Am I the only one that will take a wholesome animated film and make it dark, disturbing, and heavy with an AU? I can’t be the only one.
I have one for Trolls World Tour called Trolls Origins. Trollex is the son of a racist king who tries to commit mass genocide, he goes after the kingdoms one by one, even completely eliminating the disco trolls and (almost) the jazz trolls. Until the king was murdered. Now in the present, Barb’s ship crashes before she can get to the techno trolls. Trollex ends up saving her from drowning and the adventures that ensue are mostly challenging and threatening for the mental for each character. Jeez there’s a lot.

Wanted to practice some more and experiment with some comic styles and made this. If I had to nitpick I do wish we had a proper battle of the bands type of music number where we got a mashup version of songs.
So here King Trollex distracts Queen Barb while his people evacuate and has them flee from their home with the string and seek help from another neighbouring kingdom.
Was listening to ‘Aerodynamic’ Dunisco Remix while thumbnailing. Imagined the guitar riff as Barb trying to overpower King Trollex’s music [ youtube.com/watch?v=SUoaLuhlLGs ]
Blorbo Convention did NOT go well this year.

Personal headcanons for this au
- Riff is psychology major
- Barb has mommy issues
-Poppy has daddy issues lowkey but hides them with optimism and shit
-Trollex is a barb hater mostly cause he couldn’t just “rebuild” like everyone else could.
- Sid fret is Amps older brother (this is Amp btw)
-Poppy doesn’t believe in shame.
-Branch has tons of it
-Barb is a Mitski Stan
-Riff is a man hoe to his core
-Carol has known Barb since she was 3 she somehow doesn’t know that she and Barb are bffs , the day she finds out she will be the most hyper she’s ever been
-Riff is Barbs make shift therapist against her will 99.9% of the time.
-Barb has BPD
-John Dory has OCD
- Branch has autism
-Poppy has ADHD
-Poppy often times gets jealous cause branch is “hot” in pop village , sometimes she wishes he stayed gray so she’s the only one who would like him. Poppy has voiced this to Barb , Barb told her too go talk to Riff.

So I'm going to tell you about the trolls au I have, or more what the main character powers are
So the main character are Trollex, barb, poppy and branch,
Trollex: he can manipulate water but he can't spawn it, his body is made of water so he can turn into a water and hide, he is also controll ice a little bit but if he stays in a really cold place, he will freeze
When Trollex is upset or using his power his eyes turn fully green ( like the picture below this) and he can throw water up ( Don't ask why)
Barb: she can spawn, breath and manipulate fire, she is really weak to water causes like Trollex her body is made of fire, so if water touches her it will hurt her, so she crys blood,
Branch: he has future vision, ( like garnet from Steven universe), he normally gets headaches form them, his eyes turn purple when he using his power,
Poppy: she had shape-shifting, she can turn into anyone or anything, but she has to know what the things she turning into looks like really well
