WANTING, NEEDING YOUR PRESENCE ALL THE TIME.

FURINA first realizes she’s in love when she finds herself wanting, no.. needing your presence all the time. You were one of the only people who could handle her ‘hysterics’, a trait only the most worthy people could have (in Neuvillette’s words). Whenever she stands in the courtroom, a part of her wishes you were there, with you around— the trials are a little less boring and a little more tolerable. Whenever she eats all on her lonesome, she wishes you were across from her table; waiting to ask her how her day went and receiving nothing but complaints of how uninteresting the latest trial was. Whenever you two take a stroll around Fontaine, much to her dismay, she feels at ease— not because of the sights of the nation she rules over, she’s seen them countless times; but because of the sight of you.

Any moment spent with you couldn’t be wasted on such monotonous activities such as taking a mere stroll around the city you were both accustomed to. The fleeting feeling she absolutely refused to acknowledge, the way her heart hammered in her chest, it all left her unsure. As soon as you came into view, the only thing she ever thought about was to stay beside you as long as she could.

OUT OF EVERYONE, I WANT YOUR EYES SPECIFICALLY ON ME.

Having all eyes on him, something LYNEY had grown used to, the attentiveness of the crowd, and the people who fall for his charms during each and every show. But, how is it that whenever he spots you, he has the urge to be even more spontaneous than he normally is? How is it that whenever you came into view, he tried a little harder to please the audience? Well, he was secretly hoping that you would be as pleased as the rest of them.

Even outside of his performances, he craves your attention, he craves for you to notice him. A small compliment from you on one of his magic tricks, and it leaves his heart fluttering. He had a mission, to impress you enough for you to potentially fall for him, or moreover, to impress you enough for you to see how captivated he was by you. A flame of determination in his eyes was evident in the way he declared that you’ll be even more amazed by what he had up his sleeves next. The next time he spotted you among the spectators, he sent a wink in your direction— and a performance that had you dazzled. After all, what is a magician if not an expert in stealing hearts?

WHAT’S IT LIKE? HAVING THE ATTENTION OF SOMEONE YOU LOVE?

Being the lowest-profile Magician's Assistant in the land came with its perks, with the absolute majority of their audience being more interested in her older brother than her. So when LYNETTE is faced with someone whose attention was solely placed on her, she has no idea what to do. The only thing she could think of was to shut you out like the others who have tried to attract her attention before. Unfortunately for her, you were persistent.

She even grew accustomed to your questions after a performance; from answering in at max, five-word sentences, to her answering them in complete detail with a blank expression. The warmth in her chest whenever you seemed almost flabbergasted at how no one seemed to be very interested in her, left her awake at night sometimes. Even her brothers noticed the small glint of light in her eyes whenever you came into her sights, though she refused to speak about it. The two noticed how a light cherry-red tinted her cheeks, almost unnoticeable, that only appeared when you were nearby. Her frequent small smiles were unbelievably rare, but they came so naturally when it came to you.

UTTERLY NERVOUS WHEN IT COMES TO YOU, IT’S A SIGN.

To pique FREMINET’S interest, you had to be patient and understanding with him. Much like his older sister, the young diver prefers to be out of the limelight. It was worse when others couldn’t respect that, with interviewers or just random strangers bombarding him with questions not even relating to his line of work, but that of his siblings. He wouldn’t have been able to stand it on his own, but you were there with your eyes narrowed— almost protective, making his breathing almost unsteady. You never pried into his personal life, knowing well how difficult it was for him to open up. You knew what questions made him uncomfortable, and which ones he was okay with answering, and the way he looked a little happier when you showed genuine interest in his profession made you proud to know you were doing something right.

He found himself admiring you, adoring you, and loving you. You already knew how timid he was, but you felt as if he was more nervous around you than anyone else. You pondered for a while whether you had done something wrong, but everyone around you knows that is far from the truth.

MAKING EXCUSES TO SEE YOU, WHILE YOUR NAME SLIPS HIS MOUTH.

KAMISATO AYATO knew he was smitten the moment he realized he was constantly making excuses to see you. You captured his attention, and even he wasn’t exactly sure how or even when it happened. The amount of times your name slipped out of his mouth while talking to Ayaka, was embarrassing, to say the least. You never cared about the fortunes of the Kamisato Clan, but even so, you knew he had his guard up during your first few interactions. How he gracefully appeared before you, with you taking it as merely a chance meeting when all of it was already planned in his head like a movie.

The first time Thoma had pointed out his ‘strange behavior’ before apologizing profusely for “butting into his business”, Ayato couldn’t find it in him to deny any of his retainer’s claims. You were awe-striking, so much so that whenever your name was mentioned anywhere— a small smile appeared on his features, illuminating what he desperately wanted to hide, his heart.

STUCK IN DENIAL AS HE BECOMES DEFENSIVE.

It became clear to everyone but the WANDERER that he felt this way towards you, or so they thought. He never gave it away clearly, but it was his defensive mechanism when it came to you that revealed it. He denied any claims, questions, his frown growing deeper when he even thought about it. Others thought of it as him dismissing you completely, but he thought of it as protecting the friendship you both cherished.

Nahida was the only one who understood his train of thought, with how desperately he held onto each moment you spent with him, she knew it was bound to come to this someday. It was rare, but at times she found him sitting under a tree— the corners of his lips turned slightly upwards as he reminisced to himself. Of course, if she made any outright claim, even if she read his mind and told him what he was thinking— he would deny it instantly. He held onto that flicker of flame in his chest so dearly, one that burned brighter when you came close.

OBSERVING YOU WAS ONCE MY DUTY, NOW IT’S HOW I LEARN ABOUT YOU.

Even those who eyed the Chief of Justice constantly wouldn’t be able to tell, but NEUVILLETTE was observing you from afar. He knew he had better things to do than to stare at you as you shop, but that thought never stopped him before. It was his job to observe you, to make sure you weren’t doing anything that would bring harm to the nation of justice. Right now, however, it wasn’t as much of doing his job as it was of him simply learning about you and your daily activities. Ever since you first stepped foot in Fontaine, he was observing your every move. At first, it was because a few people found your presence suspicious, but then he took a small interest in you— and even went as far as to strike up a conversation or two with you.

Your smile entranced him instantly, and before he knew it, his mind began to cloud with thoughts of you. It was almost contagious, the corners of his mouth turning upwards at the sight— though only a little. He picked up on every little thing with observation alone. Your favorite things, hobbies, dislikes, he found himself growing to learn them all. The Chief of Justice was loved by many, but now he has learned to love another.

- Kaeya is another person you'd meet at a bar

- He wouldn't be drunk-just lightly drinking

- You both hit it off and start chatting away

- In the end he covers your tab for the night and however much you drank previously because he liked you that much

- And he might see you home if you live nearby

- You would meet him in Angels Share, annoying Diluc for more wine

- He'd strike up the conversation with you, and Diluc would warn him for disturbing others at his shop

- In the end he'd add an extra hundred mora to his tab (which Diluc still wants him to pay)

Albedo would find you in the depths of Dragonspine, shivering from the cold. He only passed by because he was looking for ingredients for certain alchemy crafts-for Sucrose of course. Being the gentlemen he is, he would carry you to his campsite where you could heat up by the fireplace while he made you food to eat and have a chat over.

It wouldn't be until you're fully healed/warmer until you left his campsite, although Albedo told you to come back anytime to ensure you don't freeze to death again. While you stay in dragonspine, you'll see him a few more times as you stay there again.

If you were a human, Xiao met you out on the battlefield. You didn't even call his name-it was simply his duty to fight these creatures and you happened to be facing one at the moment. All he did was kill the monster and then leave you alone, he only started talking to you after you kept getting in danger to which he told you to call him incase you ever encounter anything.

If you were a god or a friend of Zhongli than he'd meet you at an important dinner. Zhongli would introduce you both to each other and than you'd talk from there.

Tartaglia was your boss from the Fatui. You worked under him, the 12th harbinger in combat. He doesn't pay too much attention to the rookies or people under him-you stood out by being the strongest one who works under him. Only then would he challenge you himself (to which you most likely end up defeated).

Two very different routes based on what time you met him as...

As Kunikuzushi he would meet you along with the other swordsmen, crafting the best swords out of everyone. Kunikuzushi would be a little more shy towards you, he doesn't know what love feels like afterall-his mother did abandon him.

As Scaramouche, similar to Tartaglia, you could train under him. Catching his eye as one of the strongest combat fighters who work under him.

As Wanderer, you would meet in the Akademia. While you both combined for a group research project where you had to travel to the desert. At the beginning he wasn't very thrilled with the idea of it but by the end you became friends.

As a detective, naturally he'd find you while doing a case. This specific case was actually a rescue mission and the target to save was you. Luckily with his skills though he saved you as soon as they got the case. After that, you both would talk more.

You met Lisa as you traveled to Mondstadt for the first time. Specifically when you decided to visit the Library to checkout a book while you stay there. Lisa-being the delighted librarian gladly recommended you some books to read and you ended up going home with at least 12 of them.

You worked at the Jade Chamber. Ganyu had hired you as another assistant for the Lady of the Jade Chamber. So on your first day of work Ganyu introduced you both and since then you worked alongside her ever since.

Hu tao being Hu Tao would have a funny meeting with you. Running up to you with a large grin on her face as she proudly presented you with a buy 1 coffin get the 2nd half off coupon! She proudly explained her parlor and how if anyone was dying soon to buy a funeral casket over by her place.

You met Yanfei because you happened to deal with a few legal troubles and decided to hire a lawyer to close the case. Luckily your lawyer was the best of the best and memorized all the laws of liyue.

With Yelan being mysterious you'd have to cause a lot of trouble to meet her a second time. The first time would most likely be her saving you from the shadows-but you wouldn't see her. It would only be if she saw you a lot then she would reveal herself to be Yelan.

Due to your status you knew all of the Adepti that lives by Liyue. Shenhe being Cloud Retainers apprentice would be no exception. So, you knew her from when she was very young-even when you yourself was a child.

If you meet the Shogun, it would be the moment she decides to take your vision. You were a strong fighter and no one could defeat you until she showed up. Raiden wouldn't just not take it even if you looked pretty. After the Vision Hunt Decree occurred she decided to visit you once again as you were walking down the road.

While running away from the shogun you met other resistance fighters-who eventually led you to meet with her during a meeting. This meeting would be one-on one with your group.

While visiting the Narukami shrine you decide to test your fortune of the day! You spoke with the lady there, took your fortune and decided to take a seat over on a rock nearby. You looked around and opened the slip. There it was, the words "Good Luck" on the fortune. Yae Miko suddenly appeared behind you, wishing you well and how lucky you were to obtain the good luck fortune today.

After the Vision Hunt Decree started, Kazuha travelled with Beidou. You, who was from Liyue and knew Beidou eventually met him while helping Beidou out unloading some supplies. Beidou would introduce you both and help you get to know eachother.

After you passed out in the Sumeru Forest, the forest watchers found you and brought you back to their camp for your saftey. Collei specifically would watch over you while you rest, Tighnari would have to do his duties. When you finally wake up, you first speak with Collei! To which then she introduces you to Tighnari when he gets back from his mission.

You met the siblings after a show of theirs, either a VIP meet and greet or you approached them to show how great the show was. Lyney would talk to you more while Lynette puts more effort in the greeting, her social battery is just lower than his.

In a world that has been less than kind to her, you were one of the few exceptions. When others would be upset by her seemingly monotonous behavior, you saw past it. You saw her for who she was. Just another person in this chaotic mess of a world.

When she is woken up from nightmares of past events, you offer her comfort, in whatever way she needs. Whether it is holding her, or speaking words of reassurance. You are there. And what she fails to inform you, is that in some scenarios, that is more than enough.

And though she struggles, you never mind her struggle to express her emotions. The universe has been less than kind to Lynette, but even as the world turns and changes, one thing remains unchanging. Your love and devotion towards her. And she hopes someday, you’ll be able to see the full extent of her gratitude.

lyney’s assistant and twin sister never thought she’d fall in love, not when she already has so much on her plate. you were a rush of blood to the head, an adrenaline rush caused by something as simple as meeting your eye. lynette felt as if she were walking a tightrope every time she talked to you, one wrong move and she’d be revealing her affiliations with the fatui. her love was a dangerous one in every way that could be. if you ever found out, she might not be able to let you live at all. ultimately, it was a thin line between life and death.

such pointless doubts only served to hurt and waste the time you shared. the pain of her being alone and unable to tell the truth only hurt because it was invisible to the outside eye. maybe she’d begin avoiding you for her own sake, but even the smallest and most mundane things would remind her of you. lynette couldn’t help but gravitate back towards you, wishing she didn’t love you as much as she did. past friends had always left once they found her connections to the fatui, often with hurtful words that still stung when she thought about it now. her lifeless purple eyes held a melancholy whenever she talked to you, wanting only to tell you the truth. then you’d either love her still or leave her, instead of leaving her in a form of purgatory in which she didn’t understand how you truly felt.

the day she told you, she was taken off guard by the way you still loved her. it didn’t matter to you, you just loved lynette because she was herself.

When asked the question of if she’s loved another person like she’s loved you, her answer is immediate. Denying the existence of feelings for anyone else. “How could I love someone who isn’t you?”

You were her first relationship. The first and only one outside her family who has been able to succeed in making her feel comfortable. It was you, who made her feel ready to open her heart.

To you, she wasn’t like some robot, or object. She was your partner. You’d announce that to the world if you were able to. Because you’re proud of her. Proud of exactly who she is.

Offering to help her pick plants to add to her tea, or incorporate into her and Lyney’s magic performances. None of it was silly or unnecessary to you.

If she wanted or needed anything, you’d be there. You’ve never said those words aloud, but you didn’t have to. Because your actions spoke volumes your vocal cords could never achieve.

She shed her clothes in your bedroom, feeling dread pool in her stomach.

Hearing you walk in, she tried to make sure she maintained a face of indifference. Being left in her undergarments as she searched for her pajamas, she felt pathetic. You would never pressure her to do something like this, changing with the door open, rendering herself vulnerable.

“Dear, what’s the matter?” She hadn’t even noticed the tears falling down her face. She stared at the loose t-shirt in her clenched fists.

She was shaking.

“I’d like to change alone, I think.” She braced herself for something. Maybe physical contact from your hand, or a sigh of disappointment. Something to try to coerce her into continuing despite her hesitation.

But she wasn’t met with any distaste, as you pulled away and reached behind you. You handed her the pajama pants she’d brought for your sleepover.

“You don’t need my permission to do what makes you comfortable, Lynette. You’re safe to do whatever you need.”

Before she could start sobbing, she quickly turned away to leave for the bathroom. At times like this, you knew it was not best to force her to be too open. Lynette allowing you to see a side of her that reveals her fear is rare. It was best not to push it.

And while you returned to making sure your room was ready for her return, she stood in the mirror.

I don't plan on pulling for her because Clorinde is showing up, but FEAR NOT ANON! Quoth the FFXIV:

Arlecchino watches with vague amusement as S/O suddenly leaps back, nearly into her arms.

She catches them with minimal effort as her eyes slowly track tiny movement on the floor.

A spider was skittering across the floor at a slow pace, making her gaze trail back to S/O.

(Arlecchino) "Spiders are not very likely to attack humans without being provoked. And even then, that is under the most dire of circumstances-"

(S/O) "I-I know, but...they're just creepy!"

(Arlecchino) "Indeed."

With a hum of acknowledgement, she almost drops S/O to the ground as they barely caught themselves in time.

Arlecchino walks over to the spider and gently puts it in a cup before releasing it outside.

She crosses her arms as distant memories from her past came trickling in.

(Arlecchino) "You wouldn't have liked Bambi."

(S/O) "Who's that?"

(Arlecchino) "A pet spider that I once owned."

They were smart enough to not say that out loud, but Arlecchino had the faintest hint of a smile on her lips.

She probably knew what they were thinking anyway.

Even when she was spacing out, Lynette could easily spot something moving in the corner of her eye.

(Lynette) "Oh, a spider-"

(S/O) "WHAT?!"

S/O immediately balled up onto the couch, head rapidly darting back and forth.

(S/O) "W-WHERE?!"

Lynette's ears twitched from how loud S/O was being, but she easily grabbed the spider in a cup, noting how S/O was inching away from her.

(Lynette) "It's not even a dangerous kind, just a regular-"

(S/O) "I don't care what it is, just throw it out!"

Lynette smiled and gently let it escape out the house.

As she sat back down next to S/O, her tail swished playfully, though Lynette herself was stoic as ever.

(Lynette) "What are you going to do when i'm not here?"

(S/O) "D-Don't tease me!"

Xianyun adjusts her glasses when she sees a spider on the table.

S/O almost dropped their food completely at the sight of it, while Xianyun looked slightly annoyed.

(Xianyun) "How unsightly for a dinner table."

With a small gust of wind, she flicks it away, making S/O leap out their seat.

(S/O) "GAH! D-Don't fling it at me!"

(Xianyun) "One was not aiming at you, dear. Do be careful, otherwise your plate will drop."

S/O took a deep breath of relief while Xianyun continued to eat.

(Xianyun) "Hm...One has an idea for an invention. We could construct you a machine that can take care of household pests like that."

(S/O) "...W-Would you?"

Xianyun suddenly beams with pride, a gleam of light reflecting off her glasses.

(Xianyun) "Fear not, One will make sure you are never bothered by a spider ever again! We will get started straight away after dinner."

What ended up happening was Xianyun constructed a machine that was too good at killing household pests, to the point it broke parts of the wall.

Both Barbara and S/O yelp when they see a spider speed along the tiles of the Cathedral.

(S/O) "Aw man, it's going up to the ceiling!"

(Barbara) "I-It's not going to drop on our heads, is it?!"

The two exchanged a look that said neither were wanting to find out the answer.

Accepting defeat, the two quickly exited the cathedral out onto the plaza.

(S/O) "Do you think we could ask one of the sisters to help us?"

(Barbara) "U-Um...well-"

It didn't take long for either of them to realize that it'd be absolutely mortifying to ask a sister for something so trivial.

Instead, they decided to practice their singing outside.

Which arguably, was worse since spiders could be anywhere, but it didn't seem to cross their minds as they slowly became comfortable again and laughed the situation off.

Until the next day they forgot about it and entered the cathedral, only to be jumpscared by it as it sat on the pews they were at.

Lyney never repeats same tricks, always coming up with new repertoire every show. Although.. you are an exception, the only person he doesn't mind rehearsing old tricks to. If you ask Lyney to show "that one super cool thingie!!" he'll do it without a second thought. He never thinks twice when it comes to your desires.

And whenever you are feeling down, Lyney is always there for you. If there are tears rolling down your cheeks, the magician pulls a handkerchief out of thin air and whipes it away gently.

"Ma chérie, you can cry as much as needed — I am here for you, but remember: even though you are undesrcibingly beautiful, smile really adorns your face", — somehow Lyney materializes a rainbow rose out of his pocket and presents it to you.

Lynette is always observing, keeping the tiniest details in her mind. Constantly noting minor changes, paying attention to circumstances is what she must do in order to fulfill her duties to the Father. Even though it may be selfish, Lynette mostly watches over you. Your every move, every blink, every sound — you don't want to know what she has found out about your persona. She needs to know everything about you to keep you safe (yes, this includes info such as your favourite color, favourite dessert and clothes you prefer to wear. Trust her!). Lynette is also the first one to take congnizance of changes in you. No need to tell her you've got a new haircut, got hurt or bought new jewellery — she already knows.

Lynette also notes to herself different traits of yours. If you waste time passing some silly quizzes and receive questions such as "how do your friends perceive you?", she appears out of nowhere to think for a few minutes and then gives you a serious, honest answer.

"Lynette, which object am I?"

"Lynette, which lyric fits me the best?"

"Lynette, who am I? Soldier, poet or king?"

Young lady's patience and seriousness during answering all this questions makes you melt.

Freminet's top priority is your well-being. He does everything to lessen your burden, spends days and nights trying to invent mechanisms which decrease the time you spend doing chores.

Too tired to cook? Freminet will most definitely construct some sort of automated pot: put the ingredients inside, and the dish will cook itself.

Lazy to do the laundry? Here, have this brand-new machine he absolutely-did-not-create-just-for-you. If the problems you are facing are common for Teyvat inhabitants due to its level of development, Freminet is going to outpace entire humanity and create 21st-century technologies, not even realizing the impact he'd made.

Because of his overthinking nature, Freminet plans everything 10 steps ahead. He checks the weather forecast everyday just to know if you need an umbrella or sunglasses today. Despite being extremely socially awkward, this precious boy asks if the dish contains foods that may cause your allergic reactions. He overcomes himself for you.

such pointless doubts only served to hurt and waste the time you shared. the pain of her being alone and unable to tell the truth only hurt because it was invisible to the outside eye. maybe she’d begin avoiding you for her own sake, but even the smallest and most mundane things would remind her of you. lynette couldn’t help but gravitate back towards you, wishing she didn’t love you as much as she did. past friends had always left once they found her connections to the fatui, often with hurtful words that still stung when she thought about it now. her lifeless purple eyes held a melancholy whenever she talked to you, wanting only to tell you the truth. then you’d either love her still or leave her, instead of leaving her in a form of purgatory in which she didn’t understand how you truly felt.

the day she told you, she was taken off guard by the way you still loved her. it didn’t matter to you, you just loved lynette because she was herself.
