while i'm finishing up things on this account... i just thought i'd share this little tidbit of information with y'all. so, yes, blamore does move his 'tail' around like a cat's. however — will he let you touch it? no, he will not, LOL

OH, also, here's an important portrayal note that i thought i would post here just for reference: blamore has a southern french accent since it was born in the southeastern city of annecy, and he spent most of his childhood there + BOTH of it's parents are french. and something that i think is sort of interesting about it is that it is considered to be a 'singing accent,' or l’accent chantant. this is because those with a southern one are thought to be more 'musical' and 'soft' than it's northern counterpart. the southern french accent adds a soft, nasal “g” sound to words that end with “-ain.”

thus, words like pain have a different enunciation coming from it. and all the syllables are pronounced in a word, including letters that are usually mute like final -e, is something that is also done by those with a southern french accent. so it is quite obvious that he is not a native gothammite BUT man's doesn't care because he's perfectly happy with his french heritage and if someone brings it up... it'll probably just be like, ' oh, yeah. i was born in annecy so i have an accent. pretty cool, huh? ' and he'll just eyeball you for a bit because a couple of parisians had made fun of him for it in the past SO y'all better be nice... or elseee / j LMAO nah, i'm kidding, but fr please don't say anything negative about it okok

your muse and blamore sunbathing together because he actually NEEDS to spend time in the sun to keep the plants + lichen that's now a part of him alive would be surprisingly relaxing, i think. because despite it being usually pretty nosy / pushing the boundaries of what your muse might allow it to do around them... he actually gets sleepy as they're photosynthesizing and depending on what level of friends they are with blamore ( yeahhh, it has it's own little stages of friendship as well as barton (': ) , he may pull them closer to him using his tail just to use your muses' shoulder as a pillow ☠️ so yeahhh, if you want a half-human and half plant-monster cuddled up to your muse, then it is your person because it will be so down for doing that if he's really close friends with someone LOL

i feel like it's fellow rogues would just come to accept at some point that blamore is going to be eating around them at least 40-45% of the time around them, because his metabolism is literally just THAT hyperactive that it pretty much is always carrying snacks on his person. which is,, well, really not so good on one hand. but on the other hand, if blamore likes you, then you may just get free snacks from him... so yay for that??? idk LOL

alright, but i don't mean to be blamore's hype woman here (actually... / j nah i'm kidding LOL well, mostly), but it honestly is amazing just how fresh he smells like ALL the time. like you'll never catch this plant-monster slacking whenever it comes to personal hygiene even though its body is, well... different now, for lack of better words. and i say that in neither a good way or a bad way because it's like i said on my other account, he is quite pretty — albeit in an arguably haunting way.

i can just imagine that the flora growing on it makes things harder for him to like take baths and stuff, so he probably just takes short showers and tries to at least partially cover them up in some way so they don't drown. but trust me when i say both his hair and the way he smells in general is HEAVENLY + very much like rain and sort of gives off an herbal scent as well because of the soap it uses tehe

blamore having to wear things like back-less shirts / lower - cut tops and just items of clothing that will allow him SOME sort of free range of movement for his tail in general + will actually not constrict his rib cage may just make him a fashion icon y'all... sorry, i don't make the rules ( nah i'm just joking around with you guys LOL... mostly )

true friendship is making pot brownies as a gift for someone using marijuana you grew in your garden xxx (Blamore would do this. He would make pot brownies for his friend if it knew they partaked in edibles JSJSJ)

currently living for it being kind of obvious whenever blamore is annoyed and/or angry with someone because his tail will just... flick out to the side aggressively, or swipe from side-to-side while it's hanging kind of low like a cat's whenever they're getting angry

did y'all know that there are 31 pairs of nerves in the spine? because just in case you didn't, now you dooo LOL and i promise y'all that this is relevant because i swear, one way that you can tell that burgeon really trusts you is if it allows you to touch its spine / tail, because it is VERY sensitive. so, although it doesn't hurt for people to touch it, it makes that area feel very tingly. or... and i'll put this under a cut because it may be a bit ✨️ spicy ✨️

or, depending on how blamore views you (specifically if it's in a romantic / sexual light), then it may just turn him on. but even if he does 'like like' you, if you touch it for an prolonged amount of time, it may tell you to back off or protect it from being touched any longer. so you've got to strike the right balance with touching it and not doing so if you're physically intimate with burgeon.

blamore adopting a little orange tabby kitten despite the fact that the rumors are true that they ARE menaces because it found them trying to hide from a predator in it's garden is absolutely something he'd do. and also, for no reason at all, blamore naming the kitten 'professor pancake' just makes too much sense for it's character LMAO like lookout, gotham, you're about to meet the infamous professor pancake in a tiny wizard hat that blamore made for him 😂

i was talking about this a bit with ramone, but y'all know how i mentioned that it's likely that blamore has one of those 'special containment' cells that villains like killer croc and man-bat in arkham have as well? wellll... i can guarantee y'all that on one of the rare occasions that that they have let it into a common room (because it's basically treated as if it's in unofficial solitary confinement in arkham a majority of the time unfortunately), blamore was SO desperate to get out of there because they put a power dampener on him and because arkham is just terrible in general, that he pulled out one of the plants growing in his ribs (which is considerably painful for it to do, by the way) to give to ivy.

and she of course proceeded to break them all out of there because she can turn even just a little plant into something capable of tearing the asylum apart so... yeah JSJSJ whenever blamore is desperate, it gets inventive, and that may be even more dangerous than when it has it's powers because at least you kind of know what to expect with them — but whenever it's robbed of them... it can become particularly nasty, let's just say that ☠️

ahh, don't mind me, y'all — i'm just thinking about how, in my canon, nico morselli (the doctor who blamore is allies with AND also is friends with but don't tell him that, shhh lol) was the first person that it actually learned to trust after it's transformation. and i say this because, in the first few months after it's transformation, it's nerve pain was actually even worse than it can be now. and due to how blamore's metabolism is different... nico felt like formulating a specific type of anti-convulsant for it's condition was the ideal option for blamore because there was a LOT of uncertainty around how much meds he should give it. so, in the meantime while nico worked on a drug that he knew wouldn't possibly O.D. it (man's also has some experience in biochemistry + he's also got a degree in that) those first few months were roughhh.

this is because he primarily used nerve blocks for it's pain which are actually injections that are given through the spine and as you all may know, blamore's spine is like a HUGELY sensitive spot for him. and so it doesn't let anyone it doesn't trust touch it + with this in mind, it didn't trust nico at first, but for an MD with some questionable patients (he's been the primary doctor of someone in the mob for years); nico actually seems to have his heart in the right place a good amount of the time because he comforted blamore every single time he gave him one of those injections 😭 because they never got any easier for blamore to take, and i don't mean nico just talked him through it, either. man's held it's hand and everything. and for that, he's a real one

ALSO, i am going to start working on drafts again today! it's just that, for whatever reason, whenever i tried to write this week — it felt like i couldn't really... think up anything and the things that i did, i didn't think were good at all. but i thought i would talk a little bit about blamore's weaknesses today; and one of the biggest ones is fire. especially around his ribcage area, as that is where a lot of his flora is and plants are especially vulnerable to catching flame, unfortunately.

plus, (and i know i haven't talked about this much, BUT) whenever you have an overactive metabolism, one of the usual symptoms of this is an increased sensitivity to heat and so it would reallyyy affect it badly if it somehow got caught on fire. plus, fire is just VERY dangerous to people in general, of course. and it's still half-human so if you + blamore happen to friends as well as stuck somewhere on fire, i'm going to be honest with y'all: he's going to go 'yoink' to your muse and scoop them up before running JSJSJ because there ain't no way it's gonna deal with that if it doesn't have to

sooo... what if i told y'all that, when i say that one of blamore's powers is bone manipulation, that it could literally make a DRILL made out of bone through it's god damn hand / around it's whole arm and could summon bones from inside of it's skin? because it honestly is one heck of a superpower to have, though with this comes weaknesses like the more bones he summons, the more energy he depletes — and thus it can become physically exhausting rather quickly for it to use it's powers. so, it's got to use its powers very wisely and prefers to end fights as quickly as possible as a result.

but whenever it comes to adding bones to its tail + contorting it's ribcage then things get a little bit more complicated,, because these are simple things for it to do in comparison to literally pulling random bones OUT of it's skin and such. though if you were to break its ribs, then it would hurt and let me tell you, there is a reason why blamore NEVER let's people it doesn't trust touch its tail because if the person it is fighting is capable of breaking any of the bones in it... it is going to hurt with a capital ' H. ' but yeah, i just thought i'd share this little tidbit with y'all about its bone manipulation power. because once again; blamore isn't invincible, though he is stronger than some may give him credit for (':

just a gentle reminder that THIS is how big the spines around blamore's neck are whenever he doesn't shrink them... so, it's pretty much a surefire way for it to keep other people away from him, NGL ☠️ (unless you are trying to get poked in the eye JSJSJ / j i'm kidding, i'm kidding (,: but blamore really does have several natural defenses against any 'aggressors,' i guess you could say, and it's spines REALLY add to it's uncannyness whenever they're at full - length ).

today, for no particular reason... i wanted to talk more in depth about how blamore's legs look now after its transformation — i suppose because i realized 'modeled' might be kind of a vague way to put it? idk, LOL, but here i gooo!! so, just to provide y'all with a visual, this is one example of what the tree usually looks like:

now this tree does seem to have some cracks (???) in the bark, so it appears that the cambium layer of it mighttt be showing through in some spots, which is the part of trees that's directly underneath the bark. and i think this is accurate to how its legs look with ridges in between pieces of bark-like structures on his legs. and i say 'bark-like' because they do resemble the jagged shape of bark, like in the picture, and are colored similarly as well; BUT the bark he has on his legs is only a little coarse, unlike with the tree itself which is generally known for having an overall rigid texture to it.

though the outside bark in both cases is thin and because of that, it allows blamore more free range of movement. because if it was so strong that it didn't want to budge, then that'd make things harder for it to move (,: these types of thorns are also something that it can trigger to 'pop out' of it's legs so to speak when he's feeling threatened, so there's also that. yeah... blamore's anatomy is JSJSJ it's a little bit crazy, NGL, but it's trying its best to get used to it

i just know that blamore's hammock is huge because it's a cuddler and not only likes doing so with his partner, but with friends as well. though, of course, the kind of cuddling with friends would be a bit different; and it would wanna make sure they're comfy with the idea first. but goshhh... i can just imagine blamore trying to comfort a friend this way with it's arms around them + while murmuring to them that it's 'gonna be okay,' which makes me wanna WEEP 😭 i love him sm your honor (even though blamore has certainly committed his own fair share of atrocities but SHHH)

okay, but i can just see that because blamore is canonically still new to gotham's underground, that a fair amount of people might not know what he really looks like. and because of that... some people might go off of the very vague descriptions that have gone around of him, that states it's either SUPER hard to look at with how its ribs stick out of it and its spine can grow in size + blamore can literally strangle someone with it if he's able to get a grip on them. or that it's morbidly kind of beautiful with all of the flora on it,, like, there's no in between LOL. and as a result — i bet y'all can imagine people's shock when they finally see him, only to discover that he has kept his good looks for sure to the point where it's almosttt possible to forget that it's a plant monster.

like, idk about you all, but... i think he can kind of get it y'know LMAO not to brag or anything OFC. i'm just saying that because one of it's powers being bone manipulation; and with that, wearing clothing such as robes that it can easily shrug his arms out of and such is probably a common occurrence for it now that i think about it so that he doesn't rip it + it'd just be graceful as hell to see blamore wearing these billowy robes that trail down behind it in my humble opinion okok
