this is a continuation of the imposter AU concept I wrote ɪ ᴀᴍ ʏᴏᴜʀꜱ, ʏᴏᴜ ᴡɪʟʟ ʙʀᴇᴀᴋ ᴍᴇ quite a while ago .... @jaxielous my dude my bro your comment bought me back to one shot of mine and a lightbulb just exploded in my mind.
⚠️Warnings⚠️
being captured and restrained, reader/imposter being seen as the supreme deity of Teyvat, mentions of execution, reader is fairly nonchalant about everything that happens tbh.
A heads up that might be a little hard to understand(?) because I switched around with the POVs. The first-person POV belongs to the imposter and the rest of all, is our favorite and usual second-person POV.
---------------------------
‘If I were to say there might be truth to your claims?’
Isn't that what you wanted after all? To be heard, listened and perhaps maybe even understood. And maybe grasp some things yourself. Things like, what the fuck was going on? Who this Overseer was and why did they want you dead?
You had done nothing, much less anything wrong. When you first arrived in Mondstadt, the people there welcomed you… overwhelmingly so. Surprised gasps and wide eyes aside, it hadn't taken long for a crowd to form around you. The people were kind enough and maybe just a tad bit overzealous. Merchants and sellers beckoning you to their shops, taverns throwing out invitations, everything was… celebratory almost. The people were curious and their barrage of questions endless. A few even asked if you were married or anything.
The questions seemed harmless, but your mind wandered as they kept talking. These people seemed to know you, or at least recognized you as someone… no, scratch that, they all celebrated you…. Or whatever they thought you were.
Until the acting grandmaster showed up, that is.
‘I suggest you surrender yourself, pretender’
You've never seen a gathering backpedal as fast, but then again, you were never accused of identity theft either.
Pretender, Imposter, Fake
That's the term they used to address you… and of whom exactly… you figured out soon after.
Your angsty lookalike.
If anything, you both should be having a serious conversation with your parents instead of attempting homicide. But with them, it was almost as if the option of civility didn't exist at all.
This being wanted you dead and needed the entire world to witness.
Oh, I'm so big and powerful! Watch me incinerate this helpless human.
There was nothing you disliked more than blind-sighted and inflated egos like these.
You were angry… confused, yes, but you were also exasperated. Imagine waking up in your favorite fantasy world and immediately being declared as an adversary. All because of one (1) insecure god that, mind you, had no mention in your perception of the said fantasy world.
The game had no mention of someone like this even existing.
“Then I'd say that you possess an eye for picking out gems”
.
Ninguuang was present during the council the overseer had requested for. Apprehension of the imposter was a task of critical importance, being delivered by their grace themselves. Of course, any order by them was of import, but nobody had missed the edge of urgency and hatred in their tone when they uttered those words.
‘I want it kneeling and I want it alive’
So when news of Barbatos capturing the imposter spread through and was confirmed to be true, it felt like a weight had been lifted off everyone's shoulders… and shifted to another. The entire abode had sped into action in the wake of your arrival and, of course, in preparation for your execution.
You seemed anything but scared or bothered by all that was happening around you. She had her eyes on you during the entire interaction and nothing about you showed an ounce of fear. Curiously enough, there was a lack of hatred and aggression too… A bit too docile, you were impervious and indifferent towards the threats directed at you, just adamant with your saying that you had no clue what was going on and to quote you ‘knew jack shit about this imposter fiasco'’
And your eerie nonchalance was present still, as you stood before her, blindfolded and restrained.
An imposter was someone who attempted to deceive by using an assumed name and identity. The physical resemblance was uncanny, down to every scar and crevice… but what remained unnoticed and unimportant was your knowledge.
What did you know, if anything at all, that is.
You had recognized Ninguuang by voice alone; she was startled by her name leaving your lips but with the crown on Tianquan on herself; you being able to distinguish her wasn't that unlikely of a revelation”
“Great intuition aside, I want to ask…. Why?... No, wait! Let me guess!”
Coming here was a risk and any interaction with you was forbidden, but what could you have possibly done to require such vehemence?
“It's because they basically hijacked the jade chamber, right?… Your life’s hard work, the symbol of your wealth and power, no longer yours. But rather transformed into this abode and-”
You lightly clink the chain around your arms
“-Now turned into a glorified prison too”
Still blindfolded, you turn your gaze toward where you knew your hands were.
“I know this isn't what you imagined for this place and, to be honest.”
With a sudden turn, the clank of the chains follows you as you lean forward, face aligning with the direction of her voice.
“I know I'd be pretty pissed too”
In an instant, your blindfold was off.
You weren't really trying to rile her up. Everything you said was based on your deduced hypothesis and observation. Why else would Ningguang be here, if not for a sliver of doubt? Doubts born out of dissatisfaction, discontent.
Or maybe she was here to… well you couldn't really think of any other reason. She was a woman who clearly valued her time and she wasn't here for idle chit-chat. Still, you didn't know, in your mind, you had connected two dots, but there was no way of a confirmation. As a result, you had laid it all out, your words and thoughts, everything unfiltered.
And the fact that you got her to take off that damned blindfold should amount to something… right?
She stepped closer, and you stood still unmoving… the silence was overbearing as Ningguang stood frozen and staring at you, staring straight into your eyes no less.
And you allowed for it, unblinking and holding her red gaze… for a few seconds, at least before getting bored and turning away.
“Well… are you just going to… you know stare at me like that orrr…..”
.
“Stars”
She had uttered it out without realization, a socialite and one of the highest and greatest in the world of business. The Tianquan has gazed over countless exquisite artifacts. Those red eyes had beheld the most priceless of spectacles, but right now she felt as if she had seen nothing at all. Transfixed and almost for a while it felt as if time itself slowed down. The plethora of constellations, what was and what would be. All the possibilities of what could be and what might be. A sight so divine that it made everything else seem insignificant and irrelevant.
And for the first time ever, she felt compelled to lower her gaze.
“Ninggaung, you are making zero sense right now. I would understand if you too were behaving like others but you are not, hell you are here in front of me… It's not fun to lead someone on, you know-’
“Overseer”
“At least be straight- wait what?”
“You are the one”
You had to be, no one else could possibly-
“Your grace i-”
You could sense the change in her demeanor. Whatever she did or saw clearly has had its effect on her. You might not understand what was going on exactly, but you knew when people were conflicted. When new information challenged and clashed with older beliefs. It's when they're unsure of what to do or how to proceed. It's when the situation is at a whole different level than when they first came into it.
You could see it in the way her eyes widened as she tried to process whatever she discovered.
And for the first time in this world, you allow your usual snide to fade.
“Just…just get me out of here”
—--------------------------------------------------
I want the world to shatter into pieces for you; the same way that you shattered mine.
You're shattering me and I'm breaking down on the floor beneath your feet. I cannot tell where you stand or even if you are looking at my face anymore.
The light that once shone from within has disappeared.
What is left?
A body, an empty shell, a doll that looks like you.
ME?
.
Cloaked figures make their way across the treacherously long hallways, cursing and despising the fact that they had to be the bringers of such news.
There was nothing more shameful than having a traitor amongst their ranks and to think that someone would betray the overseer, the one true sovereign.
And for what? A lowlife pretender like you?
You were nothing but a mock imitation of divinity, and what were you even thinking when you took on their form? That you could somehow replicate the sovereign's grandeur? And as if that would amount to something?
The stars had already shown their favor.
The chosen one was already amongst them.
You were just an annoyance, trifling with things beyond your comprehension.
The reactions regarding your existence had been mixed. For some, your capture was simply a way to further themselves in the overseer’s eyes. Some felt a tang of pity at your inevitable fate but most were simply indifferent. In any case, you were unimportant, a pawn to some, but unimportant nevertheless.
That way, it made even less sense as to why someone would let you escape. And yes, someone let you, because there was no other way you could have possibly freed yourself from the chains of eternity.
But all speculations and thinking halt when they stand at the foot of the throne.
In the audience with them.
“What is it?”
I ask, half knowing and half anticipating.
They answer me with silence, but their hesitation makes up for it in its own way.
“Your grace… the latch was empty..”
They don't have to elaborate; I understand what they are getting at all too well.
"the imposter ... is nowhere to be found."
My heart clenches painfully in my chest and my skin feels cold against itself.
And I can't help but wonder if this is what fear is like; an endless abyss stretching out before us, swallowing all hope.
Or perhaps something akin to a dream that ends in a cruel death.
.
You walk through me with every step as if nothing's changed. Your hand is cold as it brushes mine.
And the world turns dark around us.
I am no one now, just another part of the night.
.
Tell me
Was it wrong of me to want to be something more?
Was I just fated to be your placeholder and nothing more?
If I was truly just a pawn….
ITS NOT FAIR
“Find it”
“Yes, Your Grace.”
—--------------------------------------------------
“You sure they won't find us here?”
You speak, head hung low as sat on the floor. Ningguang freed you and bought you to this… what even was this place? A secret room within the jade chamber? You won't put it past her to have one, hell if you had a floating (magical) house you would horde it with secret passages and whatnot yourself.
“I supervised the construction of this room personally and no one should even possess the record of this room even existing…. Your grace”
She answered in an instant, almost forgetting to add the salutations at the end.
Your face contorts into one of confusion as you turn your head up to address her.
“Just… my name is fine.”
You sigh
“What even is going on? I suddenly get isekai’d here, discover that I have an evil twin that is conveniently some mega powerful being and wants to kill me?”
Hands glide across your face in frustration.
“Not a very good premise… even by my standards…. Do you mind filling in some gaps?”
She doesn't even get a chance as a third voice chimes in.
“Hiding in plain sight, clever if I say so myself.”
You would have been startled if you weren't so tired.
Ninngaung, on the other hand, is forthcoming. Catalyst drawn and geo vision glowing with elemental energy.
You, however, are familiar with the antics of the Akademia lunatic.
“relax… I think he just wants to talk.” you raise your arm as a sign of stoppage before facing Al Haitham.
“Let me guess, you followed us here? And well, if you wanted me captured, you wouldn't have waited for this long.”
Even if he is impressed by your observance, he doesn't show it.
“I wished to converse with the imposter myself so imagine my surprise when I found the arena empty and the Tianquan herself escorting the said condemned.”
“Or you just failed to consider the fact that several others might as well be considering the same.”
The tension in the room was almost palpable, both looking at each other directly. A challenge and a warning both.
You, in between both of them were a mere spectator, before you decided to inject yourself.
“Great minds think alike, and you both are extremely intelligent individuals… I have a question that you both might wanna answer.”
Deep breadth
“Why?”
“Because it makes no sense. All you do is share a face with the Overseer, you should be irrelevant.”
Ouch
“I was curious as to why and considering you are here now I'm sure what the Tianquan discovered must be of relevance.”
You follow his gaze towards her at this.
“They have stars in their eyes”
The belief in her red eyes is frivolous, but the scribe isn't the one for mere words.
“The stars have already chosen the one, another individual like that simply cannot exist.”
“You can see it for yourself.”
You, on the other hand, hear the words, but are inevitably lost.
Lost in translation and literally too.
“Is stars a code word or something?”
The grey-haired man comes to your rescue on this.
“The Overseer comes from the beyond and has a connection with the stars. They are attuned to all the constellations, even the ones that don't exist yet. The stars empower the one they have chosen and are vividly embedded into the overseer’s vision.”
“Magical anime eyes got it.” you exhale and stand up, dusting your shoulder as you do.
“And you say that I have this?”
She nods in acknowledgment and so do you, as you position yourself in front of Al Haitham.
“It would be romantic if it weren't for the fact that my life was on the line here.”
You spread your arms for the theatrics of it.
“Go on, gaze away.”

Hii so uhm never done one of these but I ABSOLUTELY love your work, especially the Creator!Reader ones with drunk creator and Diluc being my favorite atm (seriously DILUC PLEASE DROP FOR ME ALREADY I JUST WANT TO SPOIL YOU) anyway 2 questions, what is SAGAU (completely new to Genshin fandom and barely returning to Tumblr so I need a LOT of updating) and can we have more Creator!reader 🥺
YES!! Diluc come home 😭 I have so much to spoil you with!
SAGAU GUIDE
As for SAGAU, it's a pretty broad AU and it's the acronym for Self-Aware Genshin AU. I was pretty confused when I stumbled into it as well.
The basis of SAGAU is generally about a reader getting transmigrated into the world of Genshin.
Moreover, the reader is usually dubbed as the Creator. Whether Reader is truly a high god-like creator or just an average person in our world depends on the writer. Regardless, because we have great knowledge of the world through the game, the characters see Reader as a sort of creator. This is also supported by the fact that we control them when playing.
Some writers like to imply that MC truly is a god and that they just lived on earth to recover, that's why MC was called back to Teyvat.
SAGAU is the umbrella word for several different AUs; here are some of the AUs I'm aware of:
Soft AU - A classic Creator!Reader arriving in Teyvat. The characters care and love you!
Imposter AU - They hunt you down because you wear the same face as their divine creator. You're seen as a heretic and it's sacrilegious. In truth, you're the true creator but you're too confused to understand why your beloved characters are like this!
Reverse Imposter AU - You're an actual imposter in this one. There's a true divine god and they're not very happy with you having a similar face.
Cult AU - Supports the violence in the Imposter AU. Their worship of the creator is cult-like, bordering yandere, so they hunt you down. It makes more sense for our loving characters to be violent this way.
Villain AU - Usually after the imposter AU. Reader turns to either the Fatui, the Abyss, Boss enemies, or goes solo as a villain. They're angry for being hunted down and they finally use their god-powers to fight back.
Consort AU - More romance-based. Your godliness is recognized and they want you to have a consort (this may breach into a Harem AU).
Unnamed - characters are aware that they're in a game and that you play them through a screen.
Flower AU - Teyvat is sensitive to creator reader, and nature yiels to them. Can be called Disney AU or other similar things.
Friendship lvl AU - their likability or ability to recognize you as their god relies on your friendship level with them in-game
Credits to all the writers who started a respective AU; I'm not quite sure who started who but if you'd want acknowledgment just tell me :>
The imposter AU is one of the more popular SAGAU works. Some writers (including myself) like to think that Teyvat has a cruel fake god ruling them, that way I won't need the Cult AU and my beloved characters won't be so wild. The work you just read was Soft AU :)
Other SAGAU terms/ideas that you may need to know are:
Golden blood - reader bleeds gold as a sign of their godliness/other-word identity.
Star-themed - reader may have star-like qualities in their eyes and blood. Used as a replacement from the gold blood au.
Vessels - When we control them while playing, the characters believe you are using them as vessels to see the world.
Acolytes - Basically your worshippers.
Consort - chosen spouse of a ruler.

And finally — so happy you like my work! 🥰 and there'll definitely be more creator!reader. Thank you very much!
Note that I'm actually not aware of the origins of SAGAU and most AUs, I entered the Tumblr genshin fandom pretty late too :> but hope my general knowledge helps!
I've been trying to find this 😭 this one's a good idea
Imagine an SAGAU imposter AU with gold blooded creator!reader but with a twist. The characters know the creator has golden tears of pain and gold blood but what they don’t know is the gold isn’t visible until it complete dries in open air. Poor reader is chased though the plains of each land and shunned by all except the very young, very elderly and typically hostile creatures that live across Teyvat. While on the run in Inazuma they are caught by the Tenryou Commission and tortured (like the fake vision smith but worse) for days. Various government members from each nation join in the punishment. The red blood and crystal teardrop splatters are constantly being layered and added to so they can never fully dry. Itto and his gang hear about a tortured prisoner and go to bust them out after another session when they know they’ll be alone for a while - not recognising them as the ‘imposter’ until much later on.
The Tenryou torturers + Sara arrive for another session only to find the room empty and immediately sound the alarm about their escape. They’re so focused on finding the escaped reader that they never clean the room they used for several days on end and by the time they return it’s all dried. Reader is found running from the Arataki gang in fear they’ll be turned in and end up getting caught anyway. They’re dragged back to the room through the centre of Inazuma City but when they arrive there they see the floor and walls splattered and layered with thin swirling layers of solid gold. By this point the reader has given up fighting and slumps over in their captors’ grip, oblivious to the horror dawning on everyone’s faces as they realise what they’ve done, the crimes they’ve committed and how badly they f**ked up >>>>:)
AAAAAAA YES OMG
i absolutely love this idea aaaaaa
running through the nations, leaving splattering trails of gold far behind in your wake. occasionally spotted by a local child, recalled to parents and waved off as a wild imagination.
it was all a big misunderstanding. if they had only waited just a little longer, they would have seen it sooner. but they didn't. and now you're standing defeated before them, in front of the very cell you had previously escaped. the one you endured horrible and utterly unthinkable torture for hours, days, weeks on end. your body still ached with the echoes of the endless pain. your blood stained and seeped into the stone dungeon, now a shimmering spectacle of a room. a masterpiece with you front and center as the guards shakily loosen their grip, stepping back in horror.
they finally see, with grief unmatched, their creator. head turned back, confused and lifeless, and the painted wall behind them their golden wings.
i have a very vivid image of that scene in my head and i cannot descibe it well but holy woww yes your mind is brilliant thank you for sharing this with me
updated til ch5. gonna read this again soon ♥️
Who is the real Creator?
Sorry this took so long I have so much to say but I have no idea where to start. I hope you guys are okay with how it ended and the decision I made. This is a yandere au but with Nahida it is platonic (and the rest of the underage characters).
-TW: cult au, yandere, impostor au, mentions of being hunted down, mentions of trauma, self harm (nothing major)
-Gn reader and darling (please tell me if I mess this up message me and I will fix it)
part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, this is part 5
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reader began to unpack their stuff, it was mostly clothes and books, everything else like cooking utensils was unnecessary as there were attendants who would handle stuff like cooking and cleaning. Reader guessed that was the perks of being an Archon.
The room was a bit of a mess the large doors were open and the boxes littered the floor with various trinkets and Readers personal belongings.
One should not look down on how much stuff one can gather, even in a foreign world. Soon they would be able to write poems with how well their vocabulary had gotten.
Reader took out a shirt and folded it neatly putting it inside the nicely carved wardrobe. They felt a little out of place in the spacious and very fancy room. Yet there was a certain charm towards it, Reader especially loved the tall glass windows that let the sunlight in.
"I see you are already settling in."
"Oh, Nahida! I did not see you there, yeah I thought it was best to do it while I could."
"You know there are attendants if you ever need help, please don't feel too bad it's their job after all."
"Well if you put it that way. . . I guess I could use a hand with the rest of the clothes."
Reader had underestimated how many clothes they had, it was boring to fold them and sort them all. They had bought most of their clothes and personal items as both Nahida and Reader did not know the extent of the tension that Darling's reveal would cause.
They looked through the boxes and one object caught Readers eye. It shined as the sun reflected on it. Reader took it out and observed it. This was a gift Darling had given them, it was a Fanoos that was intricately carved and made out of polished gold. The lantern's glass was made out of various colors in geometrical shapes. Overall it was very beautiful something Reader would like.
Speaking of. . .
"Nahida what will happen to Darling after. . . you know?"
Nahida watched the lantern that was in their hand without saying anything and then looked at Reader with a smile.
"It was decided that they would go to an isolated temple in Inazuma for their own safety. Even if they are innocent we can't be too careful what others might do."
Well, at least Darling would be safe there was no need to worry after all they had the Raiden shogun. Inazuma would be far away though.
They looked at the Fanoos, it would be pretty to add it near the nightstand. . . There was already a lamp there, so they decided to put it on a bookshelf instead.
"It looks very nice on the shelf there," said Nahida.
"Yeah, I am glad you think so too," replied Reader.
Reader saw a familiar hat figure silhouette from the open door. It was Wanderer as they had expected, curiously he was carrying several moving boxes as well.
"That is right I forgot to tell you Wanderer decided for extra security to move in here as well, I saw no reason to turn him down."
"O-oh but is it fine for him to just move like that because of me?"
Wanderer must have heard the conversation as he turned to look directly at them. He nodded toward Reader who gave him a small wave. After the status of Readers creator-hood was revealed Wanderer had taken to being polite to Reader but after some more nagging on their part, he had mellowed down a bit. He did tease them from time to time as was normal between them.
Reader hoped with time they could go back to the usual scowling Wanderer who did not hesitate to say what was on his mind.
However, that did make Reader ponder why he turned polite while Nahida stayed the same.
Reader must have been staring at Nahida as the Archon looked at them with a tilted head.
"I see you two are talking behind my back, not very nice I must say."
"We were just talking about your new living arrangements," she looked at Wanderer with an innocent look, "you know, it made their grace feel really bad."
Reader snorted at Nahida's jab at getting into Wanderer.
Wanderer looked surprised but sighed looking at Reader with a sincere expression they did not expect to get today.
"There is no need to concern yourself with that I chose to move out of my own violation, no one forced me to."
Reader gave an awkward smile and wrung their hands together.
"Alright, but I still feel bad-," Wanderer sighed at Reader, "let me finish! I feel bad so if you need any help come to me okay?"
Wanderer looked like he was about to turn down the offer until Nahida interjected.
"Actually since you both are moving in how about we all take a shopping trip to buy decorations, you can then ask Reader for advice on what to buy, two birds in one stone."
"A shopping trip sounds nice," Reader said and looked at Wanderer with hopeful eyes.
Wanderer closed his eyes and sighed.
"It seems you won't let this go, fine then let me put these stuff down and we can go down to the market."
Nahida and Reader looked at each other with a smile. It was going to be a fun trip.
.
.
.
The sunset this day was a bright crimson and was fading into orange at the horizon. There was no cloud in sight. the people were gathered near the central temple in Sumeru. One of the Creator's temples. Reader grimaced.
They adjusted their hood once again feeling nervous not to get caught. Wanderer held their hand more tightly and they gave a squeeze back feeling thankful.
Soon one of the heads of the religion came out near the podium.
The people were confused and some were curious but it was clear soon everyone would find out what the gathering was for.
Nahida stepped up as well, and she began to speak. Then the priest took over and Reader watched everyone's face turn to shock and outrage.
Impostor.
Reader clenched their jaw and held Wanderer's hand tighter. He did not flinch or let go.
Nahida and the priest calmed the people down in the end but there was still much tension left.
By the end of it Reader and Wanderer left the place.
.
.
.
They met Nahida outside of a meeting room. She looked exhausted and Reader's heart ached. With clumsy hands, they took out a juice bottle they had.
"You look tired, please take some."
Nahida gave a small smile and nodded.
"Thank you."
Her voice was small and a bit hoarse no doubt from all the talking. Once again Reader felt awful not being able to do anything, especially since Nahida was a dear friend.
"Please don't worry about me I am fine, as an Archon this is one of the many duties I must attend to," her face turned more serious looking at Reader, "I am afraid we are not done yet this is your turn now."
Reader's shoulders squared and they nodded. Right, it was their turn now. No more running away and this time they were not alone either. Reader looked at their friends and gave a reassuring smile.
Nahida smiled and nodded at them before turning and opening the door.
It wasn't as intimidating as they had imagined when they entered the room. It was decided for Reader's sake they would ask the acolyte and Archons who would be able to attend to come and not tell anything of the importance of the meeting. Naturally since the recent announcement from the church most would be busy, only those who had time would come and it would not be a large group. It was better for Reader to start off small Nahida had recommended and they agreed.
The Archon’s that were able to attend were unsurprisingly Venti and Zhongli. Yet most people in the room would be unaware of the importance of such figures.
As they entered Nahida stepped in front of them while Wanderer walked behind them, they felt rather safe this way.
The others who had arrived were Diluc, Lisa, Cyno, Kujo Sara and Chlorinde. Quite the cast had come. Now all of their eyes were on the trio but mostly on Reader as they stood in front.
Nahida stepped up to speak but Reader beat them to it putting a hand in front of her, all while still looking at their audience.
The sky outside was just as red there was an odd silence in the wind. The shadows on the acolytes' faces deepened and their eyes became glaring embers of accusation evident on their eyes.
Impostor.
They had thought a lot about what to say, and there were many words and accusations they wanted to scream at the top of their lungs until Reader's voice became hoarse and dry. Yet what were words when actions could speak louder?
They took out the same kitchen knife from before on that day from their pocket. They did not bother to look at their reactions. Reader took out their palm and cut it and watched as it bled a brilliant gold. They were still unused to the sight themselves and took a moment to admire it.
They heard a sharp breath. Before anyone could speak they threw the knife onto the table.
Reader then left the room.

some sagau (impostor au specifically) brainrot again
SPOILERS BTW. BEIDOU LORE?, ABYSS AND KHAENRI’AH LORE (interlude chasm chapter??) btw a lot of this is my opinion
1. imagine the “impostor” hiding in dragonspine and adventurers going in are like “is dragonspine a little bit warmer or am i tripping” bcs theyre there
2. i feel like kazuha and beidou would be great allies in the au. like. kazuha can feel the wind right. so it goes like “THATS THE CREATOR THATS THEM OH SHIT OOH SHIT GO GO GO” when looking at them. and so if kazuha believes, beidou might too.
i dont feel like she’d really care about those gods as much as others. and you’re saying you don’t know about any “almighty creator” anyway. she’d probably know what it feels to be shunned for something you can’t control.
(edit!!: FORGOT TO MENTION SOMETHING!!! so it'd be really easy to for them to keep you safe cuz yknow. they're on a ship a lot. you can travel and live safely nad freely!!!!! 🥰🥰)
3. how does the abyss know you’re the creator in most fics? they were humans before, right?? like, i can understand elemental beings, like slimes, spectres, etc. but they aren’t like them. also weren’t they a godless nation? idk just i’ really curious
kinda part 2 Drabble to my hidden creator and imposter deal thingy idk… er enjoy though
Inspired by a comment I received too so :3
—
While you faked your identity, your friendship with the imposter grew stronger. They enjoyed your presence just as much as you enjoyed theirs. The others didn’t enjoy that though, feeling a tinge of jealousy towards you for getting so close to their lord (which is funny). They begin shunning you from outings with the imposter, keeping you away from them as much as possible.
Although your desperate attempts to keep your identity a secret from all the characters, some seemed to realize who was the true fake. Most went to you, encouraging you to fight off the imposter. While others wanted to kill the imposter themselves. You felt discomforted by their actions, telling them to quit it. They abide to your word, even though they still felt betrayal from the imposter, your friendship with them made it even more painful to endure.

Imposter: Good to see you again! I brought some of your favorite things.. here!
You: ohh, Thanks a lot! I picked you some flowers while i walked here!
Characters seething in the back, gritting their teeth.
Imposter: sorry about them.. are you sure you don’t wanna reveal yourself?
You: ehh, I’m okay. They can cry about it later, instead let’s enjoy our day together!
Imposter: hmm.. okay! (^_^)
Grisha Kaz
Okay, there are a lot of really good stories about grisha Kaz, (the majority of them sun summoner kaz) and one notably about being a tidemaker turned corpsewitch, but I personally think it would be really funny if Kaz really was an Inferni, but people mistook him for a Sun Summoner. Like he got really good at being discreet about it, and changing the ratios of heat/light as neccesary, with hidden flintstones and mirrors in his gloves or something, and then The Darkling stumbles upon him and thinks he's the Sun Summoner. And Kaz is like dude no I'm an Inferni, are you delusional?, and The Darkling is all patronizingly "no you're mistaken, Inferni's can't do what you do, you're really a mythical creature called a sun summoner. I know it's you i can feel it in my soul we were made to be together" And Kaz is like dude wtf??? But The Darkling ignores any comments made because he's older so he obviously knows what he's talking about the baby sun summoner is just confused, he's four hundred years old, he wouldn't be tricked that easily. And then before Kaz can protest, he gets ferried away like some lost princess.
Of course Kaz immediately Kazzle Dazzles and goes "revealing myself didn't work. i could run and be discreetly hunted by the Darkling, probably lose him, but also all my work, reveal myself as Inferni when I am introduced and most likely die for the Darkling's pride and the king's rage...or I could turn this into a heist, make a profit off of this and see how long it takes for them to figure it out". He subsequently hires Inej and Jesper as bodyguards/emotional support assets and sends Nina, Wylan and Matthias to investigate the rumors about a skiff being flooded with light and the name Alina Starkov. Cue Genya Inej friendship, Jesper becoming the Little Palace's new local heartthrob, the Crows running around stealing valuables, Alina Starkov being sneaked Into the palace (as a Crow to help Kaz's charade, since she doesn't want to be the chosen one), Kaz actually giving better ideas to help with anti-grisha sentiment than 'a)expand the fold and become king b) c) d) e) and then they'll all be sorry', The Darkling having a midlife crisis about Kaz being immune to his manipulations and Bahgra immediately seeing through Kaz’s charade but helping him anyway because this is the funniest thing to happen to Aleksander since that time he tripped over his own shadows, accidentally said "I'm pregnant" instead of "I'm embarrassed" and convinced their entire camp he was a girl for the rest of the time they were there. (i know spanish isn't a language used in the grisha verse, but idc)
Me, about to cry because I still have to do homework due tomorrow but I just found out about the Genshin Imposter AU and I want to read all of it.
