I love how the confession scene in Dead Boy Detectives works. Edwin confesses and Charles- after a bit of hesitation- is okay with it. He understands Edwin but also realizes that he doesn’t feel the same way, but compromised to get them to safety. And afterwards- they’re okay. No awkwardness, just a quiet understanding.
