We all know that Christian Bale was incredible as Patrick Bateman. Nobody else could be as Bateman as he was. Like he was great, delicious, fierce, inimitable, irreplaceable. BUT I think we need to give the rest of the cast some credit too because they BODIED those roles! Dare I say DEVOURED. Like that’s them. Those are the Guys. That’s Luis Carruthers nobody else can be Luis now. Or Paul or Evelyn or Van Patten or anybody like. I was skeptical of Justin Theroux as Timothy for like three seconds (it’d been years since i first seen it, and i’d just finished the book) but ONLY for those THREE SECONDS because he was so GOOD i had to admit that i was wrong. Like they’re literally them they killed it i love this stupid fucking movie . I know the academy awards are a scam because it didn’t win every Oscar there is. Mary Harron i owe you so much dopamine
