Emotion Prompt: Jodie
Jodie is feeling FRUSTRATED because of Jason.

“An’ then he just...asked her to move in. Without even talking to me! And they started making out in the kitchen, so I left. I mean, I’m his sister. I’m his twin sister. We’ve done everything together since we were *hic* born, for Watcher’s sake. We were partners, you know? But ever since we moved to this stupid town, he’s been going off on his own, you know? Like, leaving me behind. Doing stuff without asking. I wouldn’t mind so much except that it’s all, like, sexy stuff, you know? Like I caught them on the couch. And then he kicked me out last night. And now she’s moving in, and I bet I’ll end up seeing them both naked again. And my couch is gonna be...*hic* ruined, so that’s a loss.” She paused to throw back the rest of her drink and signal for another one. The bartender gave her an odd look, but poured her another glass. Jodie took a swig and continued.
“And if I brought someone home -- if I did what he’s doing -- he’d get all kinds of mad at me. Except lucky him, I can’t get my boyfriend to woohoo with me. He’s just tooooo niiiice. He probably wouldn’t move in with me if I asked him to, because he’s sooo nice and sooo good. ‘I don’t want to do things for the wrong reasons, Jodie.’ That’s what he said to me. Well maybe I do want to do things for the wrong reason, John! Maybe I want to woohoo your brains out and not care because if Jason can screw that girl, I can screw people too. Maybe I want you to...to...” She faded into mumbling and took another swig of her juice. “I dunno what I want, but it’s not what I have right now...”
The redhead beside her grinned. “Well, you are in a bar, hon. Plenty of good looking sims around here, even if it is only 2:30 in the afternoon.”
Jodie looked around briefly then shook her head. “No. I need John. I’m gonna call John again. I need him.” She picked up her phone and dialed. It went to voicemail. Again.

Jodie kept calling John as the afternoon wore on.
Jodie: John, come get me! I’m *hic* still here, at the Card Shack. I wanna be with you, though! Come get meeeee!
And, at 5 pm, John finally came.

Jodie: John! You’re here!
John: Sorry it took so long. I couldn’t leave work.
Jodie: Doesn’t matter...
John: I think you’ve had enough to drink for tonight, don’t you? Why don’t you let me take you home?
Jodie: *murmurs incoherently and buries her face in his shoulder*

Yeah, going home wasn’t a good idea.

Sheila slunk off to bathe (and have a good cry). Jodie let Jason have it! She was drunk and she was pissed as hell!
Jodie: What the hell! I leave for...for hours and I come back and your stupid girlfriend has burned down my kitchen!
Jason: Hey! It wasn’t her fault. She walked away for a minute and the stove exploded! She could’ve gotten hurt!
Jodie: She set my kitchen on fire! How can you want her to move in here?
Jason: Because I love her!
Jodie: Bullshit!
Jason: No! You know what’s bullshit? You trying to run my life! I’m tired of you, Jodie! You think you know better than everybody else. You’re so stuck up! Any time I try to do anything, you criticize me. I’m sick of it! You think you’re so high and mighty, but I’m not the one who’s drunk at six at night!
Jodie: She set my kitchen on fire!!!
Jason: If you don’t like her, then why don’t you pack your stuff and move out?
Jodie: Because it’s my goddamn house!
At this point, John stepped in. He laid a gentle hand on Jodie’s shoulder.
John: Jodie, you’ve gotta calm down. I know you’re mad -- and you’ve got every right to be -- but yelling isn’t going to solve anything. That...woman...is in your bathroom right now, so why don’t you go grab some clean stuff and I’ll take you to my place? You can clean up there, spend the night, and then we can figure out this whole moving in and out situation tomorrow.
For a moment it looked like Jodie was going to fight him. Then she sagged against him. He wrapped his arms around her.
John: Come on. I’ll help you. Let’s get out of here.
Without another word to Jason, John helped Jodie pack her stuff and they left.

Jodie was drunk, tired, and upset about the fire when John got her to his house. He carried her into the guest room.
John: You should get some sleep. We can talk about what to do next in the morning.
Jodie: *grabbing him* Hey, don’t go! You said if I came to your house, you’d sleep with me. I’m here now. Sleep with me!
John: Jodie, you’re drunk.
Jodie: *whines* C’mon! You promised...
John: *sighs* I didn’t promise anything. I told you last night, I want to do this for the right reasons. Not because you want to show me off, not because you’re drunk and don’t know what you’re saying. If we slept together tonight, even if it was just sleeping, you’d regret it in the morning. I want you to wake up after our first night together feeling happy.
Jodie: I just want you...
John: *stands* Good night, Jodie. I’ll see you in the morning.
Jodie curled up on the bed, feeling lonely and miserable. Deep down, she knew John was right, but in the moment, it still hurt.

The next morning, Jodie and John talked over breakfast.
Jodie: Thanks for getting me out of there last night. I wouldn’t have wanted to stay there after that.
John: Of course. I wasn’t about to let you stay there after that fire. Are you going to go back today?
Jodie: No. I got all the stuff I want last night. I’m never going back there. Jason can have the house and the furniture and everything. I can’t deal with his drama anymore.
John: I understand. I’m sorry he did that. He had no right. It was your house too. If you want, I can put you in touch with a lawyer who can help you at least get your half of the money back for the property.
Jodie: I’ll think about it. I just want to be done, though.
John: I understand.
Jodie: I guess I’ll have to look for a new place now...
John: Actually...Would you want to stay here with me?
Jodie: Really?
John: Really. I have the room, and I’d love to have you.
Jodie: Do I still have to sleep in the guest room?
John: *laughs* Not unless you want to. I’d rather have you in the bed with me, though.

Jodie welcomed John with open arms when he returned home that afternoon.

Jodie finally got her night with John. As she finally fell asleep with him beside her, she felt happier than she had for a long time.

Back at Jason and Sheila’s house, Sheila is the unluckiest sim I know.

Unluckiest sim ever.

Sheila: I’m so sorry...I moved in here and there’s already been a fire and a burglary...
Jason: Yeah, but I’ve got you here. And my sister moved out. I count that as two really awesome things that totally balance out the bad stuff.
Sheila: Aren’t you going to miss your sister?
Jason: Nah. Now I don’t have to worry about her walking in on me doing this. *kisses her*

Another day, another rank up the business ladder.

Jason is feeling a lot bolder now that Sheila is living with him. PDA at work? Totally fine.

The burglar took a lot of the furniture, so after work, Jason and Sheila went to Ramirez’s Fine Furniture to replace what they’d lost.

On the last night of his part of the round, Jason took Sheila to Londoste. They tried to have dinner but there was a glitch, but that didn’t stop Jason from doing what he really wanted to do.
Jason: Sheila, I know we’re moving fast, but that’s one thing I love about you. You’re not afraid to move fast. You make my life exciting. I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?

Sheila said yes.

Naturally, the night (and the round) ended right about here. These two really do move fast!

Before we end the round, let’s meet the new sims who have joined the family. First up is Jason’s fiancee, Sheila Barnes. She is a romance sim, but I think she’d have a Pleasure secondary if I had Freetime. She is wide-eyed and easily impressed (she laughs at all of Jason’s stupid jokes). She moves fast in relationships. She rolled a want to get engaged on her second date with Jason, but she’s had a fear of marrying him in there ever since. She’s also incredibly unlucky. She was a Garden Club member before moving in with Jason. Those cooking skills were cheated to her (shortly before she set the kitchen on fire).
I honestly can’t wait to see what happens next with this lady!

Our other new sim is John Whitaker, Jodie’s boyfriend and new housemate. He is a congressperson, although you wouldn’t think it to look at him. He’s a Fortune sim like Jodie (probably one reason they get along so well) and he wants to earn $100,000. He’s got fewer nice points than I realized. I haven’t seen him do a lot of mean things in game.
In any case, I love John. He is one of my new favorites. I loved writing him. I love his interactions with Jodie. I can’t wait to see what happens with the two of them next time. (They both have a Marry a Rich Sim want right now...)
