden bows down to you, her shivering form not fazing you in the slightest. Your eyes follow back onto jin, his upper body wrapped in cloth. "I didn't expect you here." His voice is like thin ice, any second he might break in some crazy fit you do not wish to be a part of.
"Expectations kills, it's a sin to hope one." You smile, no joy permeating your eyes.
Jin looks away, not wishing to see you. Which is fine. Not that your dying for his attention. "You can go, I am slightly busy."
You chuckle, looking at the maiden from head to toe. She stiffens at your gaze, her tattered clothes making you pity the Prince. The Palace must have been cold enough to drive him into the arms of a servant. He reminds you of one of the stories you have read back into your father's Palace.
"Don't, I will only go." The maid speaks, even as Jin whips his head fast enough to shout at her.
"No, you won't. If anyone has to leave then it's her."
"Oh well" You give a mock laugh, leaving him to his devices. On reaching out, your met with Anika who is way too excited. "So, did you two talk?"
You smile, "Yes, he gave me a show of how to kiss your lover like a shameless fellow. And now I might have to take a holy bath."
Anika blinks, "What!"
You mirror her expression, moving away, as pangs of hunger attack you. Not that you hadn't eaten, it's just one of the random moods of your stomach that now demands something sweet. Looking at one of your maids, you speak. "I am hungry."
A maid, shuffles closer. "My Lady, we will bring whatever you need."
You look at Anika who is occupied in chatting with the other maids. You internally scoff, atleast someone is enjoying here. Unlike you, who literally has no friends except her. And she is busy making new ones already. A pinch of jealousy makes your eyes glare at the unsuspecting maids, a mere slip before you gain your composure back.
"I need sweet rice pudding."
"We will have it delivered into your quarters, My lady." Saying that she departs with the maids. Leaving the guards and Anika right beside you.
"I am bored now." Crossing your arms, you look at your friend who is very well accustomed to your mood swings. Today, it seems to be at its peak.
"That happens when you rest too much." She takes a jab at you, earning a glare from you.
"I might as well go and rest. My book is waiting." At your words, Anika shakes her head violently. As if letting you back inside the palace would be a very bad idea. Atleast for her. For you, it's a great way to spend the evening.
The brewing drama between the Princes and the King was a gossip hub for the maidservants. You would get the latest news in mere seconds of it happening, and what would you do? You listen, of course.
The King doesn't even call for your presence, it's only limited to the citizens.
As for your royal duties, it's mainly done from your inner quarters. But most of the times, you have to be out only. You have to decide what food will be prepared, you have to even be there to personally check and see that the food is up to mark. Then have the tasters test them in presence of the general and then you have to see whether the cleaning of the palace has been done. Which part of the palace needs renovation and all the inner matters of the maids are to be reported to you. Which is in itself a task and so you literally do not even have time to think about your husbands.
At the start of this month only, you got a task from the King himself.
He wishes to renovate the second floor of the Palace. All the responsibilities of that task has been dumped on you, workers would soon pile in from tomorrow. Which means, you have to finalize the structure and give a thumbs up for the work to finally commence.
You won't have a good day tomorrow.
That's for sure.
As soon as you will be free from your duties, you will jump inside your bed and take a long rest. Yup, that's the plan.
"We are going to the gardens, no ifs and no buts." Anika presses, pulling you into the opposite direction.
You let her stubborn ass drag you into a much open area, the maids passing through giving you a respectful nod. Even the guards hold their weapons down, giving you a bow. It was customary, your status being no less than that of the Princes. It only made you be more careful, amidst so many eyes. Some mishap is bound to happen.
"My Lady," The gardener hurries as soon as he sees you, "-are you here to enjoy the gardens."
You look at Anika, nodding. "Yes, a walk might be good."
The Gardener nods as he calls some of his assistants to assist you, defending his views by saying that they would make sure you don't get lost. Even though you wish to be left to your own devices, the excited old man would hardly hear it. And you do not wish to come off rude so you let him do what he thinks best.
Walking alongside Anika, you listen to the two men explain the different flowers and of course, their favourite ones. "This one here, blooms once every twelve years. They are mostly found in the western ghats of Southern India."
"Wow, I wish to see it bloom then." Anika claps her hand, bending over to take a better look at the flower.
You look around, sighing when you see a few guards not so far from here. Can't you be alone and in peace for some time. Rolling your eyes, you know it's of no use. It's their responsibility to look after you but seeing the way they maintain their distance and yet follow you has your mind come up with mischievous ideas.
One that would surely be not good for your image as a Queen.
But as a Princess, it's a different matter altogether.
Looking over at Anika, you smile. Sensing your gaze, she turns to you but is taken aback by the look on your face. She knows your up to no good, after living with you for so many years. She can very well understand that devil mind of yours.
"Excuse us, Gentlemen." Taking her hand, you dash straight ahead.
You laugh when you hear the hurried footsteps of the guards. The breeze caresses your tresses, even as you sped up. Body heating up at the task, considering the hefty weight of your dress being an added misery on your part. But did that stop you from running, nope.
Anika barely tries to not fall flat on the ground, even as you tug her to hurry up. "If I fell, I am gonna kill you."
"We will see," Your voice is heavy, face reddening at the constant laugh that slips past your lips.
"Think of this as our play, we have to hide." You tell her, as the familiar scene of your childhood self's laughter echoes through, bouncing off the air as your mother runs behind you.
A trail of maids following her, climbing the stairs you push yourself inside the first room you see.
"Oh yea-h" Anika is breathing heavily, and she is quick to slump down on the ground while you make sure the door is closed from inside.
"It is tiresome to see them." You slip past her, looking across the paintings that litter the high walls of the room.
Anika huffs, "Your the future Queen. What do you expect?"
You chuckle, face turning serious. "Do you think Jin will spare me after he becomes King, stop being delusional honey."
You still recall his eyes. His anger. Hidden beneath those gentle behaviour, was a revengeful man awaiting his turn. Nothing can guarantee your safety, even you being such an important bridge to the light kingdom will certainly not qualm his heart of all those bitter feelings. Who knows how he might kill you? Poison so that he can lie and cover up your murder.
Your mind comes up with countless ways of him killing you off- but does that faze you. Nope it doesn't.
Instead, you can't wait for what is to unfold in the near future.
"He can't just do anything to you. Your father won't let him." Anika fumes, as if the mere thought of you getting hurt was unimaginable.
"A man in love is certainly dangerous," You click your tongue, detaching the thought of that man deemed as your fate.
Love. A beautiful feeling. Like a fairytale it graces the heart with sugary delights, where the possessed is a madman wishing on the heavens. How do you know that? Well, you are a sucker for romance. Be it forbidden love or angsty one-sided romance. You have read everything, and still bringing in more books to finish and make your evening filled with imaginary love.
If in your hands, reality would have perished ages ago.
"Friend, when will you get your happily after?" She asks, even as you turn around with a laugh.
As if the mere idea was a joke in itself.
"Royals don't expect love, we expect our nation's welfare. At the end of the day, lovers are always seperated and in your destiny, comes a man of another women. I bet, half of the stupid peoples would already be giving promises of a lifetime. To someone who they wouldn't even end up with. I had rather grow old with you. Doesn't that sound like a fairytale now?"
You take your friend's hand, squeezing it with an excited squeal.
Anika rolls her eyes, even if her cheeks flushed at the loving words. "It does but still—
"Uff, you and your doubt. Couples are overrated. Friendship isn't but see, we have been together for what—14 years and still going strong. I love my bestfriend so much. I will die for you." You pull her cheeks, squishing it as her lips form a pout by the excessive massage.
Anika. Your childhood friend. At a tender age of five, you two became inseparable. Her mother was the head maid, a dear friend and a trusted companion of your mother. So it was only fair for you two to hit it off.
She pushes you away, caressing her cheeks with a pout. "Don't touch my face,"
You cross your arms, "Drama queen."
"Says the one who is the literal form of it."
You both chuckle, bickering back and forth. Even as the guards gather outside, certainly hearing your loud laughs.
Yoongi sighs, rubbing his eyes to take a look at the new reports. Looking outside, he sees the sun beginning to set in. Nowadays he is mostly confined to the library. Looking over the kingdom's past reports and the land disputes was a task in itself.
As soon as he is finished with the pile of books, the guard brings in another. It's never ending, and it frustrates him to no end. Their father is going all berserk on them, Jin is pushed to learn all the warrior skills with Namjoon. While he and Hoseok are given the task of reports. Mostly him cause Hoseok's work is to check on the grains that the kingdom receives from the citizens. And of course, the amount of money going out of the palace.
Even his spending has been cut off, all because of that Princess.
"Brother, are you free?" A knock had him look up, watching as Jungkook enters inside.
"What is it?" He groans, stretching his hands to make sure he doesn't have to take a walk for his health now.
"Father says to have dinner together. He also wants to discuss something important," Jungkook chews his lips, even as Yoongi frowns at the request.
That means, he have to see you. No way.
"I don't wanna go. I am busy," He hopes that excuse will work but no, looks like his brother is also a stubborn man.
"You go and say this to father then. Why should I get the scolding for that?" Jungkook huffs, turning away and leaving.
Yoongi sighs, knowing that his father won't listen. And so it would only be nice to go and save the trouble of getting more tasks from that old man.
Night befalls onto the Palace with a blanket of stars, the moon shimmers across the ground. Lightning the earth with a soft glow. For you, night means a peaceful walk along the lake but no, as a married women. This means to walk around the royal kitchen.
"Add salt to the cauldron, and you. Stir the vegetables well," You pass through, watching as the maids settle the plates.
Today the royal family was gonna dine together. Which was, for you a task. Cause well, you have to again see the father-son duo who can hardly go by without fighting. If they want to fight, then fight. Why bring you in between? You pout at the thought, from the corner of the eyes. You see Anika nodding at the tasters who are busy tasting the food prepared.
It wasn't long before your getting followed to the main hall, the maids busying themselves over decorating the table. While you stand here and watch the preparation, Anika being just beside you.
As soon as the table is set, the King enters alongside his most trusted advisor. "Your Majesty- " giving a curt bow, you smile when he takes his seat. Momentarily acknowledging your presence with a nod, as he goes back to talking with his advisor.
"This year, we can only hope for the rain to be adequate for the crops. If it isn't then the tax relief will eventually come into force, what do you think?" The King looks at the lanky-aged man who hums at the thought.
"Your Majesty, it would be a nice idea." He nods, looking at you who listens to their talk with keen interest.
"My lady, I have heard a lot about you. It's a pleasure to meet you," His grin throws you off, even as you give a curt nod to him.
Soon, Jin enters followed by the other Princes who take their seats. Your the last one to take a seat, beside Jungkook who doesn't even look at you. Instead, he engages in talking with taehyung who heartily entertains him. On your side, sits Hoseok who gives you a neutral look, one that you avoid.
It looks as if your in the middle of a war. One slip and your head will be next.
Complete silence falls over the dining table, apart from the occasional clatter of the glasses. You chewed as softly as you can, making sure to avoid the guys. "So," at the noise of the King clearing his throat, you look up— "The renovation of the second floor of the Sun Palace will start soon. I am thinking that it would be best if you and your wife start your married life at the earliest. Why don't you all stay together, it would help you bond and even have this kingdom blessed by an heir."
You choke on your food, coughing as you force yourself to calm down. Sipping the water, you blink back the tears that came as the consequences of the shock. When did this old man even got the idea of this? Living with seven, and produce an heir. Her body shivers at the thought, screaming at their stupid plan.
Namjoon looks at you with a glare, as the King speaks. "Are you okay, daughter?"
You nod, "What's the hurry, your Majesty? Bonding takes time, why not have some short trips or even dates." You suggest, not wishing to even think about staying inside with not one. But seven.
They can easily overpower you, and judging by how much glare your recieving from them. Your sure, you won't survive even the first night.
"Hmm, what do you think I should do then? You all look more like strangers than a married couple."
Your eyebrows twitch. What is the motive of the King speeding up this process. It's not like you can go and read his mind or something. And living with seven is a nope. "How about one at a time. I can stay with one Prince over a period of three months."
Jimin nods at your words, even if he is looking towards his father.
King smiles, "Okay, you can start with Jin. He will now live in your inner quarters, away from any kind of distractions." His words carry a double meaning, and your immediate to know that he is referring to Jin's lover. A silent aggreement of no arguments.
Three months.
God knows what will happen.

"Tell them I got a disease or whatever that can spread through me. I don't want to be with that Prince." Your blabbering, annoyed as you remove your jewellery furiously.
Why should you bear the brunt of their fight? Becoming a third wheel between the Princes and the King is like signing up for death. And for what has the King chosen to put his lover into the midst of it. Now he will despise her more. Great.
"They will know your trying to get your way out of it, Princess." Anika sighs, setting the pieces of your collection with utmost care.
You brush your hair, huffing as you take a seat on the lush bed. "See, this marriage is just in name. You as well as I know that much. And as for the heir, there is still time. We can just ask Prince's lover to bear his child and let it be the future of the Kingdom. Everyone will be happy like this." You take your book, lying across your bedding, mood sour at the sudden storm heading your way.
Anika nods, sighing as she looks across the balcony. It was gloomy night, the moon being overpowered by the clouds that resembled a tragic sight to the creatures of the night.
Sleeping was difficult when all your mind could do was worry. Wrecking it for some solution was futile. No matter how much excuses you came up with, all were met with a dead-end. Next morning, the thought of Jin was replaced quickly by your work of looking into the designs. The architect had already brought in many ideas, and you just had to finalize the things and let the labourers start the process as soon as they can. Which you did, a flurry of guards and maids rushing right in as you gave your orders.
Anika was right beside you, filling you in on the works you had to do at the early hours of the dawn. You obviously couldn't do anything without her. Not even waking up, cause it was a task in itself.
Your extraordinary marriage wasn't the only thing the citizens were suspicious about. Maybe that's why the King is so hell bent on getting you to stay with them. Afterall, by doing this. The rumours would cease to exists.
Upto some extent.
"Princess," Anika slithers past the line to maids. After seemingly disappearing for some time.
"Yes?"
"Prince Jin is shifting to your inner quarters, do you want to go and greet him?" Her words make you frown, defiance clearly shining through. But in front of others, you pull a small smile of happiness. Internally cringing at the act.
You pout, "I wish I could but father-in-law gave me this work and I don't wanna upset him." Bringing a logical reason, you shake your head as if extremely sad over the thought of not meeting your not so sweet husband.
"Princess, you can go and check on the eldest Prince. I will look into this matter," The architect named Robert smiles at you, much to your annoyance.
"You don't have to, this is my duty. I don't—
"I bet a few minutes of absence won't bring a bad name to your reputation. Your maid could look after you, making sure the work moves smoothly." You clicked your tongue, clearly annoyed but it wasn't like the man would back off. He was too sweet. You hated it.
You turned away, giving a tight smile to Anika who gives you a pity look. Not that you want one. But you accept, moving away as the maids scurry behind you but you stop them with a flick of your hand. You need privacy and some time to collect your thoughts. God knows how much you have to put up an act of happy wife. Atleast in absence, you can let go and be at ease.
Rushing through the grand walls, you huff. Can't he wait to shift? Like from when he came out to be a filial son. You atleast expected something more from his side but guess, Jin is full of surprises.
As soon as you enter your inner quarters, your horrified to be met with the sight of a naked Jin who is busy fucking that maid. Again. But fuck he was doing the unholy ON YOUR PRECIOUS BED. His growls and her moans are so loud that your eyes twitch into rage. Oh Lord, give you strength for your this close to carry out a full-fledged murder. Judging by how engrossed they are in kissing, they haven't seen you yet. Let's change that. You look sideways, taking the jug of the cool water resting right across the table and throw it on them. As noises of the water splashing and their gasps became music to your ears, until you heard a groan of pain and 'Are you okay?'
In your rage, you didn't know that you flicked the jug right on Jin's head. Are you guilty. Nope. Quite happy to knock some damn sense inside his thick head. Perhaps, the Prince can only think from his dick. You ought to change that. Bitch thought he could ruin your sheets with his unholy fluids and you will let him get away with it.
Jin rolls away from the maid, clutching his head as the women scrambles to cover herself in your presence. You laughed, he really thought to get on your nerves by fucking in your room. That's why he was so eager to shift here.
"Now, take those sheets and burn them alongside the bed." You growl, looking straight at the maid who flinches at your tone.
You don't feel sympathy for her, why should you when she is the one who is equally partaking in that man's stupid ideas.
Jin, through his pain manages to send a glare at your way. "You tried to kill the Prince, how dare you?"
Ignoring him, you continue to stare at his women who tries to hide behind him. You smirk, mockery clear. Shyness doesn't suit this women, especially not when she is getting dicked down right inside your room, in your bed and on your sheets. You can't tolerate how he is constantly trying to get on your nerves. Does he want you to be jealous? Or does he wants you to know that he is taken, despite his marriage to you. Either way, your not into playing games with him so taking another jug of water, you throw it right across his face. You watch Jin gasping, the sudden water splash forcing him to gulp the water which in turn causes him to cough uncontrollably.
"Prince, your too drunk. See this is my room, so can you take your bitch away or do I have to throw her out. Naked." You sneer, a warning in your tone that has the women scrambling on her feet.
She was out quicker than you thought. You watch as Jin stands up, not even having the decency to cover up in front of you. His dark eyes reel you in, a rage similar to yours shimmering inside. He is waiting, no challenging you to again defy him and watch as he punishes you for your act. You couldn't ignore the way he flexes his muscles, the training giving him an added air of confidence.
Rolling your eyes, you scoff at him. "I guess, no one taught you what modesty is?"
Jin scoffs, "You wish. Unlike you, I am much better."
"Yeah yeah, take your two inch size away. I don't know how could she scream with this small size, guess she is a naive women yet to explore the Amazon." You give a disgusting look, even as Jin's eyes widen at your words. And if you weren't so mad, you might have toned it down a little.
"The audacity of you calling my thing small," He growls, making you chuckle in mockery.
You smirk, "Don't be sad, Just find a man with big size to show you or her as to how exactly it feels to be full." His eyes harden at your blatant disregard of his sexuality. Taking long strides, he reaches for you but before he can even reach you. Your flinging your dagger hidden beneath your robes, pushing the tip right across his heart. Warning him from further pursuing you.
His jaw hardens, promises of eternal hell dripping from his eyes that makes you take a tentative step ahead, the edge of the dagger penetrating his skin. Enough to hurt, but not enough to draw blood.
"One of many reasons to have you executed." His poisoned words held a promise that had your stomach dropping ever so slightly. But your neutral facade hides it all. You know he can't kill you yet, your way too important and you know your worth.
Heck, the entire Kingdom is aware of that.
You sneer at him, "Careful, I can hold grudges far longer than your pathetic life. If I die, your Kingdom is done and if you die, nothing happens. Your other six brothers will entertain the throne in your absence." Your words do nothing but fuel the fire raging in front of you.
In a swift moment, the dagger is thrown away from your hands, as calloused fingers wrap against your wrist. Twisting you around in an iron grip, the abrupt action getting you off guard. A yelp escapes the confines of your lips and He presses, hard, making you wince. His hot breath fans the shell of your ear as you shiver at the odd angle of proximity. "Careful with your words, I can slit your tongue for such insolence." Judging by how ragged his breathing is, you know he is angry. Heck furious even, you have managed to push his buttons.
Your body stiffens, knowing well that his naked hardness is pressed against your precious clothes and that only serves to flare up your anger. His bitch's disgusting fluid is touching your priceless clothes. "Shameless bastard, stay away from me."
Jin's smirks, pushing himself more against you. Making you feel disgusted with him, unlike you he is enjoying. Now that he has you squirming. "I am your husband, what is wrong if I want to be shameless with my wife." His words make you scoff, heaving, you yank your hand in the opposite direction. Successfully releasing it from his death iron-like grip. Pushing up, you grip his hair. Pulling hard as you make sure he feels every bit of the pain.
He growls, loosening his grip on you as you jump away as if burned by his touch. "Fucking asshole. Dog. Shameless animal," You curse him, stringing many colourful words. It only seems to worsen as your angry shouts coax the maids to rush in while you scream orders of preparing a bath and changing out of this clothes.
For others, it might look like a simple feud but for you, it was war.
From then on, You and Jin constantly fought. Acting all happy outside while plotting each other's demise in the most subtle way possible. On many occasions you added extra chilli in his food and enjoyed the way he spluttered. Glaring at you as he gulped gallons of water. While on other occasions, he kicked you purposely while hogging the whole bed. Much to your annoyance.
Fucking bitch.
Occasionally daggers would be used too, considering how you two clutched some nor the other weapon as a mark of safety, making sure the other knows you have one.
You watched as Jin looks warily to the food you brought to his side, it was rice pudding decorated with dry fruits. It made him cringe at the effort. Knowing well, the intentions were totally opposite. He can't help but twitch his eyes, suppressing his rage in front of the maids that assist you wherever you go.
"Should I call —," You proposed, taking his lover's name, much to his dismay.
You very well know he visits her everyday, painstakingly avoiding everyone to escape the confines of the duties that bind him to you. Though your yet to know about how has this Prince gotten into the arms of a frail lady. What was their story? Like a reader, obsessed with forbidden love. You try to heed in the gossips of the maids who have nothing but disdain and insults for the mistress. Right, Mistress was what others called her. She had a seperate room, away from the maids but not exactly doused in luxury. The King is very strict on them, even on Yoongi whose lover you don't even know about. Heck you haven't even heard about her or much less seen her?
As if she is invisible. Non-existent to this world.
Beside you, Anika is contemplating whether to flee or watch your silent battle, that to others might look like a lovely gaze but to her, was a poisonous glint filled with motives. You were upto something and she knew it was anything but good.
It was hard. Especially when you went to sleep with a small dagger hidden beneath your robes. It scared her, so much that she stood outside on guard. Her ears trying to pick up any sound of weapons slashing but so far no luck. It isn't like she is waiting for some blood bath in there but neither is she waiting for some romance cause according to you, it's impossible.
"I am not hungry," His lips twitched, as he bit it hard. Almost to the point of drawing blood.
You pout, "Is that so? Will your lover's presence help you to get hungry. I mean, whatever makes my husband happy. I am not a jealous women," you chuckled awkwardly, successfully pulling an act of a women whose husband betrays her and so the pity look of the maids was an added reward to your attempt.
Success.
Then only, the maid enters. The same women whose slender figure makes you sympathise with her. Poor lady, if Jin crushes her. She is long gone. In your Kingdom, such ladies are mostly called as Thin branch. Not that you wanna comment on her weight, but you pity her nonetheless. She has that pure pale skin, giving her a look of vampires who would never wander into the bright dawn. "Prince, I made this for you."
Jin's eyes light up, as you internally chuckle at the naive birdie whose neck is gonna be crushed soon. "Oh dear, you could have just called me. I would have come? What did you make, I am hungry?" He especially says the last word to you, a shit-eating grin thrown at your way.
One that you do not respond to.
It's ironic that he thinks he got the upper hand. Your just trying to ignore his acts, that infuriates you. If the King got to know about his mistress entering inside your room without permission and even if he got to know as to how his precious son is into exhibitionism. Enjoying having sex right in front of his namesake wife. It excites you, the drama would be worth watching but you can't do it right now.
Not yet.
You got too much work to even start a drama, much less enjoy it. But in future, there might be one. Who knows.
Looking back at the two pigs, you try to ignore their display of affection, but it wasn't long before you hear a scream and 'This is so bitter' from Jin which makes you crack up. You might or might not have seen her making something for Jin and might or might not have added a bowl of salt.
You look up to see him seething, but it wasn't directed at her but you. Oh, of course he had that much trust on her to know that she would never do such thing. It has to be you. Quite a show, you were hoping for some couple fight. There goes your entertainment.
"Everyone leave, I need to speak to her." He points at you, the harsh tone being anything but scary.
You could sense Anika's worried look, as she moves out with the other maids. It wasn't long before the doors were closed and a defeating sigh leaves your lips. Ignoring his eyes that shoots dagger, you plop down on the bed. Waiting for his rant, which will begin anytime soon.
"I should have never shown sympathy to you, women like you deserve to just rot in hell." His words, were more grave this time. Like a ticking bomb, he bursts. Like a molten lava, his voice screeched your ears with how loud he was. And his eyes, filled with malice told you that he was so done. His gaze was like a heavy weight that assessed your worth to a lowly being. It wasn't something you expected but judging the tone of his words had you look at him, your face hardening ever so lightly. Jin laughs. A mocking one at that. "Did I hit a nerve? You know what, I think you should face reality. It's not bravery to marry seven and it's certainly not okay to strip others of their life at your expense. No one owes you a damn thing here, all that you bring is your wealth and your connections which isn't even yours. It belongs to your father, not his spoilt daughter who only brought shame to her family."
You listen, not speaking but neither heeding his words. You want to speak, rebuke him of how much coward he is to show up to your ceremony. Just to save his face, so that his people won't call him a coward. What lover doesn't even fight until the end? In reality, he is just another weak man looking for validation in others eyes. Seeking a little glory, a little acceptance of his capability. But you don't comment or lash out, why should you care?
His life is none of your concern.
When he doesn't speak further, you raise an eyebrow. "Are you done, My Prince? Now, can I go." Your icy words are like the same splash of cold water you graced him with. But now, it was more pointed. Rigid and terrifying in its intensity. Not waiting for his reply, you slither out. Leaving him no crumbs to pick up on.
Jin furrows his eyebrow, he thought he would get a fight from you. Anything but empty eyes and a hardened look that gave nothing away.
From then on, days passed much slower than he wished it did. You hardly talked to him, it was as if no matter what he did. He couldn't get a reaction out of you, even kicking you out of bed got him nothing but a smack. But words, that you cussed at his blatant disregard of you wasn't there.
During evenings, he would come across you. Sometimes lounging across the lake with a couple of maids, while you played with the strand of your hair. Seemingly lost in reading a book.
He hates it. He hates how you have brought a newfound curiosity in him. His mind is filled with doubts, about what is your motive behind this? Why did you help his dad, much less marry them which in itself is a big taboo. Your that cruel and cold royalty that hides behind those steel looks. Mystery, that's what your name should have been.
But the peace that comes with your silence is rewarding.
"This is boring," Hoseok grumbles, snatching the papers that Yoongi has carefully placed.
Yoongi snaps, "Well, just by seeing it your bored. Here, I have to do it every fucking day."
They all were couped up into Namjoon's room, a tray of sweets and tea carelessly disregarded while they drown themselves into wine. The work of the palace was taking a toll, and with their relentless father who wants quick results. It was hell. Which meant, less sleep and more work. The stress reliever being this liquor that would make him forget, for once, that he needs rest. From everything.
"I heard, that Y/n and you are fighting a lot." Jimin, chugs down the wine's contents like it was plain water.
Jin glares, scoffing at the mention. "You bet."
Hoseok hums, smiling sweetly "I also heard that you actually fucked Irene on her bed, If It was me. You would have been ten feet under the ground."
Jungkook splutters, coughing at the revelation of his acts. He was young, and so it was only fair that all of them glared at Hoseok who just shrugs in response.
Patting his brother's back, Taehyung sighs. "See, you should stop pushing her buttons brother. I earlier heard that the Princess ordered the guards to burn the bed, her sheets and even her clothes. Like, what are you two doing in there?"
He winces, the accusing tone not helping either.
"Stop it, we are here to relax. Not talk about her," Namjoon shouts, his mood being worse than others.
Jimin pouts, "But she is our wife, it isn't fair that Jin gets to sleep with her while we don't even get to see her."
Hoseok gasps, "Exactly, my words Jiminie. I don't even feel like I am married, like aren't we supposed to feel married or is it different."
Jin groans, wanting to smash his head on the walls.
He ignores their bickering, not interested at all. As the eldest Prince, if there was anyone who had to suffer more then it was him. Marriage. Such a big change but for him, it wasn't. Irene wasn't happy when she saw him with a wife. Much less a princess, who was way too high for her likes. She had him known at instant, her anger was justified but he couldn't do anything but whisper promises of eternity.
Irene was his childhood sweetheart. One with whom he played, whilst being neglected by his own father. He found comfort in her, she didn't judge him nor did she call him like others, a Prince. From day one, he was just Jin to her. Striped bare, without any title or status to govern him. That simplicity of hers is what attracts him, she never asks for any gifts. Unlike others who tell him that she is but a waste of time, even his father thinks she is a trap. A mistress who is nowhere as important as a Queen.
'A Kingdom doesn't run on love, you need power and that is where the Queen comes.' His words are loud and clear, but so is his.
You. The one who is the problem. You who he can't get rid of. He hates you. Hates how you know damn well that he can't kill you. Not when your kingdom's connections are strengthening, providing them with advantages they could only dream of. Your infuriating with that attitude and demeanor with which you assess him, as if declining his worth lower than your bejeweled feet.
God, he had only heard about your beauty. If only he had known about your nasty attitude, he would have rather be disregarded by his own father than go to that ceremony.
In that arena, you were absolutely enjoying. He could see in it your damn face, feel it how you enjoyed the power that you had over all the spectators vying for you. And it only stings when he knows, that you were already set on them. And yet you didn't had the decency to stop the ceremony and announce the results. Instead, you played with the hearts of many. Making them fight for you, heck even he was having a hard time.
Your interrogation was another game, he recalls how his brothers were left speechless by your shamelessness. You had no, absolutely no right to walk like that in that dress. Like some temptress that had suddenly decided to play, the sway of your hips and your eyes fluttering in innocence; was like a slap. Even Kamasutra would be put to shame in front of your acts, after all no one is as dangerous as a women who knows how to seduce.
"She is dangerous." His words leave them confused. Their chatter halting, as they stare at their eldest with confusion.
"Who? Y/n" Namjoon interjects, as the others silently watch the two exchange a brief glance of acknowledgement.
He clears his throat, "She can't suddenly decide to help the King, just because he asked her to. She could have had anybody lying down for her, but she chose this. Of course, there's an ulterior motive. You think, a women with that attitude will let any man have her. Before that, she had rather claw his heart out. Rip his eyes and throw him to the wolves or better, cut his dick for even thinking of a future."
Jungkook and taehyung alongside Jimin gasps as Namjoon shouts 'language' but he rolls his eyes. Not caring and not giving a damn. His brothers are not some babbling kids in front of whom he can't even take a man's important part's name.
"Yes, dick that is used to fuck." Yoongi grumbles, as Hoseok chuckles. Amused at the situation.
"You guys." Namjoon shakes his head, deciding to let this go for now. Everyone is stressed, and they don't need a teacher to see their language.
And by the way Jin is glaring, he knows. "Now, does anyone has any idea as to what treasure we have that the Princess of light might want to possess." His voice drips in sarcasm, as everyone share a look.
"Certainly not wealth. Not that she has any shortage of that," Taehyung mumbles quietly, as they nod.
It was a fact.
"Does she want revenge?" Jimin raises an eyebrow, to which Namjoon tuts. Not at all pleased.
"No, as far as our history is concerned. No harm was done from our side, you would have known if you had taken your classes seriously." Namjoon shoots Jimin a look, who in return sends a sheepish smile. Not at all hiding that he did skip them.
"I don't know, why don't we just ask her?" Yoongi snaps, scratching his head with a tired look. He is done with today's shit and all he needs is sleep. Not a puzzle about that women.
Hoseok mocks, "Yeah, she will kick your ass so how about not?" To which Yoongi shoots a glare.
He groans, "Silence. Everyone. How about we send someone to bring information, maybe that will help in knowing exactly what conspired this events."
Namjoon shoots up, hopeful to the idea. "Yeah, that's a wonderful idea brother."
And that's how they all gathered, laying down the plan while deciding on sending their top soldiers in disguise. After completing the meeting, Jin leaves for the inner quarters. Suddenly feeling much lighter than he did a few days ago. Now, all he has to do is wait.

Humming a tune, you walk around the large library. Searching for a book that might entertain your boring life in the palace. The renovation work was on full swing, though what you hated the most was how much less time you had. The previous book was good, but it didn't interest you that much. It's a shame that the erotic books that you generally like aren't even here.
Instead, all you come across is a bunch of pirates book. Full of adventures and loots. Hardly there's an author in the land that might fulfill your fantasy. Except one, a women named Desire. Strange name but not that it was her real name, it signifies what her books give. She is famous for such writings, forbidden romance was popular and God did you love her writings. Not only she let's the women decide their fate, but she also lets them shamelessly give in to temptation.
For the society, it's a sin and a poison. That's why, she is mostly hidden, her readers too hidden like her. Not wishing abandonment from the society or worse, execution. But considering her popularity, book sellers discreetly go on with it. Though condition of absolute secrecy is something not to be taken lightly. You always send Anika for bringing such books, after all you don't trust anyone to not give you out.
Your absolute favourite is the dom and sub dynamics. It's hot when you see her characters dominate men on bed, leaving them to a whining mess. Even though a virgin, you have your own adventures with sex. You might or might not have tried to touch yourself, yes while reading a steamy scene which leaves you panting for more. Your clit twitching as your mind registers the excitement coursing through your veins, and the next second your touching yourself but no matter what you do. You can't masturbate, the books say that climax or simply orgasm should feel like bliss. But your too much of a coward, the tight knot in your lower region and the wild shaking of your legs makes it too much to continue.
And so, instead of relieving yourself. You take a very cold bath.
After a long search of a book, you come across a fantasy novel about Queen's mates. It looks like a werewolf story which shocks you. How could this be in the library, who would even read this. And why was it even brought in here.
Who cares. It isn't like your interested to know. All humans have urges and so tucking the book in the safety of your dress, you hurry back to your room.
"Princess," You look sideways, finding the owner of the voice.
You smile, relieved to see that the teasing tone was not of a stranger. On the contrary, he is very much familiar to the likes of you. "To what do I owe this pleasure, My Prince."
He smiles brightly, coercing your own smile to equal it. "I thought I would hardly see you, considering how much your busy with my brother."
You snort, as if the idea was amusing. "Busy with responsibilities, you mean."
He narrows his eyes, playfully. "I see, so how about I entertain you in your free time?"
You raise an eyebrow, curious at his blatant flirting. "Prince Hoseok, I have been assigned to your elder brother. You will have to wait for your time."
Hoseok grins, "Brother Seokjin was assigned to stay with you for a duration of three months. The King never did say that you didn't have any permission to spend your time with your other husband."
You internally grimace at his choice of words. "Okay, but no promises. "
To which he nods, taking your hand and planting an abrupt kiss "I will meet you, until then Princess."
Outside, the orange gold stretches far and wide, signifying the setting sun in like to the colour of fire. It is but the reflection of the dawn, the promise of the rising sun that comes after the velvety night has had its say and the land has rested once more.
Silence befalls, as you slither inside your room. Your mind occupied by a certain Prince.
Keeping the book across the wooden table, you shake your head. Suddenly bothered by the wetness between your legs. You completely forgot about it. Certainly a certain Prince had to do something with it. His offer was strange, but you couldn't bring yourself to say no. Perhaps bonding with them will help quell the anger of the other Princes, giving you an advantage. But first you have to take care of this problem. It was uncomfortable and so in order to relieve yourself. You decide to take a cold bath.
Calling a few maids, you tell them to prepare everything while you go inside.
Jin enters the inner quarters while your blissfully ignorant. He looks around, eyes furrowing when he sees your personal maid standing right near the bathing area. Sensing his gaze, she bows her head in greeting.
"Princess is taking a bath." She speaks before he even questions. No doubt, curious as to who takes a bath at this time.
He nods, not caring as Jin plops down on the bed. But something, catches his attention. A book. Ah, he has seen you enough times to know how much you read. Wondering what exactly is so exciting in politics and warfare books. He was even on the conclusion of you being a psycho creep who enjoys torturing others.
Taking the book, he looks at the cover. 'Queen's mates' Now this is no politics book. He smirks, you enjoy fantasy. Quite opposite of your attitude, he must say.
Flipping the book open, he is met with warning. Doused in red. 'This book contains full fledged erotica so if your not comfortable then don't read. If you don't like women dominating men on bed, or if your ego is fragile or if you don't like threesome or in general hot and forbidden sex that makes you all hot and bothered then I suggest. You take a leave. Thank you. I love you, my horny readers.'
His eyes widen, the what.
"Holy—" He clamps his mouth shut, as your maid gives him a look. Clearing his throat, Jin closes the book. No longer interested in your little adventures. But never in his wildest dreams, could he think of you reading this. And to think, that all the time you have been reading some nor the other books of sex is horrifying. He has even seen you reading outside, surrounded by maids. Actual people who can catch you but judging by how neutral resting bitch face you have. No one would suspect a damn thing.
The realisation has him smirking. Now he will get you back and make you dance on his whim. Oh he can't wait to see your mighty attitude crumbling in utter shame and embarassment.

"Don't think, run. Run until you drop dead till nothing can find you and nothing can stop you, run until you feel like everything and nothing and eternal."
I repeat the words until I know nothing else. It was the last thing said to me before I did as told, I ran and ran to a place no human could find and no light could enter.
Today, I was a traitor chased to be later killed, yesterday, I was one of the most acknowledged nobles. Be it for my work in various fields or my status or my achievements in bringing a more just system where not only an elite few can enjoy life. And one mistake with timing just right to form into an elaborate story on why I am but undeserving of life under the sun of our land, the emperor.
And so I did as my master ordered, I ran far away. Half of the journey, I think, by foot until I found a horse which helped me get into this surreal forest.
It's sights something you would only see in the finest of paintings, colors that make you wish your world looked this good. It's flowers all shades of blue and purple and a bit of pink every here and now. It's trees' barks something between a whimsical blue and brown. As I kept walking I found a lake. It had a few frogs and fish, fallen petals were especially abundant around it. Although the water was quite tempting after so much walking, I decided against it lest it brings unwanted danger.
I started getting scared; a gut feeling telling me this isn't safe I tried getting out in a hurry and hung my sword against my waist.
Eventually, I reached an abandoned city, most of it's structures made from bricks except, what I'm assuming is, the poorer part of the city. One building however, was preserved in pristine condition, with stones making a pathway and flowers emitting a small light surrounding it. I get down from the horse, tying it's halter around a tree. Inside I see hundreds, if not thousands of bookshelves, each part having multiple seats and foreign snacks. Puzzled, I call out for anyone.
"Oh who's there?" I hear a feminine voice say and out comes a lady, maybe in her 50s? "Well it's quite the surprise to see someone here. If they way here isn't hard enough to figure, the city outside is quite frightening, no?" we both share a small laugh.
"You're right but I have nowhere else to go," sadness is lacing my voice as i briefly remember all what happened.
"why come here of all places then? the world outside is vast surely there are better places to consider first,"
"I was told to run, so I did and..well I got here,"
"Oh, well I won't pry any further, you're welcome to stay although it is quite boring here. Surely you're hungry from your trip. Come I'll get you food," she said in understanding and I couldn't help the warm safe feeling inside me.
I followed her further inside until we reached a kitchen, this time I could easily recognize the different foods. "You're not from here are you?" I ask a bit suspicious as the food outside was unrecognizable for me. "No, I, much like you, left my old life behind. I found this place and decided to stay here," she grabs all kinds of pots and plates quickly, it's strangely robotic; her movements. Almost resembling that of a poor actor after many rehearsals. I think nothing of it and instead keep watching.
"You know, I've been trying to discover the language used for the books outside for as long as I've been here,"
"No luck, huh?" I chuckle slightly a bit awkwardly.
"Well," she sighed quietly, "it's not something I ever studied."
"I'd tried studying it before but language probed to not be strong suit, but perhaps I should try with the books outside anyway since I've experience? I can't help but admit they've also piqued my interest"
" Very well," she turned around two plates of food in hand and a third one along with a cup on the counter, "You must rest before that," she finished as I grabbed the remaining plates begining to follow her
"There's a spare room in good condition just up stairs, when I first came in the closet somehow had the type of clothes I'd wear in my same size. I imagine the same will happen to you whatever civilization was here seems profound in magic," she seemed far away in thought and strangely somber.
I followed her up a few stairs, the floor it led to having only two rooms. As we set down the food I asked for the time, after replying she ushered me to bed insisting on my need for rest. It was six already, yet the sun still hung brightly casting a warm light over the small room.
It had a wooden bed with intricate carvings. As well as lavender bedding that matched the bedside table, while the closet matched the bed, plain and fancy. I got up to open it and true to the lady's words I found clothes of all kinds and colors, each of them being my size and style. I got slightly suspicious of this place and even more so towards the old lady, something just felt off. However I also felt a strange intruding calmness.
One that kept me from reacting as if chaining my real feelings towards this place, my thoughts a mere whisper in it's wake. I sat down on the bed and ate slowly.
I thought back on everything and how unreal it seems, that all I'd ever done in life was gone in seconds. I wonder if I can ever go back.
Suddenly, I heard a muffled scream quickly followed by a thud, along came the same strange feeling overtaking me playing me like a stringed puppet. I slowly get up and head towards the other room; and the walk feels agitatingly long and slow despite the short distance between the room. The moment I step in, I'm met with blood and broken wood shards splattered everywhere across the room. I'm horrified, my mind running this thoughts, why? how? who? all muffled by the same hypnotizing sense.
Despite my best effort to resist I gently close the door, as if seeing nothing, and take the same slow, long walk back to the room.
As night comes, the revolting calmness and comfort I feel forced to sleep, not allowing me a chance at my thoughts and I feel like a doll.
Secretly I enjoy being so numb, not have to worry or take action to anything, it is unlike anything I've ever done. Yet a sense of responsibility overshadows my wish of a completely peaceful life, awaiting a chance to take control and investigate the murder.

"Der Heiligenschein des Ergebenen" An older piece I dug up and decided to upload here as well. It's a more story-heavy piece as it depicts a scene from a story I've been working on and off for several years now. War and it's people fascinated and frightened me since I was little. My family came from all sorts of places, including Germany and Poland, making the era of WW2 so much more personal for myself and them. This scene depicts Jonas, my WW2 pilot character, who decided to flee from Germany at the later period of the ongoing war. He crashlanded in England and was captured, turning himself in essentially, to free himself from the grasp that tortured the country for so long. Working with such heavy topics is another way to work through your families and countries history, exploring what happened and understanding the people from times long ago to a certain extend.
