I think the money I would get for changing my legal name after my birthday could go towards something that would change my life meaningfully, like a violin or towards a nice e-bike. My friends and most of my family already call me by my name anyways so why bother spending money on something that's already changed. It doesn't bother me at all if people use my dead name at this point anyways, even for discussing legal stuff where someone has to use it.
