i want to thank the 1920s-1930s third wheel who saw their two friends lying in bed together in their underwear and stocking garters reading a book with their legs wrapped around each other and said “i am going to take a photograph of this”
no no see, domesticity IS hot. how intimate it is to make food with someone, to share a bed, to brush your teeth at the same sink, to shower and use the same towels and the same laundry soap, to grocery shop and hold hands through the aisles, to be cornered in the kitchen to make out while a pot of pasta boils over on the stove. to fall asleep and hear them snoring softly and laugh at the little trail of drool out of the corner of their mouth. to spend money together and share chores and pick on each other for your weird habits. it's not always perfect and beautiful, but it's comfortable and familiar and I just think it's neat.
just thinking abt how much I adore nicknames, whether they are shortened (or longer vers) of your name or smth so absolutely random, I love them dearly, and whenever someone starts calling me by a nickname I'm like AAAAAHHH💞💫✨, so yeah anyways, lol
as a subtitler im incredibly biased as i say this but. shoutout to forms of fan labor other than fanart and fanfiction. fanart and fanfiction are awesome, don't take this as a dig at those, but i have a big appreciation for fans who provide closed captioning/subtitles/translations of works out of love n passion; fans who recap and explain aspects of the original work; fucking SPEEDRUNNERS, holy shit, shoutout to speedrunners and challenge runners in video game communities. lots of things that fall outside the scope of what comes to mind when people think of fanart/fan labor are integral parts of a healthy fan ecosystem
2024 is such a year of love, my two favourites women have found the love of their lives. thewizardliz is engaged and lana del rey is married, seriously MARRIED!! I can feel the love surrounding me as well and I hope it finds you too💗
Listening to the katniss chronicles for the first time it’s literally like experiencing the books for the first time again. I’m so obsessed with their accents. The use of the presenters is so smart. It’s just all so clever I’m obsessed. And the Peeta and Katniss bread sequence was literally phenomenal like ahhhh I can’t wait
