The walls that were enforced stronger than ever come crumbling down under the soft glow of your vision.
A sick, sick joke
To feel your presence again and then be deprived of it again
Diluc is no stranger to loss. When it took his father, he wasn't strong and when it came for you, he wasn't stronger still. And surrounded by the now decimated abyss hideout remains, he feels like he has failed again. Was he always fated to be the one who gets saved, one that survives? Did the archons reserve the fate of mourning solely for him?
Why him again and why through you?
Your name is only a breathy whisper as it escapes his lips. Like shore to a man drowning, he cradles the glowing teal in his hands, desperate to feel any sort of your presence again.
This was you. He could never mistake these fleeting currents for anything else. Apologies and affirmations, so much he wished he could have expressed all drown down in choked sobs.
And when the glow fades out, the winds are the only witness to his screams.
Tartaglia (pyro)
He lives for conflict, revels in it. The closer to death, more alive he feels. So imagine his surprise when a familiar burst of flame takes down the last of his enemies, just as his muscles were about to give out.
Wait, anticipation. There is no sorrow in his tone as he recognizes the searing pyro vision on the ground. It's glee, it's the excitement felt whenever you two spared. This was you. You came back.
You once promised him a battle to the death.
It's the euphoric rush he feels when he closes down on the flames, your flames that still seem reluctant to harm him. This was his promised duel? right? He knew you would never break your promise.
Bloodied hands draw out the hydro blades as he calls out your name. Your heat, your power. There was no other way that he'd rather go down.
Crimson soon fades out as your vision dies down again. His feet give out as he reaches out, face spanning a million emotions.
"no no no no NO COME BACK, YOU PROMISED ME."
Xiao (geo)
The yaksha does not require protection; he is far too experienced in combat to warrant any of it. His karmic weight is his own to bear. He shall not let the monsters trained by his karmic debt dirty his contract with Morax.
But he falls, deeper and deeper into the depths of his binds.
resentment, bloodshed, anger,
A warm hue surrounds him, glowing gold like the brightest suns and it spreads, like the wildfire that burns far too bright to put out. The gold of your vision, a flickering hope at the end of the line, becomes his guide. It's unwavering in the face of his torments, just like you were. He surrenders himself to your light and feels the pain subside.
He regains control just as your vision fades out, gold turning grey.
Strong clutch the faded vision and brings it closer to his chest. His voice uncharacteristically gentle.
