Lilly was grocery shopping on her own for the first time since she moved into the appartment on her own. “Alright last thing, healthy snacks,” she mumbles to herself, zoning out in front of the applesauce. She just stood there for 30 seconds, looking over each brand and the prices. She didn’t realize she was blocking the aisle till she heard the girl. “Ah I’m so sorry! I totally zoned out,” she laughs, chewing on the end of the pen in her hand nervously. “Do you want me to grab the applesauce for you?” She asks.

Trying not to make an awkward face as she waited for the girl to move, she couldn’t stop herself from putting on an obviously fake smile. Ew, she’s chewing on her pen, what if she pierced it and it got ink in her mouth? she thought to herself without showing her distaste. “Uhm, no. I gotta look at the labels so if you could just step aside a bit that’d be great. I don’t wanna come home to a crying kid,” Moxee explained, trying not to sneer at the other. All the applesauce were most likely the same, but she’d rather check to make sure her daughter was getting what was best for her.

“Yeah I totally understand, sorry,” she grins politely, moving out from infront of the applesauce. She didn’t want to upset the woman any more than she felt like she already had. “Uh take your time. I don’t have anyone waiting on my,” she chuckles awkwardly still trying to make the situation less tense.

Moxee nodded with the ‘awkward white person’ smile and tried to take up as little space as possible as she grabbed a few containers of cinnamon applesauce. She looked the ingredients over, checking which one was probably the healthiest. Thinking back to the health class she was taking online, she picked out one and set the others back, grabbing another one of the brands she chose. “Sorry if I was being a bitch by the way. I’m just kinda freaking out with the whole ‘what’s best for my daughter to eat’ thing ya know?” the women said, offering a sympathetic smile.
