All she ever wanted was for someone to care about her??? And then you mean to tell me she cut him off for two years??? If the bar scene hadn’t of happened would she of ever talked to him again???

EXACTLY!!! she just wanted someone to care for her and then for her to ignore joel for 2+ years??? doesn't line up for me. if the bar scene didn't happen, I seriously doubt she would've talked to joel again. if we act like the golfing didn't happen, maybe a few years down the line, they would've talked. but I doubt they ever would've been as close as they were in the first game. and the conversation would've been incredibly strained.

was talking to someone about it and I really hope they change it for the second season. show ellie and game ellie are two different people to me. show ellie loves joel and actively wants a father figure. I mean, look at how affectionate she was from the start, when joel wanted absolutely nothing to do with her. show joel and ellie just seem to be closer. I.e. it wasn't time that did it. I can see show ellie being mad for a couple months, but 2 years???? mm-mm, not in the show. game ellie wants a father figure, sure, but it's not a necessity for her. yes, it would be nice, but oh, her father figure lied, guess I don't need one anymore. game joel and ellie just don't seem that close, so the 2 year estrangement kinda makes sense. I still hate it, but it makes sense
