This is Monty. I got him in December of 2021 after the expensive pink cornsnake I got online was eaten by Garbage, our Maine coon. I couldn’t stand looking at an empty cage. So I bought him.

I was gonna originally buy a ball python (cause they're less aggressive for a first time snake owner) but I've been recommended to get a corn snake.. idk I think I might stick with my original plan, cause it's more easier. My mom's super fed up with me about my snake begging (it's literally been a ask I ask her ever mornijg and night for three years I'm not joking either this is me being so serious)
Ik how to take care of a snake and what I need to get, plus the diet of the breed I,m planning on getting, ive stated ghe basics like ill take care of it and stuff but idk what other reasons to use 😭

So maybe about two mouths or so ago, I got a Ball Python. His name is Ouraboros taken from Greek as a serpent eating its own tail.
Look at this idiot, the mouse is right there yet he’s paying it no mind.
And yes I know it would be best to feed him a rat instead of mice, however the people that owned him prior had fed him three live mice, I got him onto frozen/thawed and gave him some time to get used to it. The next meal will consist of a rat.

Juts read the dumbest article about snakes ever. I thought PETA was supposed to know about animals??? What do you mean theyre concious and freewilled. Their heads are the size around of a quarter??? Multiple times they drove home the whole „cramped, too small cages“ point.. but. You get bigger terrariums as the snake grows?? Thats how animals work??
(If you have a snake, do make sure the enclosure is big enough<33. too small terrariums can lead to health problems, including obesity/being overweight <333. Still f PETA though)
Master of not using my words properly and I was feeding my snake and he struck at it/caught it at a weird angle but when I looked up he was perfectly fine and I audibly asked him, "did you just swallow that whole?" Yes, dumbass, he's a snake.
