Top 3 Johnlock Fanfics
90% of all the fanfiction I read is Johnlock. Don’t ask me why, I genuinely don’t think I could give you any answer that made sense - I just love the show, and the characters, and they make such a good pair. Even if it isn’t necessarily always romantic.
Okay, this list took me a while to make. I had to track down the names and links to the ones I like - usually I just read them and only remember the plot (it’s very annoying) - and then I had to narrow it down to only three. But without further ado, here they are!
Number One: Speaker For The Bees by antietamfalls on AO3.
(deaf Sherlock, sign language, friends to lovers, fluff. 14,649 words)
“It isn’t always easy assisting a deaf detective. Luckily for John, they make a pretty good team.
I’m not sure why this one is my favourite. The characters are very well written, it is very gentle and fluffy (but there is a tiny bit of smut if you’re into that) and overall it is just absolutely adorable.
Number Two: Between The Raindrops by SherlockedDoors on Wattpad.
(johnlock, tiny bit of superwholock, lestrolly, wedding. Over 2 completed fics and one unlikely to be finished fic.)
“Two years after watching the love of his life commit suicide, John Watson has faded out. Balancing between sleepless nights or facing the nightmares to see Sherlock’s face again; he knows the game is over. But he never had closure. And so, on a bleak Christmas Eve, he visits Sherlock’s grave and says what he should have said but never could. He hadn’t expected a reply; especially not this one.”
Okay, look. I’m not going to lie. It isn’t finished. Beside You, the first book in the series, is finished. Between the Raindrops, the second one, is finished. The third book isn’t. And it hasn’t been updated in years. It was one of the first fanfictions I ever read, though, so it is very dear to my heart. I don’t even ship Molly and Lestrade. But it is absolutely adorable, and has a reveal (absolutely nothing to do with the case) that made me actually gasp out loud. On a bus. I probably looked like a right lunatic.
Number Three: A Love With No Name series by aceofhearts61 on AO3.
(asexual Sherlock, straight John, queer platonic relationship, cuddling, hurt/comfort. 49,955 words over 20 fics.)

I’m ace. I can name two confirmed ace characters off the top of my head, and they are both from shows I haven’t watched. I’m gonna take my representation where I can get it. And this series is absolutely adorable. I actually don’t think I’ve read anything with a QPR in before, but it was absolutely worth the wait of trying to find one. So sweet I’m sure I have diabetes, and so fluffy I’m gonna die.
