i think that the idea of the plants that have now sprouted from blamore's body having a little bit of sentience to them, kind of like how you'd expect them to be in real life, is lowkey such a fun idea because like — although plants do not have a centralized nervous system like humans do, there has been multiple studies done on them that prove that they do produce electrical impulses. these can move them towards light using turgor pressure to help them during their development.

they also respond to their environment (albeit on a more 'primitive' level, i guess you could say) by growing their stems, roots, or leaves toward or away from stimuli through these electrical impulses. and one more important thing to mention is that plants can communicate with each other. though, not at overly long distances. which is something that i wanted to bring up because this means that blamore's plants can technically logically move in the presence of things that are perceived as 'threats' by them; like, for example, someone's hand.

thus, and i have actually done one roleplay on here that featured this with em, if you were to try to touch its plants in say its ribcage... then it's possible that they will move away to get away from 'danger.' though, as i mentioned before, plants don't have the same understanding of it as humans do / we do and so i guess you could say they're not really intellectualizing what is happening. they're just kind of depending on sensations like pressure in order to try to defend themselves and do this through the use of electrical signaling / sometimes hormones. however, i still think it's neat to think about LOL

blamore being obsessed with just... casually running his hands across it's partner's skin if they are human, or at least humanoid in nature during their downtime, because the only skin that has really been 'untainted' in his mind by his transformation was on his face and on his back — so knowing what it feels like to have it again in a way almost makes blamore fascinated with them and that's just JSJSJ

okay, buttt blamore purposely trying to find ways to be kind of 'over-the-top' and/or inventive with its bone manipulation is something that i live for, if i'm being honest + this is because it ABSOLUTELY suits his personality. like imagine another muse having no freaking idea what blamore's doing during a fight because he threw a bone seemingly nowhere near them... but then the bone implodes and turns into shrapnel.

and it does this with the objective of either injuring this muse heavily or killing them — as it can do this with multiple bones at a time, after all, which would send a bunch of sharp and dense bone fragments flying across the room. like OMG. i can't say that that wouldn't be extra, but it also has the capacity to be really kind of scary to have to try to dodge LOL. and that definitely makes blamore more of a threat. for, i feel like bone manipulation is already such an underrated power as it is, but with someone who can use it creatively?

ahh, well, all i have to say is you better strap in because you're in for one hell of a fight LMAOOO

officially changing the name of blamore's cat (who was now previously known as professor pancake) to miss marmalade' because i just... blamore naming his cat after something like jelly is just too cute to me 🤭

okay... so, a spicy thought is ahead and thus, i shall be putting it under a read more:

ahh, hello — this may or may not be inspired by something i viewed through pinterest but y'all; i'm sort of obsessed with the idea now NGL. and that is blamore wearing body cages for it's partner if they're into it. i'm talking about ones with like ornate flower designs on it, or are just very pretty looking in general — but if you aren't familiar with what a body cage is... it's basically like a type of lingerie that consists of different types of harnesses stitched together into a pattern. so, just imagine blamore laying down on its stomach on another muses bed (who is also its partner), right before they get home to surprise them in something like this... and you'll get the picture i'm trying to paint here basically

these are perennial's and only bloom once a year + the middle picture contains wild basil, which is rather cold tolerant and thus, also a perennial. the picture on the far right is actually a type of shrub called a purple smoke bush and is deciduous, so it has leaves that fall off yearly.

these are currently the only plants i have set in stone for his rib area, but i will introduce more later once i figure out what else i want to integrate into its character that way.

but just to give y'all a little extra tidbit of information that only people such as it's lovers and perhaps doctor's would normally know...

feeling strangely sentimental this sunday afternoon, so i just wanted you all to know, blamore used to work as a piano player at a bar during college once it turned 21 — and i think that is honestly... SO fitting for him for some reason. like blamore playing billy joel songs on the piano like 'piano man' and 'just the way you are?' umm, YES. it would be that eccentric piano player in an underground bar somewhere. also, fun fact, this is where blamore met erich förstner (his ex-boyfriend) so yeahhh. the man got to see it playing the piano in action, haha

i've been considering how, since blamore hasn't fully 'mutated' yet, how it might look in the future when it has and TBH... i think i might've figured out most of what is going to happen to it. so, just for a little context to all of those moots who may be new to my account or just those who may need a refresher, blamore's got black lichen on its hands and feet that covers them partially.

well, in the future, i think that it's going to have more lichen cover its body in the facial region. BUT i promise y'all that it's not going to impact blamore in any way that it'll hurt him because it's going to be located in just three places around his face and also... branch off from it a little bit, if that makes sense, because it's not going to be completely flush to his face. it's also going to be white lichen, so it'll be a different type from the other's.

now, whenever i say it branches off from his face a little bit, just imagine like it appearing to loosely cling to blamore's face on both of it's cheeks and in the spot between his eyebrows with two different compartments to it (for the one in between the eyebrows, that is). so it'll almost look flowy in a way that i could only describe as being akin to a fish's fins. and beyond that, his eyelashes + eyebrows are going to turn completely white, which will kind of make the lichen blend in so-to-speak with the rest of its face.

as for his chest, i would like to say that the roots from blamore's plants that are coming out of its ribcage will sort of venture up to cover its shoulders and its neck partially (and with some moss thrown in there around it LOL). i also would like to think that maybeee, just maybe, its body had come to adapt a bit to the constant exposure that comes with having your spine exposed like blamore's is and the bark on his legs would extend up + form a sort of defense on the sides of his spine by creating a protective cover over it.

it might also form some wingthorn roses in its ribcage as a way to prevent 'intruders' from trying to reach their hand into there, in the case that they're attempting to target it's plants to defeat it. but blamore could still theoretically be hurt if this person is willing to get hurt in the process as well and/or avoids the thorns. these are what white lichen and what wingthorn roses look like btw:

blamore having one of those hammocks that you can pull a hood over just makes sense to me, TBH. because like... if someone is trying to get him up for the day? he could just pull that thing over him, and BAM, problem solved! blamore will be able to enjoy at least a little bit more sleep because it's like they say: out of sight, out of mind, LOL. and it's also something that would be super cozy / good to have in the colder months. for, blamore does have a lower tolerance to the cold than one might think.

(so, being able to conserve heat and/or avoid the chill of winter outside by doing this would help blamore a lottt, in the long run. though he also sets up some heaters right before winter comes in his greenhouse to help the plants that are both a part of its body and outside of it keep flourishing).

blamore being obsessed with dinosaurs, even to this day, but it being like... an obsession that he likes to keep lowkey now? it's both wholesome and also sort of sad because the reason it decided to keep it on the downlow in the first place is since kids used to make fun of him for his liking for dinosaurs ):

though, blamore thought they were SO cool that it wanted to be a paleontologist for a while there, before he switched gears to psychology. whenever it comes to things now, however — he lovesss having little marathons of the jurassic park movies with his friends, and also the godzilla movies 😭 + blamore kept this plesiosaurus that he got from sacha (it's father) as a gift while it was a child and i just... yeah

AHH, i have yet to talk about this more in depth because i was still developing the details around it for a bit. but whenever it comes to blamore... him suffering from nerve pain due to the circumstances surrounding his transformation (as well as being shot at by the really not happy relative of a criminal whom his father sentenced) is not the only way it's body has changed since before — for, blamore is partially deaf or has unilateral hearing loss in his left ear. it had lost some of it because of the gunshot that was directed at him at 18, but most of the damage had come from a pretty bad ear infection blamore had at around 24.

so, he does tend to favor his right ear and faces people with it more often than not, but sometimes if someone is speaking rather quietly or even in a normal voice regardless of that; blamore will still have difficulty understanding what was said. thus, it's learned how to lip-read and tends to depend on all of his senses to be alert in emergency situations. so, things like what blamore's seeing, touching, smelling, etc. can help him in these situations because unilateral hearing loss is sort of known for not only making it hard to hear at certain frequencies; but it also makes it hard to localize, or figure out where a sound is coming from sometimes.

your last post compels me to ask, does blamore like chocolate?

hiii, mango!! thank you very much for the ask (: it always puts a smile on my face to see you on my dash, honestly <3 but OOH. okay, that's an interesting question! blamore does enjoy chocolate — but because its anatomy is different than before, he eats it less often than he did before. blamore actually tends to favor strawberry things more often than not now than chocolate. this is because, although there is currently no evidence that this will happen... chocolate is something that has been known to 'gum up' the roots of plants. and he sometimes does get a little paranoid that this could potentially happen to the ecosystem currently flourishing within it.

but yeah, to answer your question, blamore does like chocolate! its just kind of like one of those 'guilty pleasure' foods for him now, however, because of this fear he has. if its plants are not healthy then this will also negatively impact its well-being overall.

OH, also, here's an important portrayal note that i thought i would post here just for reference: blamore has a southern french accent since it was born in the southeastern city of annecy, and he spent most of his childhood there + BOTH of it's parents are french. and something that i think is sort of interesting about it is that it is considered to be a 'singing accent,' or l’accent chantant. this is because those with a southern one are thought to be more 'musical' and 'soft' than it's northern counterpart. the southern french accent adds a soft, nasal “g” sound to words that end with “-ain.”

thus, words like pain have a different enunciation coming from it. and all the syllables are pronounced in a word, including letters that are usually mute like final -e, is something that is also done by those with a southern french accent. so it is quite obvious that he is not a native gothammite BUT man's doesn't care because he's perfectly happy with his french heritage and if someone brings it up... it'll probably just be like, ' oh, yeah. i was born in annecy so i have an accent. pretty cool, huh? ' and he'll just eyeball you for a bit because a couple of parisians had made fun of him for it in the past SO y'all better be nice... or elseee / j LMAO nah, i'm kidding, but fr please don't say anything negative about it okok

did y'all know that there are 31 pairs of nerves in the spine? because just in case you didn't, now you dooo LOL and i promise y'all that this is relevant because i swear, one way that you can tell that burgeon really trusts you is if it allows you to touch its spine / tail, because it is VERY sensitive. so, although it doesn't hurt for people to touch it, it makes that area feel very tingly. or... and i'll put this under a cut because it may be a bit ✨️ spicy ✨️

or, depending on how blamore views you (specifically if it's in a romantic / sexual light), then it may just turn him on. but even if he does 'like like' you, if you touch it for an prolonged amount of time, it may tell you to back off or protect it from being touched any longer. so you've got to strike the right balance with touching it and not doing so if you're physically intimate with burgeon.
