der siebte Horizont, Märchen...
Birds into the sky, corpses into the earth… I continued betraying the God.
I love Sound Horizon concerts so goddamn much you guys. They’re always so fucking extra and theatrical like this because every album is a story and the songs are connected via a certain theme and/or the main character. And some characters are recurring and appear in other songs from other albums or there are outright different lyrics in the song vs in the CD booklet that changes the meaning entirely?? It’s aaaall connected going all the way back to the doujin album era from the early 2000s.
This is the first song from the Marchen concert. This dude is Märchen von Friedhof and he fell down a cursed well we a kid and fucking died then he woke up as an adult with a cursed doll named Elise and they just go around the medieval german countryside helping various ladies from modified Grimms’ fairy tales take their revenge on the people who wronged/killed them. And every single act of this concert is just as extravagant and soulful as this one bit.
We got backup dancers, niceass costumes, theatrical everything, some fight choreography, random german lyrics, goofy looking graphics that I assume you can only see in the Bluray version, Revo going hard spinning and shit. Elise is voiced by goddamn Hatsune Miku when she sings and her doll rolls around on some roomba thing in one part. Marty Friedman from Megadeth is there. Oh yeah and they just have one single dude around (Sascha) to do narration in german sometimes just because. That’s the same guy who speaks german in all the Attack on Titan OPs by Linked Horizon and the 3rd ED, Akatsuki no Requiem. Because Sound Horizon is Revo’s original band and then he founded Linked Horizon because he wanted to do music for anime and games while maintaining his brand so he made a side band. There’s also a single guy who they just get to do narration in english sometimes too (Ike Nelson, godspeed).
In short Sound Horizon is really fun and I want more people to know about this band and suffer with. All credit for the video translation goes to Kaido The Laurant you’re doing the lord’s work. If anyone knows where I can get blurays or rips of the concerts with subs dm me I need it.

This is the german way of raising your children. They had these books about in every dentist waiting room. YES you read this right. Every DENTIST had these old childtale books while you were waiting to get your teeth worked on you read stories about Edward sissorhands cutting other children and Soup-Kasper starvign cause he did not want to eat his soup. This is not a joke. I read them and I thought they were strange but also found them legit funny. No german grandma anywhere will let you starve if you don’t eat your soup. ^^ Oh and there was also the Emperors Clothes (or no clothes) and Puss in Boots. They wee less scary but all included men loosing their clothes and running around in their underpants or buttcheeked. Oh and bandits getting killed or serverely hurt was a thing as well. LOL
God I love German children’s literature
