More Gen Rex redesigns! Featuring some first drafts for new builds that have been on my mind for several years now!

Head's up, I put a lot of thought into my designs but I'll try to make it as brief as I can manage!
Breach Section:
To start, Breach! (insert dendy_yay.sfx) The simplicity and effectiveness of her design is something I wouldn't dream of messing with. That being said, I love the concept of characters changing their appearance as time progresses and development occurs; and since I have a fanfic that will eventually get into "season 4+" territory, I wanted to create some post-canon designs that reflects these things.
As such, she has two and a half redesigns here so to speak. To the very left she has another style where she sports a hair-clip that keeps the hair out of half her face. Nothing changes otherwise -- but this small addition, which could have been given to her by anyone, represents her opening up to others, even if only slightly.
Her design in the middle is far more substantial, given her haircut slightly shorter than its original length and styled in a bun that completely reveals her face; a black jumper skirt; loose thigh high leggings as opposed to knee-socks; combat boots; and a hand-me-down shirt from Rex.
...Now, the reason why she's wearing a hand-me-down shirt from Rex is a minor spoiler for my fanfic, but since it will take an indeterminate number of years to get there anyway, I'll just say its similar to boyfriend-hoodie phenomena but not it exactly.
In any case, these changes represent a drastic shift in her personality and relationships. At this point she no longer associates with Van Kleiss and Abysus, and wears all black to mourn the symbolic loss of the only family she knew. But she remains strong, given the unique dangers she and the other characters now face, fixes her posture, cuts her own hair, and stylizes it to feel cute and reaffirm her own worth. That Rex also finds it cute is purely coincidental.
And then we have her design to the very right! To address the Evo in the room, she and Rex are, in fact, holding hands here! I think its the first time I ever drew them doing that, but it won't be the last -- and this design is meant to be a visual parallel to Rex's given their dependence on each other and romantic involvement at that point in the narrative.
In this design, she lets her hair down once more but cuts her bangs so that her face remains fully revealed, representing her commitment to confronting the world and all the obstacles she faces; she wears a puffy-sleeved top with a large bow that's similar to what a doll would wear -- her choosing to dress up this way ties in to her interest in decorating things and having so much self-worth that she would regard herself as her own prized possession; and her top being red is significant as it invokes the skies of Abysus and her portals, two very important points of pride for her, which is also why she chose to paint her nails the same color as well. Once again, the fact that it coordinates with Rex's outfit is purely coincidental. Which brings me to,
Rex Section:
This writeup won't be as interesting as Breach's section, I'm afraid (lol)
For his design in the middle: I really liked the amp suit, so I decided it would be his go-to outfit in a post-canon scenario. With some slight modifications, of course, like removing all the glowing bits and streamlining it slightly to more closely resemble Providence uniforms and his nanny/surrogate-father figure, Six. And his hair is growing out because his future samurai braid needs hair to work with.
The design to the right is the same, but with a jacket on top so that, like Breach, it calls back to his first design. Only this time, he sports a leather jacket that's inspired by Daft Punk, Akira, and David Martinez from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
New Builds:
I imagine anyone who's made it this far is already familiar with Rex's first set of builds as well as his omega-1 builds. I have a lot to say about his machines, but in this post I wanted to play with the idea of designing new builds for the circumstances he finds himself in.
For another fanfic spoiler that won't be relevant for many years, imagine how horrible it would be if the nanite event happened a second time. Because it does, in my fanfic, leading to a whole new crop of Evos. In addition to having to deal with incurable "second generation" Evos born during the nanite event to variegated parents, Rex will also encounter sentient machines brought to life by nanites.
The paranoia White Knight had in the original Machina Rex comic? Entirely founded, in fact. And since curing them isn't an option for Rex, he must resort to more lethal methods: introducing his third generation builds, which are designed for the purpose of inflicting more damage, countering more abilities, and being usable whenever "nanite blackouts" occur, which is a concept I'll explain some other time.
The first of these new builds is the Grass Hoppers, the gen-3 equivalent of the Punk Busters. It enables Rex to hop all over the place at incredible speeds like Cricket (or Bellamy from One Piece), deliver devastating knee strikes, hook enemies or innocents with ease, and have greater control of movement by pivoting around the environment.
Lastly, there is The Question (may I axe you a question?), the gen-3 equivalent to the Block Party, Bad Axes, and Fun Chucks. Although it isn't as effective at any one thing as the three builds, it's a reliable all-rounder that can be wielded "offline" by Rex indefinitely after creating it, and he's really proficient in its use after training with Five, of all people.

He gets no sleep; doesn’t even try to.
From the moment the bedroom door locked at ten sharp, from the second it released with the fair morning light, Changbin found only restless unease. Trapped in the confines of a room he should be sharing with her; it was all he could do to maintain a shred of sanity by convincing himself that whatever was happening to her—whatever might have already happened—was fixable.

How big a part remains to be seen, but he supposes the scale of it hardly matters when, either way, she’s suffered some form of consequence for the events of the last few days.
He showers quickly, barely feels the scalding water on his skin. Black turtleneck and fitted slacks thrown on, he leaves the bedroom with purpose in his step, determination centred around several things, though his first port of call is arguably the most urgent.
The old house is quiet; the others must have yet to rise. The kitchen is untouched, dining room reset for the breakfast that’ll no doubt be laid in an hour or so. He briefly recalls that Chan and Eve are leaving this morning; he’s glad to have met them, in the end.
Changbin’s footsteps wrack the creaky boards beneath his feet, the usual warmth of the walls and décor seems foreign to him now, as he hurriedly descends the three floors down to the ground level.
Standing outside Matron’s office, Changbin shakes off the nerves, takes a steadying breath. He’s an Imperator, he reminds himself. He doesn’t get nervous, doesn’t get intimidated, is sure of himself at all times. No matter how frantic he feels inside, composure is the name of the game.
There’s no point speculating as to what’s happened; he’ll only drive himself mad doing that. He needs solid facts.
Knocking on the door, Changbin doesn’t wait to let himself in. Rude to enter uninvited, he knows, but he doesn’t have the time to hang around.
He’s surprised to find it unlocked. The door creaks open gently, there’s no sound from inside. Peeking his head around the frame, the office is unlit, the large bay windows closed and latched, thick curtains drawn over the quaint garden scene that Changbin knows sits just beyond. Matron is nowhere to be seen.
He should probably come back later, he supposes, but how much later is later? In an hour? Two hours? Six?
No. Changbin can’t afford to wait that long, or any longer than he already has.
