What if-

What if I-

What if I turned the Limited Life members into big ol’ beasties/monsters, and they rampaged across their home servers... And-And what if the power of love and butt-kickery brought them back to normal..

Would that be silly or-

Oh :)

This big bird-like beast is Jimmy (hence the normal Jimmy I drew). He’s turned into a big, awkward bird thing with wing arms, talons, and big eyes that will stare daggers at anyone. But in actuality, he’s actually quite passive and tends to avoid conflict (but will fight if agitated) or when encountering other Limited Life members).

Plot:

So, the overall plot is that something goes wrong when everyone goes home from Limited Life. Either the Watchers are angry, or the redness sticks around and has some averse effects on the players.

This causes them to turn into creatures of various different hostility levels. It is up to the Hermits and Empires to try and cure their friends. 

Lore bits:

Martyn is technically the only ‘human’ remaining in the AU (But, he’s technically still a hybrid). Martyn is also still capable of transforming into a monster; however, the Listeners have placed protection upon him (him winning allowed the Listeners to get to him).

Joel, Jimmy, and Skizz are the easiest to turn back.

On the contrary, Pearl, Grian, and Scott are the hardest (with Grian and Scott being very hostile, dangerous) Pearl is just as dangerous but also very protective).

Martyn appears on Empires (him playing the role of the old sheriff) and being allied with Scott) while BigB and Skizz are in Hermitcraft (Both being allied with Hermits.

Slowly going to be posting these. Talking about what happened to the players, interactions with hermits/empires, and what it takes to turn them back (if they can be turned back at all).

I don’t have an actual tag for this AU yet, but I’ll think of one eventually.

This post focuses on Joel and Skizzleman.

1. Skizz (and his doodles):

Skizzleman had been changed into a giant angel-like griffin with two sets of wings and a halo. Like Jimmy, he’s surprisingly passive and easy to turn back. But, he still does have some redness to him (red eyes, animalistic, will lash out against non-allies, non-friendlies).

 But, if you show him kindness (and food) give him fish), he’ll turn back into a normal self (with permanent wings/halo) maybe also claw hands).

Doodles: A monster!Skizz face, full body, with a fish, sleeping, and a human(?) Skizz.

2. Joel (and his doodles):

Joel became a mix between a bird and a wolf. But now that he’s in his home server, he’s also gained godlike powers (he’s still the size of a normal wolf) just fluffier/feathery).

 Joel is more hostile than Jimmy and Skizz. He’s protective of those that he cares about (his team of LimLife and his wife). However, in a contrast, he sees anyone else as an enemy and attacks in a blind rage.

 Fwhip happens to be the one of the receivers of this aggression. He does manage to hold the big, lightning throwing beast away until help arrives.

With some time, Lizzie manages to get through to Joel and turn him back to normal. It’s a tiring, achy process for Joel. So, he’s got to recover.

Fun Facts below cut: Nothing too spoilery, just fun:

Joel is the first to turn back to normal. And, he is the one to turn Jimmy back to normal (they can’t get Grian back to normal)

 Skizz is the first in the Hermit world to turn back to normal. He’s happy to be human again (human-ish); however, he’s disturbed by what’s he’s learned from X and the others.

Everyone is still  in their Limited Life outfits upon returning to the servers.

The empires people have Gem use her powers to send them to Hermitcraft (only a small group can go).

Timeloop AU Real?

Limited Loop AU:

At the end of Limited Life, the Watchers decided that they weren't satisfied with the ending. So, in their annoyance (and admitted dislike of the mer-hybrid), they use their magic to ensnare Martyn within a timeloop.

What Martyn didn't realize was that he wasn't alone. Jimmy was trapped as well.

The two were essentially bound together. And with this binding, they have to work together to stop the loop.

But can they before it's too late?

While trapped in the timeloop, both Martyn and Jimmy have gone through some changes (Martyn's changes becoming more severe after each loop).

The more severe of the changes are kept hidden; however, a keen-eyed player can spot two things: The eyes and the clocks

-Martyn and Jimmy's eyes both show hourglasses.

-Martyn hides 'his' clock from the others, even Scott. Said clock represents a simple pocket watch with the ocean, the --- symbol, and an hourglass on the cover.

The inside of the clock is cracked heavily. At first, it appears that the clock hands don't move; only fidget around occasionally. However, at the 'end' of the loop, the clock hands spin rapidly.

-Meanwhile, Jimmy's personal clock is a simple digital clock imbedded into his communicator. Jimmy's clock is constantly cycling through different times. However, it always ends the same way:

A countdown of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

Then everything goes black.

The two are falling through an abyss of starlight and mist. A realm between time and space. Each loop Jimmy keeps getting closer to catching Martyn; however, they both wake up before this can happen.

But even when Jimmy has help, it seems like the world wants to keep everyone apart. Everyone isolated. Everyone stuck.

Timeloop AU isn't dead! AHA! I've just been very busy with other projects and such. But behold! The cover to the AU.

Next drawings I post about the AU will be more focused on Jim and Martyn separately (their separate adventures and just tidbits about how the loop affects them).

AU summary:

Martyn finds himself trapped within a timeloop after winning Limited Life. By proxy, Jimmy is dragged into the loop as well (either by his bad luck or the Listeners needing his aid). The two have to work together in order to save themselves and the rest of their friends.

I have polls now! AHAHA

I have so many AUs and don't know what to focus on/doodle. And since I have polls now, I'm leaving it up to tumblr to help.

I'll post an actual synopsis of the AUs later (probably tomorrow if I remember).

Also, these AUs go across multiple different series including: Hermitcraft, Empires, EVO, Limited Life.

A digital ref of Martyn for Limited Loop AU! Not gonna lie, when/if I return to this AU, I'm going to keep both his sleeves rolled down (drawing that glass arm is a pain)

But! The ref was still needed in order to figure out proper colors and such (silly ocean background is just to be silly).

Lore for Loop!Martyn below cut (and another drawing! Wow!):

At first, the initial two loops are just an annoyance:

Wake up

Watch the others die

Burn Scott

Slice Impulse

Get struck by Lightning

Repeat

But upon the third loop, Martyn finally wakes up from his dreamlike state. He's confused at first. Then, he's so angry that he's ready to fight whatever did this to him. But finally, he's exhausted and ready to collapse.

The exhaustion remains with him through the rest of the loops. It builds and builds to the point where it's hard to stand and think.

However, there's more to this: Martyn's limbs have began to change. Flesh and muscle becoming thick glass, his joints becoming binding and flimsy rope that keeps his limbs together. And finally, his blood becomes red sand. Sand that steadily drips down into his fingers.

Questions linger in Martyn's mind as he tries to fix the loop (with little success):

What happens if he can't fix the loop?

Will his friends ever remember who they are outside the game?

What will become of him and Jimmy?

Now, for lore about the actual pencil doodle:

-Jimmy and Martyn are essentially linked together. Without a body, Jimmy would inevitably disappear from the world of Limited Life.

-Due to Jimmy being, well, not alive in the loop (at least for most of it), Jimmy is aware of all the games and everything that's happened. He's the reason why Martyn snaps out of his trance ( Jim's the reason why most everyone remembers).

Jimmy has it rough in Limited Loop AU. He relives what takes him out of the game every time the loop resets.

At first, it's horrible, it's agonizing, it's lonely. But eventually, Jimmy and Martyn see each other and can figure out a way out of this mess.

Jimmy has it easier than Martyn in this regard. Skizz and Joel get pulled into the loop and become aware of it even once they live again. And with the four of them together (even if Martyn can only see/hear Jimmy), they can find out how to break the loop.

-

Remind me again to not draw glass/hourglasses. Because woof! It's rough.... But, I felt like it was integral to give someone the hourglass background (I was gonna give it to Martyn, but then my hand cramped up).

Jimmy, for the most part in this AU, is a ghost. Only Martyn can see Jimmy's spectral form. Joel and Skizz are eventually able to hear Jimmy once they're brought into the loop (and can join him once they meet their own demises).
