I already promised some more MSA sketches in the future for my watchers, but I figured ya'll deserved at least one cleaned up sketch right now since I haven't posted any art of the gang in awhile. Purely for fun as I've always wanted to draw the gang in more alternate outfits. :D

US Trip 2019 Journal Comic #2

On 16th January 2019, I had a lovely time meeting and hanging out with some the Mystery Skulls Animated crew and one of the animators from my @ygoreanimate project in Las Vegas.
Me being called out as a “travel prepared” person is just hilarious to me because… what can I say? I just love traveling. My yearly experiences of visiting all kind of places and meeting online friends around the world in person have prepared me well for this.
Another similar moment like this happened too when I was hanging out with some friends in LA (which sadly I don’t have the time to draw it) - basically before we all head home, they scrambled trying to draw art for my freelance boss Nico to show their appreciation. They called me out being a “travel prepared” person after realizing that I have already prepared my appreciation art at home waaay before I arrived the US and later gave it to Nico in person *laughs*.
Also it’s been a while I last did long comic strips like this. Happy that I got a lot faster and cleaner with my comic style now! [Previous US Trip Journal Comic]

Coming along! Lewis looks hella aggressive in my style. The second variant will have his proportions more like his animated self. I'm liking the decision to put down shadows in shades of pink. Still have to work out his flaming hair.
Will have to do a bit of brightening on my pc. Laptop is terrible at colors, but good for inking.
All being done in Krita. Mystery Skulls Animated belongs to mystery ben and crew. Mystery Skulls belong to themselves.
Wip 03. Might as well show the whole thing. DeadBeats variant! I know it looks really saturated and neon, but I assure you it looks very washed out on my laptop :/. Still in progress but I'm liking how it's turning out. Decided to give Lewis lava lamp ectoplasm.

I had been toying with the idea of the gang having tattoos. It looked a lot better in my head, and Arthur was supposed to at least be involved, but since I'm a bit shit, this is what came up with. (Heh also misspelled tattoos heh...)

Arthur turned the van off and hopped out before Vivi could corral him into carrying in the cursed painting they’d been hired to deal with. Even though she had sealed it, the damned thing still gave him the creeps. And he was tired, so very tired, of being the target of every supernatural thing in the area.
He deliberately didn’t look back at Lewis. He didn’t want to see the glare the ghost would likely be sending his way.
Vivi had tried to get him to stop when he’d tried to hurry inside, and he flinched away, his chin dropping to his chest. The saddened gaze the action was met with filled him with something cold, his insides turning hollow. He had belted out a short apology before walking, practically running, away. He didn’t want to hear Lewis snapping at him for talking to her like he had. He didn’t want to see her pity and determination. She wanted to further fix what they had salvaged.
He wasn’t sure they could.
