March For Our Lives
Late post, I know. Tomorrow is the day. It's the March. I hope everyone who can attend is at a March close to their city. I will be at the Charlotte, NC March and if anyone is going to this one then we will be Marching together. Honestly, we are all Marching together tomorrow. Side by side. All of our voices as one. We're armed with our first amendment rights. Let us show everyone who tells us we shouldn't be doing this why we are. Be safe tomorrow! Love you all! đź’™
The March
The March today was absolutely astonishing. I have never seen so many students ban together for a common goal. I'm new to Charlotte, but I felt like I was really part of the city as we rallied off chants and stood in huddles. I ended up wearing a mask I got at an anime convention. When someone asked, I told them:
"I grew up being told constantly, 'Children are to be seen and not heard'. Do they see us now? Are they ready to open their eyes yet? Maybe they'll want to listen to us now."
I marched for my baby brother who is just 10. He shouldn't be worried about an active shooter. Thank you to everyone who matched today!
Go Gen Z USA
I'm seeing a lot of march for our lives on tumblr and the news id march with u guys but I don't live in America anyway slay it fight for our teenage rights to live
You know what is insulting
Im on snapchat watching all the stories on gun violence. I tap right after I read most powerful signs at the protests. When I click I get an add that says “To my generation” I click to skip it, but then I think no, how are they going to change advertising to generation ZÂ
“To my generation, try amazon teen,” they then go into how you can use your parents prime fine whatever. Its what they say next, they don’t tell me what I can get, they don’t tell how it is better for me to use like they do in every other commercial. They tell us “I use it and it’s lit”. IT’S LIT. What no one uses that any more anyways. There is nothing more insulting to be able to organize protest and yet they still advertise with “lit”. Advertisers if you need to advertise to teens now fine I get it, but heres some advise look at us again and look what we are doing. Then when you see it change how you do it.
This Saturday, March 24, we March For Our Lives
If you stand with the students and activists of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and the 30,000 people killed by guns every year, we’re asking you to turn out for the March For Our Lives. It’s time we say #NeverAgain and end gun violence.Â
There are 828 sibling marches planned in conjunction with the main march in Washington DC. This is global, and chances are there is one near you.Â
We understand that not everyone can attend a march, so we want to make it easy for everyone to participate. Your voice matters, even if you can’t be there in person. That’s why we’re creating a virtual space with optional ways for everyone to participate:
Join us this Saturday as we livestream the March For Our Lives starting at 12 p.m. EST. The livestream will be at the top of every dashboard on every phone, computer, and tablet that uses Tumblr that day.
There’s going to be an @action-packed dashboard takeover with original art sourced from the Tumblr community and @creatrs.
Sign the petition and make your voice heard.
Donate to March For Our Lives, if you can.
You can show your support that day by posting your illustrations, your poems, your promises—anyway you want to express yourself. We even have stickers to add to your photos, if you want. They’re a collaboration between Tumblr Creatrs (@creatrs) and our friends at Kanvas.Â

(via It's time to pass legislation that will protect and save children from gun violence. I just signed the petition. You should, too.)
my cousins are younger than me, first week of school there was a shooting, and I was terrified that I almost lost my cousins.
