Been having thoughts about a httyd Sona/oc I haven't developed much due to... Checks notes ah yes, burnt out.
BUT I want to be more active here (the community is so lovely and I want to be part of it so badly) and I want more imaginary people and plots in my head for when parallel computing gets too boring or overwhelming. So small ramble incoming:
Her name is Hilda Hávarðr! She is around Hiccup's age, a couple years older but she doesn't look it that much
She has a physical problem that makes it so she can't do much sport or anything that involves her left knee dealing with much pressure (projecting my irl issues into sonas goes brrr). As such, she can't fight, so since an early age she has been training with Gothi to become a healer. She still feels like she isn't enough, but being able to help by healing those who fight gives him some sort of peace
She has a little sister called Ebba, around 8 years younger. She looks up to Hilda because "she does weird magic to make others feel better, and that's pretty cool" (aka Hilda makes potions and medicine for those who need it)
Her father, Eivor, is one of *the* warriors, when he isn't fighting in a war, being pulled by Stoick to find the dragon's nest, or drinking with Spitelout, he is training young kids to fight. After finding out her first born was not only a girl instead of a boy like he had hoped, but also not fit for battle, Eivor and Hilda's relationship plummeted
Her mother, Sigrid, was once a teacher in Berk that taught young kids how to read and do basic math, but with Hilda's tough pregnancy she was forced to stop for a while. Afterwards she needed a long rest period, not to mention caring for Hilda on her own since the war with the dragons made it so her husband was fighting or training others all the time. She resents Hilda though since she was the first nail in the coffin to her teacher career, thought she has some respect for her as she grows up to be a formidable healer
Her dragon is a woolly howl named Boreas, and while they didn't meet in the most ideal situation, their bond is as strong as they go. They don't meet until 3 or 4 months after the red death's death
She isn't part of the main gang until rtte, but knows most of them:
Hilda is in friendly terms with Hiccup and the twins mostly, Hiccup because he goes to Gothi and her for ghost pain and other issues related to his missing leg. The twins are there almost daily, either themselves after a trick with their dragon gone badly or mentioned by some poor viking that got injured in one of their pranks. The twins eventually go to her instead of Gothi if they have some minor issue since Gothi tends to hit them with her staff to reprimand them for their carelessness, while Hilda just sighs and helps them
Given they are both shy at first, she doesn't know Fishlegs much, but sometimes she spots him in the forest looking for some rare plant she's also trying to find and they chat about why they are interested in it. Fishlegs considers her a friend but since she's intimidated by the idea of being close to anyone in the gang, mainly because they are considered Berk's heros and she sees herself as incredibly inferior to them, she only thinks of him as an acquaintance
She doesn't get along with Astrid or Snotlout. They aren't in bad terms by no means but the fact that they are warriors brings lots of issues back (along with some jealousy). With Snotlout it doesn't help that he wasn't the kindest to her when they were younger, getting mocked for not being "a real Viking" since she couldn't fight, and with Astrid she is jealous that despite being a woman she turned into such an amazing warrior; she represents all Hilda wanted to become to make her father happy yet couldn't
And that's it for now! I have a lot more to share and I've kinda started a fic focused on the beginning of her arch, but haven't polished it too much yet. I want her to be a chaotic good entity, she will help and heal those who need it but she will also break so many rules and do whatever it takes to get there
Anyway, if you are still here thanks for reading! Hopefully I'll keep posting and won't forget about this but who knows
Having some more random thoughts about my httyd sona (Hilda)
I want her to be resentful to Stoick and almost every Berkian, partly for having lots of issues grow from the roots of being deemed "not good enough" because of her disability and despite her efforts, but still have a very frail thread that makes her stay and help Berk's people. That thread of course being her little sister Ebba.
But given her chaotic good energy and how little she cares for the actual village she's just gonna. Do some shady shit. First being trading and working with Viggo way before the hunters and the riders get into a war.
Hilda starts buying rare medicine and plants from Viggo in exchange for either gold or free healthcare for his men, which helps Berk so much without them even noticing. They just think this new medicine is Johann bringing more stuff, or Gothi and Hilda figuring out new remedies together, and while Gothi does know something fishy's going on I don't think she bothers asking as long as it heals their people.
I want to make it darker though, have Hilda grow into a mad scientist, pushed by Viggo's vision of her. He sees such incredible potential in this shy and anxious healer, and he pushes her to her limits. She toys with poison and some substances that can be used in battle, she turns her head when the hunters kill some dragon so she can get a specific part of the beast, she dissects dragons once dead to learn more about their properties and how to exploit their abilities for medicine. All her work is dedicated to saving the lives of other vikings, and she has such a mad scientist take on it.
Ofc she also has a probably very unhealthy tendency to rely on Viggo for emotional support as their transactions become less professional and more personal. He provides her with care and praises she's never heard before, so why wouldn't she fall for this handsome, incredibly intelligent man? She wants to dissect his brain so badly, but for now getting to know him and dipping her toes in the romantic side of their relationship will do.
the Goat
wouldn't it be fucked up that when the Goat gets the Purple Crown he immediately hunts down Lamb and violently tries to attack them., screaming and shouting they did this to him.
Then the Goat freaks out and starts hyperventilating and crying when the reality of the situation sinks in.
He's not happy the Purple Crown picked him, he's fucking scared and terrified of what this means. Instead of accepting that he's been chosen for his true nature, he wants to blame the Lamb for it all. After all, he talked to them a few months ago, their godlike germs must've gotten on him. Or they released the Purple Crown to be cruel.
He was rather violent and hot-headed as a doeling, he nor his parents knew why he was so aggressive. He threw tantrums, broke horns, broke limbs, and pushed and punched fellow kids. He even once bit a Priest when they mistakenly called him by the wrong name. A cold fire burned within him, and his parents were afraid (and deep down inside he was too) he'd never live a normal life, and would someday be banished from the community. But he couldn't stop himself, he was just so... so... angry at nothing. At everything.
However when he was chosen by his successor, her Master (which is the same species as the Mystic Seller) he was taught discipline and ways to calm himself. He grew out of his temper and roughness thanks to schedules and discipline, though he is rude to those who worship the Gods.
He's devoted to his Master because it pretty much soothed his rage, gave him not only powers, a halo, but a new title and shed his old identity. He was essentially reborn and would gladly spend a hundred years being its mouthpiece until it desired a new Messenger. He knew its true name, he knew its prayers inside and out.
After all, it is an ultimate being, one who can see the threads of the worlds, time means nothing to it, it can never age or die, even if it is forgotten about. Heretical Gods and entities that lurk in the world are beneath it and its kind. To become a worshipper of a God is a sin and heavily frowned upon.
So to lose his halo, to lose his title of Messenger, is horrifying on its own, he is now a false idol that the Priests lectured against. But... he's lost the one thing he turned to to help curb the aggression within him. He cannot remember its name, for mere mortals and Gods cannot comprehend its true name, nor the true name of the others,
He's also lost his community, a sadistic twist to what he feared all along. What his parents had worried about came true, just not in the way they expected.
And worst of all, the thing he once called 'My Lord' and sent prayers to, said absolutely nothing before his halo was replaced by the Purple Crown in his sleep. It essentially iced him out, and he'd later learn it only picked him to instill piety and discipline within him for the cycle that will never be broken. It nudged him to learn about the past and the mistakes that had been made by his predecessor. He had essentially been groomed to become a better God of War, not a Messenger.

Goat post Catholic Guilt
Aka after Goat accepts the fact he's the new God of War despite his deep hatred toward heretical Gods (but mostly the Crowns because they're parasitic)
Goat usually hangs out at Cult of the Lamb but he often wanders back into the domains to vent his anger and frustrations out on heretics, but only for Darkwood, Anura and Anchordeep. In Silk Cradle he collects things from Shamura's domain (mostly things he can repurpose into his image/symbols, their books, and followers.) He's yet to pick a place to establish his domain, for he refuses to dwell in Silk Cradle. Only insects enjoy such a dark, cramped and damp place.
Goat also puts off establishing his Cult, refusing to come up with a name. Right now he's just 'plotting' and 'planning', by that I mean just killing people and stealing their stuff and collecting weapons.
He eventually makes his way back to the Cult of the Lamb where he enters Lamb and Narinder's relationship, though he seems to favor Narinder far more than Lamb. So they're a polycule that's only a polycule when Goat kisses Narinder and (reluctantly) cuddles with Lamb. Narinder's the primary husband and Lamb is the spare spouse.

What's the Lamb-Narinder-Goat throuple name?
Also he was initially hesitant when it came to physical and sexual intimacy since the religion goatkind follows preaches that sex should only occur for reproduction. But Lamb and Narinder helps ease him out of his discomfort. (Both are way too experienced with easing each other out of discomfort, thanks trauma.)
Their bed gets cramped at night with there being three adults and a quickly growing child. (and they might have to get a bigger bed when NariLamb gets three shittens... ((only when they're old enough to be in a bed))
Limos + eventual shittens sees him as the "Bonus Papa", the cool guy who shows up every few weeks. He tries keeping his distance but Limos is determined to win him over. At the cost of her being put in timeout for "tormenting" Bonus Papa because she "stalked" and "cornered him" every time he stepped outside. pfft, whatever that means. He is the perfect, no, the ultimate bedtime snuggler because he's the blend of Narinder's warmth with hints of Lamb softness. He does eventually warm up to her.
He goes to Shamura for advice but he holds no attraction or affection to Shamura, or any of the former Bishops, really. (THE IRONY THO, THE IRONY. YOU ARE FUCKING THE NEW GOD OF DEATH AND THE FORMER GOD OF DEATH WHO WAS A BISHOP YOU CLOWN.) Though he is a God now his upbringing and strict teachings by the Church has made him biased. He does wish he could "borrow" Witness Allocer because of the spider's devotion to Shamura/Lamb, and for his wisdom, but the spider wouldn't leave Cult of the Lamb for his Cult.
Unlike Shamura whose library is filled with texts and scrolls on all sorts of information, Goat's eventual library will only be filled with texts and scrolls on wars, battle training, politics, and related documents.
how the Bishops handled revival
while originally they could handle their injuries as Bishops, the same cannot be said when they're "mortal" and without their crowns.
Shamura: initially unconscious upon arrival and heavily bleeding. It’s only thanks to the quick work of Kallamar (who was on his feet by then) and the healers that prevented them from dying again. Upon coming out of a fragile state they're agitated, confused and aggressive; lashing out and hurting anyone who came near them, even their own siblings. Only Witness Allocer and Kallamar handled them. Eventually they settled, which happened much quicker with Narinder by their side. On bad days they tend to lash out or have episodes similar to dementia. That's thankfully happening less and less as time goes on. Sewing and knitting calms them so that's their job.
Kallamar: woke up and was unable to stand up straight and walk properly due to the damage to his ears. Eventually he succumbed to illness due to having a weakened immune system (he always had a weak one before the Blue Crown chose him.) Saleos mostly took care of him with Narinder helping. He had to be taught sign language for days when there's a lot of noise (think festivals). [Sign language is taught to many of the cultists. they may be a cult but they ARE inclusive!] Mostly avoids Narinder and tries not to catch Lamb's eye. Lives with Saleos (he was the youngest of Kallamar's disciples so he out lived Haborym and Baalzebub.) Will fall sick easily when there's sickness around, so as a healer he focuses his expertise on common colds (which he has an easier time shaking off) and physical injuries.
Heket: was choking on her blood when she awoke, would have died from blood loss had the healers not stepped in quick enough. Because of her ripped throat Heket was unable to eat food for several days, which was agony for her. All she could 'eat' was the water and thin broth the healers dripped into her mouth. Narinder and Leshy stayed by her side as she slowly recovered. Struggles to talk due to physical trauma so she had to be taught sign language to speak. She's a decent cook.
Leshy: was bleeding from his eyes but wasn't in any danger of dying. Was a pain in the ass for the healers however, he didn't make things easier with his wriggling and cursing. Once the pain eased, however, he calmed down and took his current situation well. It helped that Narinder kept him company. Occasionally uses a cane when there's crowds, more structures built, etc. Other than that he can get around just fine using the vibrations in the earth to help guide him. Is a farmer but does bartend on occasion.
TL;DR-
Shamura: where am I? i'm scared i'm angry i'm going to rip someone's arm off if they come near me where is my cat
Kallamar: oh my god i've been puking for five days straight and my head feels like it's spinning
Heket: (sad dying frog noises as her stomach growls)
Leshy: y'know I kinda like it here.
Has mike ever just bitten someone?
Unrelated question, what other "abnormalities" does mike have besides the eyes and teeth? Doesn't he experience the world around him differently then everyone else? (Like seeing shrimp colors or being able to sense moisture)
he has not bitten someone 😔 (yet)
There are a couple other things
Kinda a lore dump / explanation of a few things real quick
-1: He does see more vibrant colors than others
-2: He can get physically hurt easily, he also very easily brushes it off / doesn't feel it
-3: He is completely pumped with remnant cause William couldn't have his clone dying (clones are notorious for dying young)

He often thinks that the average person can handle what he can as well, at least to some extent (the other bullies [mostly ter and jeremy] are there to make sure he doesn't accidentally kill someone)
((He's also unaware of anytime he dies, he just thinks he's built different. He'll figure it out eventually))
And Remnant is a lot like steroids, which when overused can often cause unstable emotions, in this case it worsens Micheal's already bad anger issues.
A small tid bit as well: When not faking his laugh, Micheal has the exact same laugh as William.
