I think the phone may have been Fans but what if Bow possessed it?

I’m not sure if the delete would affect her or not, she can’t be deleted by MePhone but I don’t know about the other thing (I’ve somehow already forgotten the name-)

Anyway so if that’s true maybe she took over the phone as a way to hide or stay safe?

and my friend told me in an earlier episode Lightbulb said that Baxter would either create or end the world so it could be foreshadowing?

II 17 SPOILERS... kinda? More me just yapping and (poorly) theorizing

i mean, there's NO way that was the end yeah? If I recall right, they said that season 4 was a possibility (unless they were lying) (which is very possible LMAO)

There's a few things that kinda stick out to me which makes me think we'll get an Act 3

One, this close up shot of this phone? Why would they bring attention to it?? Especially if this WAS the last episode, it would just feel really odd to have one of the last shots be... a random phone?? Endings can have unanswered questions, yes, but you don't usually CREATE a new question right at the end.

Also how is Baxter still here?? He's not from the outside world or anything, he was just chilling in a pond which MePhone made? Maybe I'm overthinking it and he just... someone wandered into that pond coincidentally?

Also ALSO the eggs just... saw all that? Like the shimmers are just there. I feel like they're not just gonna come down to find one of their kids, see literally EVERYTHING disappear and just be like "hmm... must've been the wind!" and dip

We can probably assume Bow got blipped out as well, as even if she was disconnected from MePhone, purgatory mansion is just gone alongside Apple, so she doesn't really have a chance. But what about Bot? It's probably safe to assume all the other III contestants got blinked out, but they weren't created by MePhone. So are they just like... sitting there? Alone? And that's just not acknowledged??

One final thing to note is Cobs, who really makes me think that there's no way this is the end. He is the sole person to insist that YES, this the finale. "Show's over," and all that. I'm just saying, I feel like when an antagonist continually says something, usually the opposite is the truth.

Of course, how do you make another episode after THAT? Well...

Cobs did say he wanted to make something new. And he doesn't strike me as the creative type, so he might just use some of MePhone's old work as a basis. And just maybe, not everything will be completely correct. I'm just saying there's a reason why they wrote this line. I'M NOT CRAZY I PROMISE

Or maybe it is just the end. What do I know? I'm just coping :P

You JUST heard/saw that Pickle died but everyone else is convinced it's a prank. You leave to look for clues based on noises Fan is hearing (which he deduces is possibly the Shimmer Baby), and stumble across PM and its residents (including Marshmallow, who was presumed missing for YEARS.) You stay and chat for a bit, then go to investigate some more (possibly with Marsh and Apple tagging along, or just as a trio again).

You then find the body of the third cohost, who you presumed just left after MePhone fired him.

You had no idea he was missing in the first place.

You return to the mansion with news in hand, only to discover that whilst you were gone, OJ and Nickel also died (alongside possibly others).

No one is convinced it's a prank any more.

Another thing:

There is a possibility of Fan dying which I have just realised. Yes, Bow was responsible for the "Shimmer" noises, but think about it. Fan's hearing noises? What did the others hear before they died?

Plus think of the angst potential. Lightbulb convinced her friends it was okay to leave the mansion; that they'd be safe and they couldn't possibly be hurt, right? No way Lightbulb could be wrong!

Test Tube and Paintbrush return, Fan's body in hand with the news that Toilet also died, possibly years ago, and none of the contestants were aware of it at all.

How fucked up would that be.

Okay in light of the trailer, I have my predictions for who I think may die SPECIFICALLY NEXT EPISODE. (Spoilers ofc 💙)

Already dead - obvious, they're (most likely in Toilet's case) already dead. Either by MephoneX, or by other means.

Oh you're FUCKED. - Soap is likely already dead, Yinyang and Goo didn't appear AT ALL in the trailer as far as I can see, I still retain my theory that Fan might die, and I just feel like at least one of the PM residents is gonna die (and if it had to be anyone then why not Apple, y'know?)

Yeah I can see it - I feel like at least ONE of the Bright Lights is gonna die, so Lightbulb, Test Tube, and Painty are there because it's one of them if not Fan. Considering Salt seems to have a major interaction of some kind with Paper, I feel like she's a possibility. Trophy and Tissues I can just. See it happening? Can't really explain it. Finalists there because if a dogfight happens, one may not live :Sadge:

Maybe? - These are all just characters that I feel are kinda just a... 50/50. No strong feelings either way honestly, some are just.. more in the background, to the point where they probably won't be important enough to be killed? Others... I don't know. I just don't think they'll kill people with ties to already dead contestants, but these people have looser connections than others.

Probably not - As said above, I don't think they'll kill Baseball, Taco, or Paper specifically because they have ties to already dead contestants, and witnessed their deaths personally (and/or they were the ONLY ones to see them die). Marsh.. I feel like there's more to be explored with PM and I don't think they'd kill her off YET. Same with Cobs and the Meeples, maybe in a future part, but it feels too soon.

We're starting with the Purgatory Mansion crew! And ohhh holy FUCK do I have a lot to say about them. First of all just. Fuck. God. Fan rambling during Test Tube's death, trying to keep himself composed?? And his denial of her death, just.. broke me. Painty having to be the one to snap him back into reality and TELL him that she's dead?? AUGHHHH 😭😭

ALSO THE PHONE?? MAN. THAT. THAT HURT.

SPEAKING OF PAINTBRUSH!

Okay I just. I genuinely this this was THE most gut-wrenching scene of II. Period. FUCKING PROPS TO JAZZY MOTHERFUCKING OLIVER CAN I LIKE. MARRY HER?? (/PLATONIC)

Okay so if y'all know me I'm pretty sure you know by now Paintbrush is my favourite OSC character. EVER. Their entire arc, their story, it just. It means so, so much to me. They're the entire reason I discovered I was nonbinary in the first place. They helped me find ways of dealing with anger in a healthy way. This fuckin' paintbrush has done more for me than I think.. ANY other fictional character in the history of ever?? This scene?? I genuinely nearly threw up from how hard I was sobbing.

Also can I just say how glad I am that Jazzy is voicing Paintbrush?? Like I don't think I've mentioned this enough but her vocal skills in this scene were PHENOMINAL and she SERIOUSLY did Painty justice. Good lord when they started crying I screamed out loud. Just. Lightbulb sacrificing herself for them, the whole "you need to be the leader now" thing?? Painty watching whilst all their friends die around them and they just have to sit there?? They can do nothing about it?? FUCK.

Them trying so hard to fight for her?? To SAVE her?? I just. I can't.

Not to mention just. This. Fuck. I'm a hardcore lightbrush shipper through and through so to me this is the equivalent of a child just trying to support their parent through the death of the other parent, but. Even if you see them platonically this hits DEEP. Their best friend, their rock, the silly to their serious, just died in front of them. The only things remaining being her lifeless corpse and a crab that she once gifted to them in memory of their friendship. Plus the symbolism of their flame dying out when Lightbulb dies?? BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOTHING LEFT TO FIGHT FOR?? ADAM ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME.

Second post in this thread of rambles!

(ONCE AGAIN, MAJOR SPOILERS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.)

Onto the Hotel folk! And.. hooh boy.

So.. Mephone still hiding in the closet, coming to terms with his secret being spilled to the finalists, huh? Wasn't expecting Tissues to show up in this scene honestly, but Suitcase finally snapping and the realisation that characters are being killed off when they know too much?? AUGHHHH chef's kiss, mwah! This also foreshadowing Fan's death when he figures out that the egg IS Mephone is honestly hilarious in hindsight. I forgot to mention in the last post but his whole ramble where he infodumps the ENTIRE lore to Paintbrush just from overanalyzing mountains is just. SO Fan.

ANYWAYS we move onto Tacomic reunion! The long awaited kiss and make up between these two finally happened! (Well, not the kiss but yk.)

I honestly thought this scene was pretty cute! And I appreciate Mic for setting Taco straight in her thinking; she apologized for the wrong reasons, and I'm glad she gave Mic an honest apology here. Growth, people! Growth! :D

We also have.. THIS reveal. Gonna be honest, I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I am SO happy that Toilet isn't dead. On the other.. I feel like this is both so out of character, yet so IN character, y'know? I'm not sure how I feel about the whole "MephoneX isn't just a mindless killing machine" thing - I personally think it would've worked better if he was just a servant to Cobs, but that's just my two cents. Toilet doing Cob's bidding? I.. hm.

See, I can't really see him actively murdering the contestants; that doesn't feel like him.. at all! He cared about them just like Mepad did, and I just.. feel like it was so out of character for him??

On the other hand, him wanting to prove himself as a good assistant, being manipulated by A.D.A.M, as well as him (almost accidentally) stepping into the villain role that Mephone initially thought of him?? I CAN see that, and it was well executed, too! I'm also just. REALLY happy to see Toilet - his new voice is great, too! Props to the VA, his line about wires at the end of the video made me CACKLE.

We also have the Toipad crumbs that I was so hoping to get, so I'm ECSTATIC. It was a lot less angsty, too! THEY ACTUALLY SPOKE! :,D

This was something I forgot to mention, but. These two are adorable honestly. I LOVE Pepper supporting Paper, especially after Salt acted WAY out of line. I can see them being besties outside of all of this :3

Finally for the Hotel segment, we have this scene!

..Oh my god. This scene.

YEAH SO HOW ARE WE FEELING, CHAT? GOOD? I KNOW I'M NOT! First of all just. SILVER APPEARING?? Dude the emotional whiplash I got seeing him was just. AUGH MY BOY WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU :((

And all the messages being written on the contestants' faces? A cruel reminder of the stereotypes Mephone created them to be?? And the fact that a vast majority of them were just. Killed off, then and there? YOU'RE TELLING ME STEVE WAS HEARTLESS ENOUGH TO KILL GOO?? LOOK AT HIS FACE!! THAT'D BE LIKE KILLING A PUPPY YOU SADISTIC FUCK??

Yeah safe to say this scene had an impact on me. Also noted how Salt is the "trend setter", whilst Pepper is the "trend follower"? Hm. Interesting. Seems Salt was always meant to be the more important one.

The MeCloud folk! We start off with a good'un - one of my bingo squares checked off! Knife throwing punches at Cobs, ya love to see it!

...Oh.

Yeah I maybe screamed at this, I forgot for half a second that Suitcase tends to hallucinate, and I genuinely thought Knife had just murdered her (more than likely he just gave her a hug or was trying to shake her out of her hallucinations but. Shit dude.)

The whole scene following this was INSANE too - Suitcase's fears that she'll no longer be "useful" to Mephone after the show? Her unwillingness to die?? A PERFECT parallel to the later scenes.

I also really appreciate that Knife seems to be the "weaker" one in this situation! Suitcase has come to terms with the fact that she's not real; she's willing to do anything to stop Cobs at this point, even if it means sacrificing herself! She WANTS to save her fellow contestants, and sees value in them! Knife on the other hand? He can't seem to grasp it yet. He's in denial, yet also seems to have just.. given up. He doesn't care what happens anymore; just wants to "win" and get this all over with. That's all he was built to do, right?

The parallels here are just scrumptious, I LOVE THESE TWO SO MUCH 😭😭

Moving onto the plot twist! I had a feeling the fight would've gone this way, and honestly? I loved every second of it. Them calling out eachothers' insecurities, dealing (literal, in some case) low blows? And then spinning it around on Cobs, showing how naïve he actually is? Shows just how little he knows about their friendship. They are a PERFECT duo, through and through.

NOT TO MENTION?? Knife yet again being there to support Suitcase; them both coming to terms with the fact that this is it, they're both going to die. Deleted out of existence without a trace. They're more than willing if it means stopping Cobs, which is just. This scene is SO powerful, and a PERFECT note for the show to go out on.

In the end, they didn't win the show, but they both definitely won the fight.

...Even if it means they're no longer here.

Final post! Just some loose ends now :)

...So. this is it. The end of II. All that remains is the impact it left on the surroundings. No hotel, no mountains, no wacky objects running around doing challenges. Just a defective phone, a sadistic CEO, and the outline in the grass where everything once stood.

This ending was.. phenominal honestly. It emotionally destroyed me, yes. But it was all so worth it.

Also, is that Lightbulb's phone?? Poor Baxter :( I didn't really consider that he wasn't fabricated, either. Guess both of his parents are gone now :,(

And our final scene. Seems it was all for nothing, right? Everything's gone; deleted. Mephone's back to being trapped with Cobs (who seems to have lost everything). Just two broken entities in a barren wasteland, stripped of everything that gave them a purpose.

..Except it wasn't entirely for nothing. This show, all three seasons? It left an unshakeable impact on the object show community. It's not about what's gone or what "used to be", it's about the memories and everything that's spanned from it all.

It started off as a few kids wanting to make a silly cartoon, but look at how much it's grown! Just like how Mephone started off as an inexperienced host, how the contestants started off as just "stereotypes", but grew into their own people. I think it's the perfect parallel, and the perfect ending.

Adam, Brian, Justin, and the whole II crew? Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. This show means so much to me, and no doubt to many others. Just because the show's over, doesn't mean the end. I think that's a good message. :)

Can I just say, as someone who is part of the PJSekai, TADC, and II fandoms?? October has been a GREAT month for content. It has also been thoroughly, THOROUGHLY angsty. (Spoilers under cut)

Oh look at that. I'm depressed.

Okay I've done SO much II posting over the last 24 hours but god I just. I randomly broke down again whilst thinking about act 2 and I am STILL crying whilst typing this. I genuinely don't think a piece of media has affected me this much.. ever? Just.. everything. The ending, the deaths, the character interactions.. this show means so fucking much to me and I am really, REALLY holding onto the hope that there is an act 3. I honestly don't know what I'm gonna do when this show is fully over, ESPECIALLY if act 2 IS the end. God, I just.. I love them all. So much.

I've just been listening to "my love, mine all mine" on loop and thinking about lightbrush lol, I'm meant to be doing schoolwork - I have essays and a presentation due tomorrow, damnit! But. Fuck. I just needed some time to cry and to think about them because Paintbrush honestly means the fucking world to me. I'll definitely be drawing more fanart once I have some free time but I feel like my non-OSC friends wouldn't get this and my OSC IRLS haven't seen the episode yet as far as I know, so I thought "hey, Tumblr will probably get this!"
